The Internet of Things (IoT) is a significant technological advancement that uses the internet to enable seamless communication between various devices, allowing people and objects to connect anytime and from anywhere. In this research, we present an intelligent smart automation model that can remotely operate household appliances and water the garden plants from anywhere in the world. 'Home automation' is a quickly emerging technology that minimizes the work that humans must perform. Certain home automation systems are offered to people seeking luxurious, advanced home automation systems. This method is safe because it works best for the elderly and disabled people. However, certain people could find it more challenging to use certain systems because of their special demands. The system's primary features are voice recognition and intelligent interaction. Our main objective is to develop an advanced home automation system that has combined Alexa with the ESP 8266 module to improve security, reduce power consumption and minimize user effort. The model includes two essential sensors, a soil moisture sensor, a temperature and humidity sensor. All hardware components in this model are cost-effective, readily available, and easily replaceable. © 2024 ieee.

The attitude control problem of hypersonic flight vehicles (HFV) in the presence of bias faults is addressed in this paper, and an intelligent fault-tolerant control strategy using Adaptive Dynamic Programming (ADP) is proposed. A new performance index function is adopted for the fault-tolerant controller design to deal with bias faults. The fault-tolerant control problem is transformed as an optimized control problem based on the improved performance index function. Utilizing policy iteration, a critic neural network is constructed to solve the Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman equation and the approximate optimal controller is obtained. The uniform ultimate boundedness of the closed-loop system is proved by the Lyapunov stability theorem. Theoretical derivation and simulation verification demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed fault-tolerant control strategy. © 2024 ieee.

At present, most of the cleaning of oil storage tanks is in the manual cleaning stage. On the one hand, manual cleaning has high labor intensity and high-risk factor, on the other hand, low cleaning efficiency leads to high cleaning costs. In response to the urgent needs and actual operating conditions of the oil tank cleaning industry, the crawler hydraulic sludge cleaning robot is developed in this paper which can replace the manual cleaning of oil tanks to a certain extent. This article mainly introduces the structure and working process of the robot as well as the strength check of the key components. Afterwards, the kinematics analysis of the robot in the working state is carried out. © 2022 ieee.

Current industrial automation systems are facing increasing dynamics. Thus, acquiring and managing heterogeneous data within the Digital Twin to enable decision making is necessary although challenging. Knowledge Graphs unify and relate data, enabling the derivation of new insights. In this contribution, an approach for context-enriched modeling of cyber-physical production systems is proposed, in order to realize a Knowledge Graph enhanced intelligent Digital Twin further considering the context. Therefore, the modeling approach of the Knowledge Graph considers context and serves as a base for the graph embeddings to gain further knowledge about the production system. This knowledge is used within the architecture of the intelligent Digital Twin. The resulting benefits, i.e. diverse manifestations of an improved decision making, are highlighted by the use case of self-organized reconfiguration management.

Against the background of increasing aging and significant aging of the elderly population, the problem of mismatching social care services for the elderly has become increasingly prominent due to the miniaturization of families, the shortage of service-oriented human resources in elderly care institutions, and the large scale and complex composition of disabled elderly people. The state proposes to actively respond to aging and smart old-age care, and use bath aids to assist bathing. At present, there are many different types of bath aids products at home and abroad, but generally, the summary of bath aids is not comprehensive, the classification is vague, and there is a lack of comprehensive listing and analysis of products, a systematic review of bathing aids is lacking. This paper systematically reviews the current situation of bathing aids at home and abroad, which has reference significance for the development of bathing aids in the future. © 2022 ieee.

Autonomous cooperative planning (ACP) is a promising technique to improve the efficiency and safety of multi-vehicle interactions for future intelligent transportation systems. However, realizing robust ACP is a challenge due to the aggregation of perception, motion, and communication uncertainties. This paper proposes a novel multi-uncertainty aware ACP (MUACP) framework that simultaneously accounts for multiple types of uncertainties via regularized cooperative model predictive control (RC-MPC). The regularizers and constraints for perception, motion, and communication are constructed according to the confidence levels, weather conditions, and outage probabilities, respectively. The effectiveness of the proposed method is evaluated in the Car Learning to Act (CARLA) simulation platform. Results demonstrate that the proposed MUACP efficiently performs cooperative formation in real time and outperforms other benchmark approaches in various scenarios under imperfect knowledge of the environment.

Motivated by the rapid advancement of industrial cyber-physical systems (ICPS) and rising voices in favor of zero trust (ZT) security, in this paper, we present an edge-enabled zero trust architecture (ZTA) for ICPS. ZT is thought to be relevant to ICPS with the spatial and temporal granularity in the suggested architecture. In addition to continuous authentication and a dynamic access-control mechanism at the temporal granularity, we recommend edge segmentation at the spatial granularity with microservices as the division units. Finally, we conduct a security assessment of the proposed architecture in the presence of threats faced by ICPS. Overall, our analysis shows that the proposed ZTA helps to promote the security of ICPS.

The growing integration of Internet of Things (IoT) technology into smart fueling systems has greatly improved operational efficiency and resource management. However, as these systems get more complicated and interconnected, guaranteeing their robustness and security becomes increasingly important. This study provides a complete examination of the robustness and security measures used in IoT-based smart fuel filling systems. We examine the available literature to identify potential risks and challenges associated with these systems. We then present a methodology for evaluating system robustness in the face of diverse environmental conditions, hardware failures, and software vulnerabilities. In addition, we examine the use of security measures such as data encryption, access control mechanisms, and intrusion detection systems to protect against cyber threats and illegal access. We assess the effectiveness of these strategies in risk mitigation and resilience enhancement of smart gasoline filling systems using simulations and realworld trials. Our findings help system designers, operators, and governments improve the security and dependability of IoT-enabled fuelling infrastructure.

This study investigates hybrid-triggered and observer-based output feedback H-infinity control for Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy cyber-physical systems (CPSs) under denial of service (DoS) attacks. To address the challenges posed by nonlinear discrete network physical systems, the T-S fuzzy model is adopted. The DoS attacks model and the hybrid trigger mechanism (HTM) are constructed using two independent Bernoulli distributions. A hybrid event-triggered cooperative control approach is proposed to overcome the limitation of directly measuring state variables based on observer output feedback. A well-established matrix decoupling technique is employed to ensure sufficient conditions for the controller and observer gain establishment. systems stability is guaranteed by utilizing the Lyapunov function and Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI) techniques. From the numerical example, the method is proved to be effective.

The safety of autonomous vehicles relies on dependable and secure infrastructure for intelligent transportation. The doctoral research described in this paper aims to enable self-healing and survivability of the intelligent transportation systems required for autonomous vehicles (AV-ITS). The proposed approach is comprised of four major elements: qualitative and quantitative modeling of the AV-ITS, stochastic analysis to capture and quantify interdependencies, mitigation of disruptions, and validation of efficacy of the self-healing process. This paper describes the overall methodology and presents preliminary results, including an agent-based model for detection of and recovery from disruptions to the AV-ITS.
