The complex operation of contemporary power systems is closely linked to the widespread integration of computer networks, or cyber networks. These applications fall into two general categories: direct and indirect interdependencies, which are the result of how they communicate with power networks. Past studies explored the area of direct interdependencies in cyber-power networks and presented a state mapping-based model that was carefully designed to assess its impact on power system dependability. The investigation of indirect relationships between cyber and electricity networks is the new emphasis of this article. A wide range of applications involving indirect interdependencies in modern power systems are examined, laying the foundation for the release of a model that is based on state updating. This model is carefully crafted to provide a numerical evaluation of cyber-power networks' dependability in the face of indirect interdependencies. Two separate models are used to maximize data communication inside the cyber network and minimize load limitation in the power network, respectively, in order to maximize the functioning of these integrated networks. In order to demonstrate the efficacy of the suggested solution model, the research focuses on a high-voltage converter equipped with both protection and monitoring devices. By taking a comprehensive approach, the research makes a substantial contribution to a deeper understanding of the complex interactions between cyber and electricity networks, providing priceless insights for enhancing the dependability of these interconnected systems. © 2023 ieee.

The real fish has the high efficiency of its propulsion and maneuvering mechanism, in order to design a bionic robotic fish with the good movement performance, this paper presents the bionic robotic fish mechanical structure optimization design and its performance analysis. In this paper, the bionic robotic fish is composed with four segments, whose length is selected as the decision variables;it selects the deviation value as the optimization objective function that between the robotic fish swing and the real fish body wave curves in a motion period;combined with the length constraint for each segment, it establishes the constraint conditions for the mechanical structure optimization problem. Based on the optimal segments, it establishes the optimized three-dimensional model for bionic robotic fish, which is imported into the Automatic Dynamic Analysis of Mechanical systems (ADAMS) software for the performance analysis, it can provide the theoretical basis for bionic robotic fish design, the simulation results illustrate the effectiveness of mechanical structure optimization design, which improves the maneuverability of the bionic robot fish effectively. © 2022 ieee.

The physical basis of human erect and motion balance includes flexible multi-DoF lower limbs and foot tactile perception. Most existing humanoid lower limbs focus on providing physical support and mobility, with little work on more bionic DoFs or tactile sensing abilities that are more than significant for a fully humanoid system. This study developed a redundant humanoid lower limb with whole-foot tactile sensing capability. An eight-DoF mechanism with humanoid joints was designed, and a tactile sensor with electric double-layer capacitors (EDLC) principle wrapped the 3D-curved foot surface. An STM32-based circuitry integrating tactile perception and control with an inverse kinematics algorithm was experimentally demonstrated. A mapping relationship between tactile information and control commands (Z-CMD) was established. The effectiveness and feasibility of the robotic system were verified by an obstacle avoidance experiment with a teaching-playback function. This work provides novel insight and methodology for humanoid robots and tactile-based bionic intelligence. © 2022 ieee.

This study concerns trajectory inclination control with the uncertainty of weight-on-bit for the directional drilling process. The trajectory inclination model considers the variation of weight-on-bit and accounts for the uncertainty term of the model. A two-layer observer-based control scheme of the trajectory inclination is developed to compensate for the unavailability of direct measurement of trajectory inclination, the uncertainty of weight-on-bit, and external disturbances. The system's stability is analyzed through the Lyapunov function and then converted to a linear matrix inequality (LMI) form to obtain the control parameter gains. Eventually, some simulations manifest our control system can effectively eliminate the influence of uncertainty of weight-on-bit and external disturbances.

With the economic crisis that is looming over the world due to changes in the energy sector and a reduction in the supply of certain types of products, energy and resource efficiency issues are becoming more relevant for the food industry. Also important is the preservation of the environment and the implementation of Cleaner Production trends. Most enterprises follow the concept of Industry 4.0 and increase efficiency through the implementation of intelligent methods, in particular machine learning. The paper proposes a neural network model of sugar production. The model makes it possible to predict the main estimates of resource efficiency used to correct the technological modes of production by the operator-technologist. The structure of the operational decision support system has been developed and is used by personnel to model and predict changes in resource efficiency estimates and KPIs calculated on their basis. Its feature is the integration of methods for achieving resource efficiency, improving environmental performance and ensuring KPIs. To do this, at the initial stage, an analysis of the main flows that affect resource efficiency and an assessment of their importance was carried out. Ensuring Production Performance is confirmed by the simulation and the adequacy of the created neural network accuracy of more than 95%. © 2023 ieee.

This paper addresses the synchronization for coupled reaction-diffusion neural networks (CRNNs) with multi-state couplings suffering attacks. By utilizing the Kronecker product, a network synchronization criterion is formulated. Moreover, since networks suffering attacks may not be synchronized in some circumstances, a simple controller is also developed. Finally, the effectiveness of the devised control schemes is verified through a numerical example.

In order to address the challenges posed by climate change and global warming, air source heat pumps, as a green and energy-saving technology, are becoming increasingly popular in building space heating. The real-time frosting problem in the air source heat pump heating mode has not been accurately identified, resulting in problems such as delayed defrosting and unclean defrosting. This article is based on the method of long and short-term memory neural networks, analyzing the relevant principles of the frost process. Using neural network models and relevant data collected in the laboratory, the important variables required for the frost model, namely the real-time air volume value of the outdoor unit, are predicted. The test results show that the established air volume prediction model can accurately reflect the real-time air volume value of the next node, with a MAPE value within 3%, achieving relatively accurate early prediction. © 2024 ieee.

Smart cameras have gained immense popularity in commercial markets for their safety and security capabilities. Yet, the prevalent design of these intelligent camera systems often compels users to cede control of their data to potentially untrusted service providers, such as cloud services. This relinquishment can lead to unauthorized data access by these intermediaries, posing significant security and privacy risks. The conventional solutions have been to employ privacy-enhancing technologies to bypass these intermediaries, but at the cost of increased overhead for video streaming and sharing. In our study, we introduce SecSCS, a user-centric, blockchain-based secure camera system that incorporates essential features like video streaming, sharing, deletion, and permission restoration. SecSCS integrates a blockchain-enabled user login protocol with a secure device pairing mechanism that combines visual authorization with blockchain to flexibly manage the device ownership. We utilize blockchain to provide integrity protection for the video clips stored remotely, ensuring the video data remains tamper-proof. Furthermore, we present a video frame compression and a fast video encryption method aimed at boosting the efficiency of smart camera systems. Our evaluations show that, in comparison to the leading decentralized scheme, CaCTUs, SecSCS improves the computational and communication overhead for live streaming by a factor of 12.58 and 11.29, respectively, at a frame rate of 24 fps and a resolution of 720p.

This research focuses on discovering backdoor malware and DNS spoofing in IoT networks, as well as threats common in the use of IoT solutions. In this paper, previous IoT cyber attacks are reviewed to explain how data from the networks can be used in recognizing such an attack in advance, as well as the consequences of the attacks in the functioning of the IoT framework and its ability to rebound. The evaluation of detection accuracy included three models: Random Forest, Decision Tree, and Logistic Regression. The Random Forest model exhibited the best results with 95 percent accuracy and 94 percent precision, which would help deal with both types of threats. © 2025 ieee.

After the integration of new energy sources such as wind power and photovoltaics, as well as various flexible loads into the distribution network, higher requirements have been put forward for the flexible regulation of power flow in the distribution network. However, the topology structure of traditional flexible interconnection devices in distribution networks is complex, expensive, and difficult to promote and apply. Therefore, this paper proposes a topology of hybrid flexible interconnection device formed by parallel connection of power electronic power control unit and mechanical switch. The mathematical model of the topology is further constructed, and the control strategy of the device is designed. Finally, the ability of flexible interconnection of the device is verified by PSCAD/EMTDC simulation software. © 2024 ieee.
