Automated detection of road hazards such as speed bumps, has become an important area of research due to its potential to improve road safety in autonomous driving. Various techniques have been introduced to detect these hazards using camera vision and artificial intelligence-based image processing methods. However, estimating their distance is still challenging. To address this problem and to satisfy the requirement for real-time on-board data processing, the proposed system has the following properties: (1) high-accuracy road hazard detection by analyzing mono-images and videos with a re-trained YOLO neural network; (2) precise distance measurement utilizing a LiDAR; and (3) efficient local data processing using ROS, implemented on an NVIDIA Jetson AGX Xavier. An important contribution of this paper is introducing multiple classes of road hazards when training the network, instead of only focusing on speed bumps and potholes. Furthermore we have analyzed different LiDAR technologies (standard rotating and non-repetitive circular scanning) to evaluate and compare their precision and to demonstrate that our method can be successfully applied regardless of the scanning pattern of the LiDAR.

In India the demand of EVs are continuously increasing as a necessity for the future, to efficiently implement this system we require proper charging infrastructure. To reduce the charging time of existing charging system we can use battery swapping system. This paper presents the development of a smart battery swapping system which is designed for two 3.7V 4Ah batteries. The system continuously monitors the SOC, battery temperature, and potential fire hazards. Using a DHT11 sensor for temperature tracking and flame detection, the system incorporates visual and audible alarms and relay control for safety. Additionally, the system sends SMS via SIM800L if any charging slot is empty, ensuring real-time management and efficient use.

Univariate time series is utilized in numerous scientific applications for a variety of purposes. They serve as the foundation for different statistical measurements and show how data evolves over time when viewed independently as real-time data series. Furthermore, binary data sets are frequently utilized in various fields, including health sciences, where each observation results in either a positive or negative outcome. The primary uses of time series analysis include: (a) Predicting future trends; (b) Determining characteristics like average, range, and standard deviation to comprehend the data's behavior; (c) Examining variations in means and variances among multiple time series using statistical methods like t-tests, F-tests, and Anova; and (d) Contrasting multiple time series to identify point-to-point discrepancies using different measures like root mean square error. This article suggests a straightforward yet successful method for comparing data from various time series that are not synchronized, have gaps in data, and require determining the error of the best match to ensure it falls within an acceptable range. We utilize this method for a challenging railway engineering issue to verify the consistency of laser and inertial sensor measurements within a specified error range.

Developing a resilient intrusion detection system (IDS) is essential to strengthen network security against advanced cyber threats. This project leverages machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) techniques to create an IDS that surpasses traditional signature-based methods by detecting and mitigating attacks in real time. By analyzing abnormal patterns and recognizing attack signatures in network traffic, this system ensures a proactive defense mechanism. Utilizing the KDD 1999 dataset, a comprehensive benchmark for network intrusion detection, the IDS incorporates models such as Support Vector Machines (SVM) and XGBoost (XGB) for high-precision classification and regression tasks. Data preprocessing techniques like Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and RobustScaler enhance scaling, while classifiers such as Decision Trees (DT), Random Forest(RF) and K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) improve detection accuracy. Model performance is evaluated on metrics such as accuracy, precision and recall scores to ensure reliable detection of diverse intrusion types. By integrating ML and DL, this project demonstrates the power of scalable, real-time detection methods capable of identifying novel attack patterns, marking a significant advancement over static, traditional detection systems.

The Temperature monitoring procedure relies on an Arduino Uno Microcontroller to perform accurate real-time temperature monitoring operations. It is paired with a temperature sensor which operates as a low-cost solution for different environments. The device shows real-time temperature data on an OLED screen that delivers easily read able critical temperature readings through high-contrast display while consuming minimal power. This paper proposes a system which allows users to set custom temperature threshold levels that automatically activate warning alerts when measurements reach those preselected values to boost security applications. A Bluetooth module was integrated into the system to enable smartphone-based data transmission which allows users to monitor temperatures from their mobile phones through an application. This paper demonstrates how Arduino-based systems handle real-time temperature monitoring by providing dependable affordable solutions for temperature monitoring control and remote function control.

This paper introduces a novel haptic wearable Braille guide designed to enhance the educational experience for visually impaired students by enabling them to trace and understand geometric shapes. Traditional methods like tactile graphics and physical models are often limited in providing dynamic, real-time feedback, which is essential for grasping complex spatial concepts. To address these limitations, the pro-posed device integrates a 15 × 15 grid touch screen made from Velostat pressure sensors and copper strips, a wearable glove equipped with five coin vibration motors, and a cloud-based synchronization system. This system allows students to receive real-time, directional haptic feedback, guiding them as they trace shapes, thereby improving their spatial understanding and cognitive mapping skills. The device is designed to be economical, portable, and easy to use, making it accessible for classroom and remote learning environments. By offering a more interactive and adaptable solution, this device advances the current state of assistive technology for visually impaired learners. It provides a scalable and effective tool for enhancing geometric education. The paper details this innovative educational aid's design, functionality, and potential applications.

This research aims to develop a deep learning system for assessing food edibility based on user-uploaded photos, addressing the global challenge of food waste. In recent years, the integration of GPS and 4G technology for asset monitoring has gained significant traction, playing a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency and productivity within today's dynamic business landscape. Effective asset tracking and monitoring have become paramount for businesses seeking to optimize their operations. This paper unveils a comprehensive system utilizing a blend of GPS and 4G technologies to deliver real-time tracking and monitoring of movable assets. Digital twins enable real-time modeling, simulation, and monitoring of complex systems, driving advancements in automation, robotics, and industrial applications. This study presents a large-scale digital twin-testing facility for evaluating mobile robots and pilot robotic systems in a research laboratory environment. The platform integrates high-fidelity physical and environmental models, providing a controlled yet dynamic setting for analyzing robotic behavior. A key feature of the system is its comprehensive data collection framework, capturing critical parameters such as position, orientation, and velocity, which can be leveraged for machine learning, performance optimization, and decision-making. The facility also supports the simulation of discrete operational systems, using predictive modeling to bridge informational gaps when real-time data updates are unavailable. The digital twin was validated through a matrix manufacturing system simulation, with an Augmented reality (AR) interface on the HoloLens 2 to overlay digital information onto mobile platform controllers, enhancing situational awareness. The main contributions include a digital twin framework for deploying data-driven robotic systems and three key AR/VR integration optimization methods. Demonstrated in a laboratory setting, the system is a versatile tool for research and industrial applications, fostering insights into robotic automation and digital twin scalability while reducing costs and risks associated with real-world testing.
