This paper describes the architecture, sample applications, and performance of a distributed Services Card that can support a large range of services in cloud, service provider, and enterprise data centers, as well as service provider and enterprise network edge. Being deployed in hosts, this fully programmable card can leverage the same scale-out model that has become popular for computing. Given that devices at the network edge deal only with packets that are sent to and from a single host, more time can be spent processing each packet to offer rich services programmed in P4. © 2020 ieee.

Wireless Rechargeable sensor Network(WRSN) is a system that uses wireless charging devices to supply energy to sensors in Wireless sensor Network(WSN). Using mobile wireless charging equipment, the charging efficiency of WSN will be improved. However, how to properly allocate mobile charging devices and plan routes for them has become a problem. In order to reduce the number of dead nodes in WSN, in this paper, we propose a collaborative charging algorithm based on k-mean++ clustering(KCCA). The algorithm uses k-mean++ to cluster WRSN, and uses a large charging vehicle with unlimited energy and multiple small charging vehicles with limited energy to charge the nodes and collect data in each cluster. The shortest charging time is modeled as a linear programming problem, and the charging path in the cluster is obtained by finding the optimal solution. The simulation results show that, compared with other proposed algorithms, KCCA can better reduce the number of dead nodes and the moving distance of wireless charging car.

Heart failure is one of the leading causes of mortality in both developing and developed nations, with strokes and other brain illnesses coming in second and third. In terms of patient numbers, hospitalization rates, and expenses, it is one of the most pressing healthcare concerns. This study investigates the research trend for e-health applications and systems in the field of telemonitoring of heart failure since 2010, by conducting systematic literature review (SLR) on publications made available in several scientific databases, such as ACM Digital Library, ieee Xplore, Science Direct, Google Scholar, and PubMed. The articles that portray most interest concerning evaluation of success and failure, treatment, prevention, self-empowerment, and patient satisfaction, were picked. Since 2010, almost 100 publications on telemonitoring of heart failure have been discovered, with the most relevant ones being chosen based on scientific value. Many of them demonstrate that telemonitoring of patients at high risk of heart failure is an effective way to lower the chance of developing the heart failure condition. Following the review, it can be concluded that telemonitoring systems can assist in lowering the expenses of treating heart failure, resulting in fewer re-hospitalization of patients. In addition to that, rural and distant residents are typically happy with telehealth as a way of service delivery since it may enhance access to health care while avoiding the difficulty of travel.

Parkinson's disease is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder correlating with dysfunction or deprivation of brains dopaminergic neurons, lack of dopamine, and the formation of abnormal protein particles. There are several clinical tests for detection of Parkinson's disease, but nowadays a demand is rising for an objective assessment of symptoms and health-related outcomes. The rapid development of sensor-based technological devices permits conducting measurements without bias that they are able to be used in scientific research and clinical practice. This paper provides a technical overview of the available commercial wearable systems for monitoring and supporting Parkinson's disease management, taking into account their validity and reliability. The understanding of the current state-of-the-art could help patients and clinicians significantly improve Parkinson's disease management by minimizing health care costs and increasing patient's quality of life. © 2021 Bharati Vidyapeeth, New Delhi. The mechanical rotary blood pumps (RBP) have been designed to provide sufficient physiological perfusion and prevent ventricular collapse caused by suction events for the congestive heart failure (HF) patients. Various control systems could be one of the most crucial objectives for developing RBPs. Some control algorithms need implantable sensors, but they are unreliable due to sensor error, pump thrombus, or short lifespan, etc. Other sensorless control algorithms can eliminate any unreliable sensor but to date those strategies have not been successfully incorporated into the RBPs in clinical. To overcome the above limitations, in this study a new physiological control strategy for RBPs has been proposed. This method depends on a recently developed implantable wireless sensor called CardioMEMS, which can provide hemodynamic information for pulmonary artery pressure (PAP). In this algorithm, a gain-scheduled proportional-integral controller is used to maintain the actual mean PAP measurements close to a user-defined threshold to provide sufficient physiologic perfusion. The algorithm is tested in-silico with (1) reference mean PAP (MPAP) of 17 mmHg and the threshold of MPAP as 15 and 19 mmHg due to +/- 2 mmHg sensor drift during rest and exercise conditions with normal and increased pulmonary vascular resistance (PVR);(2) physiological state quickly changes between rest and exercise with normal PVR for (1);and (3) actual MPAP measurements with 5% and 10% uniformly distributed noise for (1) and (2). Simulation results demonstrated that with the CardioMEMS sensor the proposed control algorithm can achieve adequate physiologic perfusion with satisfied efficacy and robustness.

Vibration energy harvesting (VEH) technology enables the Internet of Things (IoT) devices and applications to be deployed at any place, where mechanical vibrations or motions are available. Given the intermittent, stochastic, or impulsive features of many ambient vibration sources, the VEH-based IoT systems must have a reliable energy management unit (EMU), carefully dealing with energy fluctuation and uncertainty. The cyber part of these systems should also schedule tasks by taking a substantial consideration of the source features. Emerging energy-aware state checkpointing technique enables fault-tolerant computations and lets the program survive longer under energy fluctuation or shortage. This paper focuses on the power solutions of energy-aware VEH-based IoT systems. Three possible power solutions are discussed in detail. The most fundamental one is based on an off-the-shelf dc-dc converter with fixed-threshold under-voltage lockout (UVLO). The second one adds an energy-level indicator as a passive interrupt for better realizing the energy-aware computing tasks. The third one uses the on-chip analog-to-digital converter (ADC) to carry out active polling for estimating the energy level in the storage capacitor. Both the second and third designs can reinforce the energy-awareness of the VEH based IoT systems towards a more robust operation. The system performances using these power conditionings under intermittent vibration excitation are experimentally studied based on a vibration-powered IoT platform. The energy overheads of the fundamental regulator module and additional interrupt or polling types of energy storage monitoring are also quantified. Useful comments are drawn based on this comparative study. They help VEH system designers to better select a suitable solution for realizing the specific IoT design targets.

At present, large amount distributed energy storages (DESs) connected to the distribution network lack of effective scheduling methods. An centralized control strategy of DESs with random access and output can be utilized to realize the aggregation control of large amount DESs, which can improve the stability, efficiency and economy of the distribution network. Due to the application of DESs have not yet been configured in large amounts, the research on the aggregation of DES is few. Based on the aggregation mechanism of DES, this paper proposes an aggregation control algorithm of DESs. The simulation explains the specific method of the proposed aggregation control strategy. © 2020 ieee.

In order to improve the efficiency of emergency management and decision-making and command of infectious diseases, infectious disease early warning technologies and systems can be used to monitor the trend of abnormal outbreaks and provide timely and accurate warnings. However, the current infectious disease early warning system still has problems such as insufficient intelligence, poor circulation of key information, and difficulty in distributed collaborative decision-making. Based on the blockchain distributed computing architecture, combined with emerging information technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, and smart contracts, an infectious disease monitoring and early warning technology and its implementation framework are proposed. The technology can efficiently concentrate multi-party monitoring forces, flexibly integrate multiple early warning methods, build a knowledge integration and smart interconnected distributed collaborative monitoring environment under the premise of security and privacy protection, and use smart contracts as open, fair, software-defined monitoring The agent integrates decision-making, monitoring infectious diseases and automatic early warning in real time, so as to take into account the requirements of early warning accuracy and timeliness, and avoid isolated evidence and decision bias.

Wireless sensor network (WSN) is one of the key enablers for Internet of Things (IoT) applications such as smart homes, intelligent manufacturing, agriculture, healthcare monitoring among others. Small sensors are deployed in a specific environment to sense and acquire the vital data and transmit to Base Station (BS). Due to resource constraints of the sensors and the need for long lifetime, energy consumption is a challenging issue that directly affects the network lifetime and performance of the IoT applications. In this paper, we present a novel intelligent clustering technique utilizing a computational intelligence technique, namely fuzzy logic, to efficiently improve the network lifetime and performance. In particular, we propose a load balance clustering algorithm (LBCA) that performs load balancing on the selection of cluster head (CH) among all sensors, based on a priority queue, using a fuzzy inference system, to minimize and distribute the energy consumption. In addition, we propose a scheduling algorithm based on TDMA for reducing unnecessary intra- cluster communication that leads to a prolonged lifetime and enhanced performance. Simulations are conducted to evaluate the performance of the proposed fuzzy logic based clustering technique, taking into account the network lifetime in terms of First Node Dead, Half Nodes Dead and End Node Dead, and the network performance in terms of packets sent to BS. Based on the simulation results, the proposed clustering technique has shown significant benefits compared to other conventional solutions, revealing the proficient network lifetime and performance provided by the proposed fuzzy logic based clustering technique.

Wireless sensor Networks (WSN) composed of micro-distributed sensors with sensory, computing and communication capabilities have attracted more and more attention due to their potential wide application. It is one of the most important applications to use WSN to locate the target. The positioning of the target is of great significance, which plays an important role in detecting the invasion of enemy targets, the movement direction of various objects, and the location of the event, providing a strong guarantee for the subsequent targeted processing. In this paper, an algorithm mixed IMM-KF and UKF with parameter correction is proposed, which is named as MKF-PC. In a LOS/NLOS mixed environment, a relatively good result can be achieved. After judging LOS and NLOS, KF and UKF are respectively used for filtering calculation. Finally, the error caused by initial assignment of noise parameters is alleviated by modifying noise parameters after filtering. According to MATLAB simulation results, the accuracy of MKF-PC is superior to classical KF, EKF, PF, UKF methods. © 2020 ieee.
