Underwater vehicles with normal thruster configuration methods are unsatisfying in position-keeping tasks because of their limited manoeuvrability. To this end, this paper proposes an underwater ve-hicle with a novel thruster configuration method and solves the thrust allocation problem by the sequential quadratic programming(SQP) algorithm. Comparisons between the performance of the proposed thruster configuration method and the most widely used config-uration method are given based on the UUVSimulator and Gazebo. Numerical simulations show that vehicle with the proposed thrust configuration method has better performance in manoeuvrability and energy consumption. © 2022 ieee.

Quadcopter UAV relies on flexible and free maneuverability and strong expandability, which makes its application scenes more and more abundant. At present, the application of quadcopter UAVs in target detection, real-time tracking, etc. can greatly reduce labor costs and improve work efficiency. When the UAV performs vision-related tasks, the smoothness of the flight platform and the adaptability and reliability of the vision algorithm are problems to be solved. In order to improve the target detection capability and control stability of the quadrotor UAV, this paper selects the processing module, sensor and image acquisition module of the UAV. The target detection system based on the quadcopter UAV flight platform is constructed, combined with the kinematics of the quadcopter UAV, the dynamics model is constructed in the simulation environment within the MATLAB software, and the angular loop string level PID controller is determined by analyzing the model characteristics of the quadcopter UAV. And the model simulation experiments are carried out for debugging to achieve stable attitude control and verify the practicality of the target detection control system of the quadrotor UAV. © 2024 ieee.

The Modified Kutzbach-Grübler formula for a closed-chain mechanism with a bevel gear train is proposed and used to analyze a single-drive self-adaptive gripper for a faulty insulator string detection robot. The instantaneous equivalent link mechanism of bevel gear transmission is estab-lished using the screw theory. Then the variable mobility condition equation of the gear train with bevel gears is derived based on the equivalent mechanism. Finally, the Modified Kutzbach-Grübler formula is proposed based on the condition equation for calculating the mobility of the closed chain mechanism with bevel gear trains. The adaptive gripping process of a single-actuated adaptive gripper is analyzed using the pro-posed formula. The motion simulation of the adaptive gripper verifies the correctness of the proposed theory. © 2022 ieee.

The scientific and business communities have taken an interest in the Internet of Things (IoT) because of its tremendous impact on human life. The IoTs have emerged as a state-of-the-art framework for creating intelligent spaces. IoT cybersecurity has gained much attention lately due to multiple cyber threats that revealed serious cybersecurity threats. Traditional techniques for safeguarding networks are widely recognized. However, typical security methods are ineffective in protecting IoT networks and systems from cyber threats due to the resource-constrained nature of IoT devices and the unique features of IoT regulations. IoT-specific databases, instruments, and techniques are required to raise the bar for IoT cybersecurity. Thus, safeguarding the IoT environment against cyber threats becomes crucial. The goal of this investigation is to extensively examine the era of advanced threats. It aids in the automation of procedures for transferring real-time crucial data between gadgets without the need for human involvement. It presents a statistical structure for protecting entities and networking traffic associated with IoT wireless connectivity. When a networking session is formed, it comprises a computerized cyber-defense authentication process that identifies and blocks security assaults. A comparison of the performance of machine learning that has been shown useful is applied to protect the transport Layer (TL) of IoT devices. As an outcome, models generate precise conclusions that can be used to predict and discover risks in IoT-based platforms. © 2024 ieee.

The pursuit of smarter, more interconnected, automated, and data-driven production systems is driven by a mix of the next generation of information technology, artificial intelligence, and diverse market demands, such as enhanced production efficiency and optimized product quality. These elements are intertwined and form the critical factors for developing cyber-Physical systems (CPS), which are technologies that tightly integrate computing capabilities with monitoring and controlling the physical world. However, the deep development of industrial CPS introduces a new type of risk: cyber-physical attack risks. The physical layer of industrial devices, especially in process industries, may be compromised through cyber attacks on the information layer. The cyber attack issue is more likely to occur now than ever before. In this case, traditional fault trees and Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP) are no longer fully applicable to analyzing cyber-physical attack risks in large systems with greater complexity and higher coupling levels. To address this issue, this paper takes the perspective of CPS and improves upon the traditional HAZOP analysis logic by integrating indices such as the difficulty of threat execution and exploiting vulnerabilities. It extends the risk traceability pathways, traditionally a focus of functional safety disciplines within the physical domain, to the information and coupled fields. This approach enables the analysis of physical domain accident risks caused by hazardous sources (such as random hardware failures and human operator errors) and allows for the assessment of physical domain accident risks induced by cyber attacks. © 2024 ieee.

This paper investigates the issue of optimal robust non-fragile H∞ control for networked control systems (NCSs) with actuator faults under the condition of short time-varying delay. For purpose of lessen conservativeness, according to the nominal point method, the continuous NCSs model is transformed into a discrete system model with norm bounded uncertain parameters. Meanwhile, random variables are introduced to represent the gain fluctuation of the controller. Applying linear matrix inequality (LMI) method combining Lyapunov stability theory, design procedures of optimal exponential H∞ state feedback controller are given. An instance is proposed to confirm the correctness of the presented strategy. © 2023 ieee.

A design that couples the transparent silica microsphere to the AFM probe and deposits the diamond tip at the bottom of the microsphere is studied when illuminated with a plane wave. A controllable curved photonic nanojet (PNJ) named photonic hook (PH) can be generated on the backlight side, which can be explained as an interference phenomenon caused by the breaking of particle symmetry. The influence of the size, position of the tip and the diameter of microlens on the PH focusing on the outside of the microlens is studied. The simulation results show that these parameters can be used to control the bending characteristics of PH. © 2022 ieee.

In recent years, heightened concerns regarding green technology and road safety have driven extensive research and development in intelligent Transport systems (ITS) for automobiles. This initiative focuses on the implementation of automated vehicle platooning as a promising solution, specifically in investigating control algorithms for platooning behavior studies indoors. The proposed platoon structure involves n vehicles, each equipped with control algorithms for basic path control, longitudinal control, string stability, and platoon converging concepts. Utilizing vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) communications over a wireless network, the vehicles engage in information exchange. Experimental evaluations will be conducted in a controlled laboratory environment using 1/10th scale prototype models, including a leader and follower vehicles, implementing PID controllers and sensor technologies. The primary goal is to develop robust security frameworks, leveraging state-of-the-art encryption, anomaly detection algorithms, and secure communication protocols to safeguard connected vehicles from cyber threats and ensure the integrity of critical communication systems in the transportation infrastructure. © 2024 ieee.

Nowadays, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) has been increasingly employed in power transmission lines inspection and maintenance to alleviate the conventional manual effort. Nevertheless, UAV based intelligent operator is often difficult to be used under long distance and nighttime operation. Hence, this paper designs a new intelligent operator, which can stably and flexibly work beyond line of sight by improving the control system, support comprehensive perspective coverage with the optimization of real-time image monitoring system, and provide ample illumination for various nighttime operations through adopting a comprehensive spotlight combination scheme. The design is effectively validated through experimental results, which is expected to be attractive in UAV assisted power transmission lines maintenance. © 2024 ieee.
