Blockchain data has become a popular subject in studying various aspects of blockchains including the security of underlying mechanisms. However, the main chain block data, usually available from block explorer services, does not serve as a sufficient source of transaction and block dynamics that are only visible from a large-scale event measurement. In this paper, the transaction and block arrival events of the two popular public blockchains, i.e., Bitcoin and Ethereum, are measured to investigate the hidden dynamics of blockchain networks. We share our key findings and security implications including a false universal assumption of previous mining related studies and an invalid transaction propagation problem that can be exploited to launch a Denial-of-Service attack on a network.

The agriculture industry is in a constant state of transformation, with ongoing upgrades in farming equipment, agricultural infrastructure, and production facilities. Solar panels offer versatile solutions with myriad applications in farming. However, the substantial investment made by both farmers and governments in Solar PV pumping systems is underutilized, as these systems operate for just 150 days annually, essentially half the year. To maximize the potential of solar photovoltaic systems, which generate electricity year-round during sunny hours, it is crucial for the controllers installed in these solar pumping systems to serve multiple purposes, catering to a variety of agricultural and other farmer needs. This single solar-powered product has the capability to operate a wide range of applications, including water pumping, a mobile application, soil conditioning sensors, an ultrasonic sensor, a Bluetooth module, a battery, and an Arduino Uno *** diversification has the potential to significantly boost agricultural productivity and, in turn, increase farmer *** primary aim of this study is to create remotely accessible, multi-mode, cost-effective, simple, highly reliable, and environmentally friendly solar water pumping systems that offer financial benefits to Indian farmers year-round. Solar water pumps have the potential to greatly benefit Indian farmers by providing both a consistent water supply and an additional source of income. © 2023 ieee.

The integration of electrochemical energy storage (EES) systems in diverse applications from portable devices to grid storage is crucial for the transition to sustainable energy sources. Efficient battery management is vital for optimizing performance and ensuring safety, with a focus on the strategic placement of sensors and battery pack configuration. This paper introduces a mixed-integer nonlinear programming (MINLP) model that optimizes these aspects by considering three-dimensional spatial configurations and diverse battery types. It extends beyond traditional methods by incorporating adaptive strategies that enhance predictive capabilities and operational efficiency. By applying this model in detailed case studies, the paper demonstrates significant improvements in cost efficiency and system reliability, offering a robust framework for enhancing battery management systems in various technological and operational settings. Accurate and efficient airway segmentation is essential for evaluating pulmonary diseases, aiding diagnosis, reducing the preoperative burden of airway identification, and minimizing patient discomfort during prolonged surgeries. However, current pulmonary airway reconstruction techniques are hindered by two major challenges: difficulty in accurately reconstructing fine airway branches due to the tendency to overlook small targets, and insufficient structural connectivity leading to frequent branch discontinuities within the airway tree. These limitations directly affect the clinical applicability of reconstructed airways. To overcome these challenges, a novel 3D pulmonary airway segmentation multi-task framework is proposed, designed to enhance the performance of existing backbone models. This approach integrates Anatomical Prior-Based Multi-Task Learning (AP-MTL) through the use of Gaussian-constructed connectivity-enhanced isosurfaces, significantly improving the network's ability to maintain airway continuity. Additionally, a Class-Balanced CT Density Distribution Reconstruction mechanism (DDR-CB) is introduced, further refining the model's capability to detect and segment fine airway branches. As a result of these enhancements, the model demonstrates a 11.5% average improvement in segmentation accuracy and connectivity compared to the baseline. Vehicular network enabled vehicle health, safety and monitoring system is gaining attention for its potential application while software defined network (SDN) is supporting vehicular communication for designing core of the network. Vehicular network emits enormous amount of data where most of them are sensor data and that amount of data required to undergo analyzed for productive output. There are two types of sensor data are used in vehicular network, vehicle sensor data (VSD) and infrastructure sensor data (ISD). Flow based SDN controller examines every packet of the network which is responsible of engagement of resources gravely. For vehicular health monitoring and safety applications, SDN doesn't required to check and analyze ISD. In this paper, a framework is proposed that promises to ignore ISD and only consider VSD for vehicle health, safety and monitoring applications. With this connections, this paper proposes big data module along with SDN controller and inside the big data module, a partitioner program is designed. The partitioner program categorize VSD and ISD on the basis of certain parameters like data payload, technology used, packet header and restrict RSD to be processed by SDN controller. A combiner program is designed that bind both VSD and ISD to fed to the application plane of system. Additionally, a big data analytics for vehicle health, safety and monitoring application is derived. © 2023 ieee.

In the twenty-first century, wireless sensor communication has achieved great attention throughout the world because of its proliferation in micro electro mechanical systems which are an outsized source of the development in smart sensor technology. It is an emerging technique that has remarkable potential in diversified applications like disaster management, healthcare, agriculture, defense, traffic surveillance, and smart home. In order to design versatile specialized wireless sensor communication structures like cognitive approach and underwater communication, different unavoidable issues and challenges are identified day by day in wireless sensor networks from different perspectives. Extension of the network lifetime, energy consumption, hardware and software cost, system-level architecture, programmability, and limited bandwidth are the vital challenges that are being faced in this field. On the other hand, network coverage area, security threat, reliability, quality of service, and robustness should be taken as the most fundamental issues in wireless sensor communication. In this paper, the specific issues and challenges of wireless sensor communication are highlighted as well as are proposed precise guidelines to handle those issues and challenges. Additionally, we will provide a comparative analysis that will clearly differentiate between the existing work and our research in this field. © 2022 ieee.

Patient monitoring has taken on a new dimension as a result of the Internet of Things' (IoT) incorporation into the healthcare system. IoT-enabled medical equipment have numerous sensors that can collect a variety of patient data. The gateway sensor amalgamates this data before transmitting it to cloud storage. The information is then processed on the cloud and sent to the doctor's interface. IoT usage in healthcare is widespread, but security is still a major obstacle. Patient safety is put at risk due to the possibility of data alteration, fraudulent information insertion, and unauthorised access. Security is emphasized as a primary design objective in this project focused on IoT-based healthcare systems, recognizing the seriousness of associated risks. Our method revolves around a suggested digitally signed trust analysis security mechanism to strengthen end-to-end security and guard against harmful behaviours. The article presents a strong system that is intended to fend off hostile attacks and protect private information from outside dangers. Thorough simulations confirm that the suggested framework is successful in improving the security of Internet-of-things-based healthcare systems. © 2024 ieee.

a distributed fault recovery method for large-scale power grid with multiple power sources and multiple connections is proposed. This method fully considers the characteristics of 5G communication, the recovery process is simple, the number of information transmission is less, and the power supply of important load nodes can be restored first. For the proposed scheme, numerical examples are analyzed in different complex power grid scenarios, the urban power grid system simulation model is built to verify the feasibility of the recovery strategy, and the expected results are analyzed. According to the proposed distributed fault recovery method based on 5G communication, combined with the specific urban power grid system, the modular software design of the distributed fault recovery scheme is carried out. © 2022 ieee.

IoT and cloud technology are vital for large systems. An improved data storage technique for IoT applications and cloud distribution is described in this research. Scalability, reliability, latency, and resource usage are internal and external to the algorithm. The approach above scales well with work portion or dataset size. The first experiment shows the algorithm scaling perfectly even as IoT devices generate additional data. Experiment 2 proves linear scalability works for 100,000 IoT devices, while Experiment 3 efficiently organizes 1 million data points. It proved the algorithm by tolerating manufactured faults. To ensure data service availability, Experiment 1 tests the system's operational dependability on node failures and network disturbances. With 0.1% downtime even under challenging conditions, experiment 2 showed the algorithm's incredible robustness in real-world applications. To improve data organization, this experiment exhibits data consistency when nodes fail. Lower and constant time improves operation safety and reliability. Algorithm 1 shows how the algorithm can quickly answer data queries and keep up with the massive amount of data transfers, supporting low-latency IoT applications.
