This study provides a thorough analysis of two popular EEG systems, NeuroSky and Emotiv, in relation to applications involving brain- computer interfaces (BCIs). The creation of creative solutions aimed at improving human-computer interactions and creating new opportunities for the growth of the gaming, healthcare, education, and other industries has been made feasible by the expanding usage of EEG technology in recent years. Two well-known companies in this industry are NeuroSky and Emotiv, both of which provide distinctive features and capabilities suitable for a range of customer demands. By carefully examining signal quality, usability, specifications, software compatibility, and applications/use cases, this study aims to provide significant insights into the benefits and drawbacks of NeuroSky and Emotiv EEG devices for BCI applications. This comparison study draws on a review of contemporary literature and empirical research findings to advise researchers, developers, and practitioners about each system's suitability for various applications. In conclusion, this work provides a new perspective on EEG technology and its potential to revolutionize human-computer interactions, paving the way for future advancements in BCI research and development.

This study presents a novel method that uses advanced deep learning models, such as YOLOv8n-seg, YOLOv8x- seg, YOLOv9, and YOLOv10, for pothole recognition and distance calculation. The proposed technology locates potholes on the road (left, center, or right), measures their distances from the car, and classifies them. The proposed system then enhances road safety by alerting drivers in real-time using text-to-speech (TTS) technology. The proposed strategy improves the detection robustness and accuracy by integrating numerous models, unlike earlier approaches. The research findings show notable gains in detecting accuracy and speed, qualifying it for real-time applications. The findings of this study can greatly lower potholerelated traffic accidents and aid in the development of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
