The split-capacitor midpoint-clamped three-phase four-leg (3P4L) inverter is capable of sustaining stable output with three-phase symmetrical voltages under both balanced/unbalanced and linear/non-linear loads. This topology achieves the clamping of the neutral point of the three-phase load at Vdc/2 by controlling the fourth leg, thus separating the control of the fourth leg from that of the preceding three legs and achieving their decoupling at the topology level. This article treats the preceding three legs and the three-phase load as an equivalent controlled current source and employs state-space averaging to derive the small-signal AC equivalent circuit of the fourth leg. Addressing the coupling relationship within the fourth leg's small signals, an approximate decoupling control strategy is proposed based on the small-signal equivalent model of the fourth leg. By introducing a virtual impedance via an inner loop controller, the coupling strength within the fourth leg is decreased, achieving approximate decoupling of the fourth leg control. Furthermore, this method approximately separates the AC voltage small signals into two independent channels in the dq coordinate system, facilitating the design of closed-loop parameters. Finally, simulation verifies the proposed strategy, demonstrating that under this topology, symmetrical three-phase voltages can be outputted for any load under the control of this decoupling strategy. © 2024 ieee.

Domestic rescue capsule can provide emergency refuge space for people when urban disasters occur, which is of great significance to its research. Based on the analysis of functional requirements, the overall scheme of the rescue capsule was designed, which included foldable structure, perception and control system and communication system. In terms of structure, the parametric design was carried out in combination with the simulation results of ANSYS, so that the domestic rescue capsule has the functions of impact resistance and high temperature resistance. In terms of perception and control, the domestic rescue capsule can sense the environmental information, including the concentration of O2, CO2, CO and SO2, as well as temperature and humidity, and the environment can be adjusted automatically. In terms of communication, people inside the capsule can communicate with people outside the capsule through video and voice. The experimental results show that the domestic rescue capsule designed in this paper has good application effect. © 2022 ieee.

For modeling cyber-physical systems (CPS) there is a multitude of languages to choose from, and often one needs more than one of the existing languages to cover all concerns to be considered. The design of CPS needs to go across languages, pertaining to different paradigms, and creating overlapping and combined challenges for reaching coherence. An appropriate selection of languages for creating a new CPS requires an in-depth analysis of the architecture viewpoints relevant to all the stake-holders' concerns. This paper identifies and analyzes a set of viewpoints and their corresponding model kinds for UML and two of its profiles, SysML and MARTE, well-known for their applicability to cyber-physical systems. We discuss how the viewpoint coverage and the relationships between them can lead towards a recommendation system for choosing the right combination of languages, to be used by educators and software architects. © 2023 ieee.

We present an improved A∗ algorithm based on road boundary constrainted for road scenes such as campuses, communities, and industrial parks. Firstly, the LIDAR scans the surrounding environment and saves it in the point cloud data, pre-processes the point cloud and acquires the road boundary, then translates the acquired road boundary to generate a minimal cost feasible domain, and finally adds the feasible domain to the A∗ algorithm for path planning. To verify the feasibility of the method, experiments were conducted in both simulated and real environments. The experimental results show that the method can improve the problem of the paths planned by the A∗ algorithm being too close to the road edges and reduce the influence of road boundaries when the mobile robot is moving outdoors. © 2022 ieee.

In cities, managing street lighting efficiently is vital for enlightening safety, cutting down on energy use, and enhancing resource distribution. This project offers a complete solution that uses modern technology, including Android apps, Firebase for real-time data sharing, and control cards for connecting to physical systems. The goal of this paper is to create an easy-to-use and flexible street lighting control system that enables city officials or allocated staff to manage and monitor street lights from a distance using an Android app. The system pursues to solve common issues in traditional street lighting management, like slow fault response, poor energy efficiency, and limited monitoring options. By using Firebase, a real-time database, the system allows continuous communication between the Android app and the street lighting setup. Firebase provides rapid updates and data management, allowing for fast responses to user commands and real-time tracking of street light conditions. control cards help as the link between the digital control system and the street lighting hardware, featuring embedded controllers that can understand commands from the Android app and relay them to the suitable street lights. © 2024 ieee.

The integration of Industry 4.0 (I4.0) technologies is transforming various society sectors, and particularly the manufacturing sector, promoting a digital transformation that fosters smart and interconnected systems. The Digital Twin (DT) acts as a key component in the digital transformation landscape and its integration with I4.0 technologies paves the way for the implementation of Zero Defect Manufacturing strategies. A spotlight on the automotive industry underscores the power of DT applications for real-time defect detection and improvement of product quality and process efficiency. However, the proper DT implementation, contributing to their integration and interoperability, requires the compliance with standards and reference architectures. Having this in mind, this paper describes the design of a DT architecture compliant with the ISO 23247 standard and aligned with the RAMI 4.0 to cover the dimensional measurement process comprising inspection stations placed in the body shop area of an automotive assembly line. This implementation enables the real-time and early identification of defects along the assembly process, allowing to prevent their occurrence at a single stage and their propagation to downstream processes.

This paper presents a kinetic simulation mechanism of torque-free satellites, which is based on a mobile parallel manipulator (MPM). First, kinetics of the mechanism and torque-free satellites is characterized. Next we develop an adaptive architecture to efficiently search the simulation mechanism's workspace with or without the mobile base. Then, a dynamic programming method is proposed to plan the MPM's trajectory. This method computes manipubility and the singularity avoidance coefficient of the stewart platform and optimize the trajectory in terms of smoothness and velocity, it ensures that the mobile base moves smoothly and the stewart platform has enough space to compensate the mobile base's movement error. Finally, the experiment results verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the simulation mechanism as well as the planning algorithm. © 2022 ieee.

Signed Directed Graphs (SDGs) are among the very beneficial, and well-known tools for fault diagnosis in chemical process plants. Based on the size of the process plant, their corresponding SDGs can be very large in size;and therefore, significantly difficult to navigate. Besides that, the recent advancement in semantic description of process structures and intelligent Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), has led to the development of several computer tools for navigating in a process plant structure and examining the connectivity of different process equipment to each other. In this study a prototype for an intelligent P&ID, in which the SDG is considered to help the user understand the influence of process parameters on each other is developed. Requirements were derived and implemented as a click prototype, using Axure RP. The evaluation results indicate that despite the high understandability of the prototype, the cognitive efforts for linking the information derived from the SDG with the plant's P&ID scheme are still too high for achieving a good overall usability. © 2023 ieee.

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a significant technological advancement that uses the internet to enable seamless communication between various devices, allowing people and objects to connect anytime and from anywhere. In this research, we present an intelligent smart automation model that can remotely operate household appliances and water the garden plants from anywhere in the world. 'Home automation' is a quickly emerging technology that minimizes the work that humans must perform. Certain home automation systems are offered to people seeking luxurious, advanced home automation systems. This method is safe because it works best for the elderly and disabled people. However, certain people could find it more challenging to use certain systems because of their special demands. The system's primary features are voice recognition and intelligent interaction. Our main objective is to develop an advanced home automation system that has combined Alexa with the ESP 8266 module to improve security, reduce power consumption and minimize user effort. The model includes two essential sensors, a soil moisture sensor, a temperature and humidity sensor. All hardware components in this model are cost-effective, readily available, and easily replaceable. © 2024 ieee.
