Wi-Fi Sensor Networks (WSNs) have emerged as a transformative era for several applications, from environmental monitoring to protection systems, due to improvements in wi-fi verbal exchange and sensor technologies. The deployment of Mobile Wireless Sensor Networks (MWSNs) introduces the task of maximizing community lifetime at the equal time as making sure green facts series and processing. This test proposes a novel technique to extend the lifetime of MWSNs by using way of leveraging Evolutionary computing (EC) techniques. Through a comparative assessment of five EC algorithms-Genetic Algorithms (GA), Differential Evolution (DE), Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), Artificial Bee Colony (ABC), and Neighborhood Field Optimization (NFO)-the research highlights the strengths and limitations of every method in optimizing the energy performance of MWSNs. The results show the functionality of EC strategies in enhancing the sustainability and operational basic overall performance of WSNs, presenting treasured insights for destiny studies and realistic programs in the subject. © 2024 ieee.

Digital twin-based modern smart city infrastructures are evolving into intelligent and distributed systems of autonomous entities operating in a dynamic cyber-physical environment to offer real-time and critical services. These services are typically implemented as software applications in various application domains, e.g., healthcare, cooperative robotic systems, and autonomous vehicles. However, to assure continued safe operations of the critical services with strict real-time requirements even when the service is under attack is an extremely challenging task mainly because the underlying operating environment for such applications is highly volatile yet distributed. To this end, first, we classify (as we call it) timed resilience requirements into computational and communication resilience and then discuss key challenges that hinder the modeling of such requirements to help develop rigorous distributed applications for real-time resilient autonomous systems. Finally, we demonstrate our vision to handle these challenges by introducing by-design and by-response approaches that consider security as a prerequisite of the safety and resilience of autonomous systems. © 2022 ieee.

Natural language processing (NLP) applications face challenges in understanding and processing region or industry specific language. In real-world scenarios, conversational language used in blogs and social media platforms often contains slang and non-standard words (SNSW). These unconventional terms are not typically present in curated datasets used to train NLP models. As a consequence, the performance of these models is negatively affected when they encounter such real-world linguistic variations. In this paper, we introduce SNSW-DB, an automatically curated, regularly updated, large-scale lexical database from crowdsourced dictionaries. The database contains SNSW terms, example sentences, and their standard English synonyms generated by our synonym generator module. We also propose a transformer-based translation system that converts articles with SNSW to standard English. Translated documents enhance readability and utility for human readers, and can improve the performance of downstream NLP tasks. © 2023 ieee.

The advent of 3D LiDAR technology has revolutionized object detection in applications such as autonomous driving, robotics, and advanced driver assistance systems. However, existing methods often require substantial computational resources, limiting their practicality for real-time applications on devices with constrained hardware capabilities. This paper presents an efficient and lightweight 3D LiDAR object detection framework, 3D-PSH, that combines adaptive clustering with 3D Point Spatial Histograms (3D-PSH) and classical classification techniques to address these challenges. Our framework begins with an adaptive clustering algorithm that segments the point cloud data into distinct clusters, representing potential objects. 3D Point Spatial Histograms (3D-PSH) are then computed from these clusters and subsequently quantized into a Bag of Visual Words (BoVW) to create a compact and informative representation. These representations are then classified using robust classical classification methods to identify object types, such as pedestrians and vehicles. This multi-step approach ensures a balance between computational efficiency and detection accuracy, making it suitable for real-time deployment. Extensive experiments on the KITTI dataset and our live sensor data demonstrate the effectiveness and efficiency of our proposed framework. The results indicate that our method achieves competitive accuracy while significantly reducing computational requirements compared to traditional approaches. This framework offers a practical solution for deploying 3D object detection in a wide range of applications, particularly where computational resources are limited. © 2024 ieee.

In recent years, the demand for smart communications, wireless internet and IoT is rapidly increasing as technology spearheading rapid advances in different areas of communication and in day-to-day life. By automating chores, whether at work or at home, businesses and people can now gain and save more of this valuable resource. To fulfil this prerequisite, the cellular parts should be conservative and equipped for multifunction, multi-frequency band activity. An antenna is one of them. IoT end-devices typically use cable, whip, rubber duck, paddle, chips, and PCB as their antennas. For uses where the antenna must be routed along the device's body, there are variations with dual/multi-band antennas and flexible antenna structures. We can reduce the size of devices by proper design of antenna and it can also comfortable to operate multiple frequencies. From this project we can know the working of multi band rate filter by using H-slot coupled antenna with gap sleeves. The proposed design approach consists of low profile and small dimension. © 2023 ieee.

Medical rehabilitation robots have shown strong potential for rehabilitation assessment and monitoring of the elderly. Accurate estimation of human posture based on video analysis can help the clinical application of medical rehabilitation robots. However, the current human pose estimation still needs to improve its accuracy;it is missing 3D posture information and has an unclear occlusion effect on accuracy. This paper proposes a markerless human pose measurement method based on a monocular RGB camera to find the knee joint angle using a 2D and 3D pose estimator. Eleven young people were recruited to participate in the experiments to study the effects of different camera positions on the joint angle extraction results. The results showed a camera angle of 45° was more effective in measuring sitting posture, with a standard deviation of 5.97 for the left leg. A camera angle of 90° was more effective in measuring gait, with a standard deviation of 9.34 for the left leg. In summary, the proposed method can fully use 3D posture information and consider the influence of camera angle on accuracy to improve posture estimation accuracy. The execution of this study is beneficial to promote medical rehabilitation robots to clinical applications. © 2023 ieee.

Efficient cloud resource management is vital, as it ensures the accurate selection and allocation of resources to diverse workloads or applications. This entails real-time balancing of workload performance, compliance, and cost to achieve optimization. Since there are many cloud users involved in scheduling tasks, or cloudlets, the scheduling process becomes complex. It involves selecting appropriate data centers, servers (hosts), and virtual machines (VMs). There are several bioinspired algorithms that are effective and popular for solving the NP-complete problem of cloudlet scheduling. By using these algorithms, cloudlets can be efficiently allocated to achieve faster execution times, better resource utilization, and a shorter waiting time. This study presents a hybrid technique that combines the strengths of both ant colony optimization and locust-inspired algorithm (HACO-LA), which have been shown to outperform other bio-inspired algorithms in cloud computing environments. Implementing this technique will lead to a decrease in the average response time, while also increasing the utilization of VMs and servers. The method was evaluated using the Cloud Sim toolbox with authentic data. It was compared to the preexisting Artificial Bee Colony Optimization (ABC) algorithm and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm. The findings demonstrated that HACO-LA surpassed both methods, leading to notable enhancements in server utilization, increased reliability, and decreased average response time. © 2024 ieee.

Cutting-edge this situation, data retrieval assistance is required for accurate and quick disease identification. With the aid of IT division buzzword know-hows like Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Non-natural Acumen, modern IT sectors are working tirelessly to combat this sickness. If appropriately applied, these technologies will continue to be the backbone of healthcare as they have been in recent years. In order to determine if an organism is infected with a parasite or not, this study applies the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) algorithm to a minuscule carbon copy of the contaminated blood cells. 15 out of 16 random photos can be accurately predicted by our suggested model, which achieved an accuracy of 95.23 percent. © 2023 ieee.

The systems for blood banking and donation are evolving daily in the real world. Although during a moment of urgency, the blood cannot be reached at the proper time due to the blood donor's location being out of reach or the unavailability of stocks of specific blood groups. The proposed solution is to develop GPS and web based blood donors and blood bank tracking applications. In the Android mobile application, the GPS information provided by the user's location and the query input is used by this program to determine the position in the beginning. All of the services are gathered and kept in a cloud database. Additionally, the website, which serves as a blood donors and blood bank management system, that provides functionality for easy access to the data on blood donors and recipients, which are gathered around the location and used for tracking performance and blood donation processes. A minimum three-month gap must be kept between blood donations, and if the location of any user changes - for instance if the donor or recipient moves - the location of the new place can be updated. In addition to that, it also enables the communication between the Blood bank centers, Blood Transfusion Units, Blood Donation Camps, and the recipients. © 2023 ieee.
