The ultimate goal of Internet of Vehicles (IoV) is to enhance the safety, intelligence, and efficiency of traffic systems. However, dynamic network topology, high speed, and exposed communication links inevitably pose looming threats to vehicle safety. Thus, establishing trust sharing mechanism between traffic entities is pivotal to safeguarding the safety of IoV. This paper proposes a distributed trust sharing provisioning utilizing Reservoir computing-based path predicting algorithm. In this paper, Echo State Network and Deep Q-Network are novelly combined to realize trust information sharing in Partially Observable Markov Decision Process (POMDP) scenarios. In addition, in DRL state space design, we consider the current trust assessment results of different clusters in front of the vehicle to maximize the protection of vehicle network security. Finally, extensive simulations are conducted to prove that the proposed scheme has excellent convergence speed, verifying the feasibility and effectiveness.

In WSN, data aggregation is an important part of the data collection process. It is used to reduce network traffic and reduce energy consumption. However, this process comes with a cut-off between energy balance and delay. This cut-off is due to the competing interests of the nodes in the network: the sensors require energy to transmit data, while the sinks require low delays in data collection. In order to maintain energy balance and reduce delay, the system must select suitable methods of data aggregation that are both energy-efficient and low-delay. To reduce energy consumption, the system can use energy-conserving data aggregation protocols, such as clustering and tree-structured routing. To reduce delay, they system can use low-delay data aggregation techniques, such as time synchronization and distributed aggregation. By understanding the cut-off between energy balance and delay in I-NDA, it is possible to make informed decisions on the selection of suitable protocols and techniques to ensure energy-efficiency and low-delay data collection. It is important to select the right set of protocols and techniques to balance the efficiency and delay parameters. © 2024 ieee.

Video surveillance in intelligent transportation systems is advancing rapidly, with video analytics technology being used to enhance the security of the Internet of Vehicles (IoV) system. However, the sheer volume of video data from cameras and the computational intensity of video analysis pose significant challenges to the IoV network. To address this, mobile edge computing (MEC) has been introduced to offload video tasks from cameras to mobile edge servers/groups formed by vehicles. However, the resource-constrained nature of edge servers and vehicle groups necessitates the design of effective offloading strategies. Additionally, ensuring the security of user data during transmission and computation is a pressing issue. Moreover, the heterogeneous devices in the IoV system may be reluctant to participate in the collaborative processing of video tasks due to mistrust and lack of incentives. To tackle these challenges, we propose a cooperative computing offloading and resource allocation framework that integrates blockchain and MEC to provide secure and low-latency computing offloading services for the IoV system. We also design an efficient incentive mechanism to promote the collaborative processing of video tasks. Our framework formulates computing offloading and resource allocation as a joint optimization problem to maximize the system revenue, and we propose an algorithm based on the alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM) to solve the distributed optimization problem with fast convergence and low complexity. Simulation results demonstrate that compared to the typical baselines, our scheme can achieve the maximum system revenue and effectively reduce the system delay.

Wireless sensor Network's based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) technique is an emerging field in today's environment for researchers. It gives fruitful results in various applications like weather forecasting, medical, forest fire detection etc. This paper presents detection of fire in forests at first level. For detecting probability of fire in forests previously proposed Mutual Exclusive Sleep Awake distributed Data Aggregation (MESA2DA) protocol and fuzzy logic of Artificial Intelligence are used. Cluster head produced by MESA2DA protocol uses fuzzy logic of AI for detection of fire. Simulation results are obtained by using FIS tool of MATLAB 8.6. © 2023 ieee.

The ever-increasing focus on preventative healthcare and remote patient monitoring has driven the need for innovative solutions. Traditionally, measuring vital signs in both clinical and home settings has relied on a collection of individual devices, often leading to cluttered setups, patient discomfort, and potential inaccuracies due to user error. This paper proposes a multi-parameter acquisition system designed to address these limitations. The system integrates the measurement of essential parameters into a single, user-friendly device. This streamlined approach not only reduces measurement complexity but also improves patient comfort by eliminating the need for multiple devices and cumbersome wires. The design of the system, including its sensors, hardware components, and data processing unit is presented in detail. The device serves a dual purpose. Firstly, it empowers individuals at home by providing them with a single device to monitor their vital signs. Secondly, for hospitals, the device offers a streamlined and less cumbersome way to visualize essential patient parameters, allowing for improved monitoring efficiency. © 2024 ieee.

With the evolution of the distributed computing model, the service times of the applications processed on such platforms present increased variability. Moreover, the workload in such environments has usually the structure of linear workflows (LWs). Jobs of this type consist of a set of tasks which need to be processed one after the other. LWs often result in uneven processor queues, as they attempt to leverage data locality. Consequently, it is very important to employ appropriate scheduling strategies in order to achieve good performance, as well as fairness in the workload execution. In this paper we aim to examine efficient scheduling techniques of LWs. We consider that the variability in the task service demands is high. Three scheduling schemes are employed in a distributed system. Their performance is evaluated and compared using simulation. The simulation results demonstrate the different potential of the scheduling approaches which we use. Also, they reveal that the efficacy of the scheduling schemes is influenced by, the coefficient of variation of the probability distribution of service times of the tasks of the linear workflow jobs, the load level, and whether the primary scheduling objective is fairness. © 2023 ieee.

There is a vast array of fields making use of WSN, including healthcare, transportation, combat, surveillance, environment, and more. Their limited energy resources, communication capabilities, and processing power define them. Because of their design and placement in dangerous, unsupervised areas, they are susceptible to assaults. The network's overall security is being enhanced with the introduction of new techniques. The three mainstays of WSN security - intrusion prevention, intrusion detection, and mitigation - are usually implemented together. The Intrusion Detection System (IDS), the second line of defense in a wireless sensor network, receives the algorithms and schemes needed to detect intrusions at various levels from this study. Hierarchical sensor networks, which are the building blocks of this study's sensor network design, include clustering and a tree-like structure for communication with the base station. At each architectural level - the node, the cluster head, and the base station - a hybrid intrusion detection system is deployed. The data modification assault was detected with the use of temporal correlations of sensor signals in the node level intrusion detection system. To identify the discrepancy between the detected value and the threshold value, data anomaly is calculated, updated, and compared. Accuracy and precision are considered while deciding on a threshold value. Handling data with care. The cluster-level intrusion detection system uses the Radial Basis function to identify malicious patterns, malicious flooding assaults, and selfish misbehavior. In order to minimize the number of iterations required for RBF training, the optimization techniques of Self Organizing Map and Particle Swarm Optimization are used. The perfect RBF is taught to identify sinkhole attacks, anomalous behavior, selective forwarding, and self-serving misconduct in base station intrusion detection systems. Reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RISs) have emerged as an efficient and cost-effective technique to enhance a great variety of possible performances of the Internet of Things (IoT) systems by re-configuring the propagation environment. Motivated by this, we investigate the RIS-assisted edge computing systems for batteryless IoT sensors (b-IoT) under Rician fading channel conditions. We consider a fixed time frame divided into three slots. A b-IoT sensor harvests energy from radio frequency signals from a nearby base station (BS) during the first time slot. While performing local computation, the b-IoT sensor offloads computation bits to the BS and an IoT sensor using device-to-device communications protocol in the second and final time slots, respectively. An offloading ratio differentiates the fraction of computational bits, offloaded to BS and IoT sensors. We formulate the optimization problem with the convex sum of computational bits as objective function and energy consumption, offloading ratio, and energy harvesting constraints. We propose a gradient descent-based iterative algorithm to solve the optimization problem. Simulation assessments depict RIS panel-assisted edge computing, and energy harvesting enhances the performance by more than 90% compared to the traditional baseline schemes, such as networks with no RIS panel.
