Since the geospatial data is providing people with great convenience in daily ***'s urgent to find an effective and efficient way to manage the increasingly growing geospatial *** this paper,we propose a novel approach based on *** storage layer we build a shared grid environment for data *** then in logical layer we develop a geo-middleware that consists of a server,a geospatial operation library and a client toolkit,to enable the access and integration of geospatial data stored in SDBMSs in the *** application layer we design a prototype system for the demonstration of our *** a word,by combining grid technology and middleware technology,adopting several brilliant open source projects and developing a prototype system,we implement our approach *** a demonstration with a practical scenario,we verify the feasibility and practicability of our ***,since our approach has great expansibility,we think our work could help GIScientists contribute a viable way for massive geospatial data management in the future.

Traditional cost control information system fails to meet the requirements of the complex construction project,since it requires more interoperability with various managerial works and extensive data integration with other information *** imperative challenges require a new cost control module incorporated with the existing Project Management Information system (PMIS).Based on the real case of EXPO 2010 Shanghai construction project,this paper develops a new project cost control information system with three major functions including cost information integration,cost control analysis,and intelligent *** illustrate this system,the study is structured by three ***,the logic relationships among different integrated information objectives are discussed and organized in a static structure diagram described by Unified Modeling Language (UML).Then the sequential data workflow is analyzed based on the optimized communication and collaboration ***,various types of cost analysis reports are generated in light of project owner's specific *** research not only proposes a new methodology to study the cost control system in complex project environment but also provides a successful practical toolkit for the real construction projects.

Since the increasing of vehicle flow, manual or semiautomatic tolling mode has not meet the needs of vehicle operation to the charging managing system on speedways nowadays, which induced serious traffic congestion at the charging passageway and caused enormous economic loss. The construction of national fundamental geographic information system has achieved initial success at present, with the applications of GPS more and more popular, the vehicle navigation software developed more and more extensive, the intelligent transportation system is developing rapidly so that it is possible to establish the expressway intelligent road pricing system by using the integrated technology of GPS/GIS based on the achievements of above aspects. The configuration and the key techniques on the expressway intelligent road pricing system with GPS/GIS integrated technology are discussed and the simulations and validates to some arithmetic. Firstly, the speedway net database is designed that will fit to the road charging according to itself characteristics of intelligent traffic. Secondly, some issues are studied such as the establish of wide-area differential network, the composite positioning, the road matching technique, the road charging, the storage and query of vehicle track, and so on. Finally, the simulation and verification on the key techniques are realized in the expressway intelligent toll system by means of integration developing technology based on the platform software of MapInfo.

Wireless networked control systems have begun to gain acceptance during the last decade, largely due to the increased flexibility and lower costs they promise to provide. The pace of application has been held back, however, by the reluctance of industry to make the accommodations necessary to allow wireless paths to be incorporated in process control loops, thus limiting the potential applications and benefits of wireless systems. The problem is that there are conflicts between maintaining the performance of control loops, which can be degraded by slow data rates and delays in wireless paths, and the usual objectives in managing a wireless sensor network, namely freedom to configure the network and to adjust data rates at will, to maximize efficiency and to conserve energy consumption in the network nodes, which are very often battery powered. We address this conflict by developing a new! component for use in industrial control systems, called a Wireless Networked Control system Coordination Agent. This agent is designed to be part of an intelligent supervisory control system, and to grant the wireless sensor network gateway as much latitude in meeting its objectives as possible while maintaining the performance of control loops that incorporate wireless paths, thus adding to the safety and reliability of future wireless networked control systems. In this discussion we deal with data rates and control-loop path delays as the two primary concerns;in the future we plan to extend the scope of this agent to handle more issues, such as jitter and wireless sensor network loading effects (e.g., variation of path delays with changes in loading).

Since the late 1980s, the simple network management protocol (SNMP) as the Internet management standard has been developed. The management of IP networks has exclusively relied on the SNMP. But the SNMP management framework has some weaknesses especially related to extensibility configuration management and efficient application development processes. Today, researchers and developers in the network and system management area have begun to investigate the use of Extensible Markup Language (XML) technologies seems to promise a fancy way out of this trouble. This paper introduces the concept of applying XML technologies to developing XML-based management systems to solve the problems that exist in the SNMP-based network management. We present a kind of network management system based XML which has advantage in platform-free, efficiency and flexibility. We have validated this architecture by implementing it and using it in managing network devices and systems. ©2010 ieee.

Driven by the policy of the national construction projects, China's economy has been developing rapidly. In this situation, current construction projects have those features such as large engineering, complex structures, many construction links, long construction cycle, demanding technical quality, complex construction interface, and various influencing factors. In building construction, project investors and management only tend to attach importance to controlling investment and quality, while pay inadequate attention to the control of the construction project's progress. So many projects failed to complete within the specified time basing on a reasonable schedule, the project delays are quite serious, which causes the accumulation of funds, superfluous equipment and materials, waste of human resources. Base on the study of the current status of the control of China's large-scale construction projects' progress, this paper elaborates the principles of the systomatical management for construction project's progress, puts forward some measures for systematically managing construction project's progress, and gives some effective recommendations on construction project's control and systematical management. © 2010 ieee.

Current system security strategies are failing and cannot be fixed by security engineers alone. The reason for failure is evident: the attack community operates as an intelligent, multi-agent, self organizing, system-of-systems - with swarm intelligence, tight learning loops, fast evolution, and dedicated intent. Next generation security must engage in true co-evolution, engaging in this arms race with systemic self-organization that leverages community and other forms of multi-agent architectures at least equally agile to the adversary in six observed common characteristics : self organization, adaptable tactics, reactive resilience, evolvable strategies, proactive innovation, and harmonious operations. These concepts cannot be effectively employed by security engineers on sufficient scale without first being enabled by system engineers working at the architectural level. But even then, without appreciation and concurrence by decision makers, self-organizing strategies will fail to gain sufficient deployment. T h e principal impediment to developing and fielding these strategies is not lack of know-how, but rather lack of a common language and vision that can remove the decision-maker distrust of self organization and unite system engineers and security engineers in architecturally synergistic sol ution s. This article reports on a cross-disci p l in e pattern project that is discovering and cataloging patterns of self-organizing system-of-systems security. Pattern cataloging projects generally collect best practice hi story within a single domain. This cross-domain project is necessarily looking into many domains to find recurrent patterns across ecological system s, biological system s, social system s, network system s, enterprise system s, multi-agent system s, ad-hoc networks, un manned autonomous system s, and others. Aquatic environments are extremely difficult for developing, deploying, and maintaining wireless sensor networks. Networks deployed in aquatic settings face multiple challenges, such as marine fowling of equipment, limited power supply, communications difficulties, and restricted accessibility for maintaining and updating sensor nodes. The SEMAT project is an initiative to create "smart", low-cost, heterogeneous wireless sensor networks, tailored to alleviating the aforementioned constraints. Networks can be instantly deployable with minimal setup overheads and can utilise equipment from multiple vendors. This paper presents our experiences with developing the initial technologies to establish SEMAT for field tests. We present the design methodology and challenges faced for creating a marine-based heterogeneous wireless sensor network platform. The result is a low cost solution, with sufficient accuracy for undertaking a study into the factors contributing to Lyngbya algae blooms in Deception Bay, Queensland. The platform builds a case for the merits of the final SEMAT system, as ultimately many of the software and basic hardware challenges for future aquatic deployments have been overcome. This is significant as it allows researchers to focus on the area under study, rather than the specifics of setting up and managing the network. © 2010 ieee.

We design and implement a web-based open laboratory information management platform called WOLIMP which is an integrated portal and enables users to better understand the open laboratory's comprehensive overview, research projects and results. WOLIMP provides an effective news management, application and review issues, laboratory document management, dynamic catalog management, and user-access control management as well. WOLIMP offers a comprehensive overview of the research projects and results of laboratory. Users are able to create personal space which is autonomously managed. They are also allowed to express their options and show their academic views on academic research. By using OOAD, we design the whole system and complete UML diagrams. Finally we implement the system using J2EE and SQL Server 2005. It achieves functions such as releasing laboratory arrangements, dissemination and application information of open issues, and the display of the results. The system has a friendly interface and improves the management level of open laboratory. © 2010 ieee.
