This research demonstrates a novel method for managing low-cost industrial processes using the real-time Lab-VIEW platform. The data flow language G is the foundation of the graphical programming environment LabVIEW. This strategy benefits us since the setting encourages a fairly consistent evolution from concept to implementation, enabling effective co-simulation techniques. The idea of real-time system advancement employing LabVIEW's data creation and collection techniques is examined in this paper. The system has the ability to recognize an object and regulate its movement in the industry. The hardware is tightly integrated via a data acquisition (DAQ) device. One of the most popular tools for capturing, viewing, and processing control systems is the hardware and software module for intelligence gathering called LabVIEW from National Instruments. By unifying all of the technologies and abstracting low-level complexity, the suggested approach boosts productivity. Furthermore, LabVIEW's graphical programming language makes it simple to integrate many other types of sensors, and by doing so, we can quickly access and manipulate the sensor signals. © 2023 ieee.

This paper makes two contributions to the verification of communication protocols by transition systems. Firstly, the paper presents a modeling of a cyclic communication protocol using a synchronized network of transition systems. This protocol enables seamless cryptographic rekeying embedded into cyclic messages. Secondly, we test the protocol using the model checking verification technique.

Applications like smart cities, driverless vehicles, healthcare, and industrial automation are made possible by the revolutionary grouping of the IoT and MEC. Problems with data management, especially with lowering latency for real-time applications, plague these systems. System efficiency, operational dependability, and user experience can all take a hit when data transmission delays occur. Copying and distributing data over numerous servers or edge nodes enables faster access to information, and novel data replication techniques are being developed to meet this. Because of resource limitations, unpredictable user requests, and changing network circumstances, traditional data replication approaches struggle in the distributed and dynamic settings of MEC and the Internet of Things (IoT). intelligent data placement algorithms, network-aware replication, and demand-based dynamic replication are examples of advanced approaches. By decreasing latency and avoiding the need for repeated calls to the central cloud, these strategies guarantee that data is always available at the proper location and time. Particularly for latency-sensitive applications like augmented reality, autonomous vehicles, and telemedicine, this paper assesses these methods using simulations and case studies from real-world MEC and IoT deployments, showing that they can considerably decrease latency, improve system responsiveness, and increase data availability. Results show that MEC and IoT data management may be enhanced in terms of performance, scalability, and user happiness, which advances the state of the art. © 2024 ieee.

data quality plays an essential role in decision-making, as the latter may incorporate some risks in different application areas. In the context of industry 4.0, the amount, the versatility, and the speed of information flow for decision-making are important issues. The quality and, in particular, the dependability of data is paramount. This paper investigates the leading data quality characteristics in the industry 4.0 environment with the related issues due to various interactions. It proposes a taxonomy of data sources and flows, from acquisition to the information extraction level for decision-making. The authors highlight the specific issues of error and uncertainty propagation management as significant research challenges for designing intelligent data collection and acquisition systems for industrial manufacturing decision support within the framework of the new generation of industry development. They review data quality characteristics definition and assessment requirements, and suggest classifying time characteristics into four categories. data quality assessment methods and models with relation to decision-making are also examined. They willfully left aside the investigation of data quality improvement processes for a future more detailed paper.

With the convergence of information technologies such as the Industrial Internet of Things (IoT) and cloud computing with industrial control systems (ICS), the security of industrial data is at great risk. To ensure the confidentiality and integrity of industrial data, this paper designs a hybrid encryption, access control and blockchain-assisted logging communication scheme using advanced Encryption Standard (AES) and Ciphertext-Policy Attribute-Based Encryption (CP-ABE) algorithms. The algorithm is validated by simulation experiments and has the advantage of low decryption overhead. © 2022 ieee.

Intelligence control leverages the power of artificial intelligence (AI). Traditional simulation techniques limited by their dependence on accurate and complete data. To address the issues of a lack of such data in practice, this paper proposes an intelligent system engineering approach to modelling and control. In particular, we introduce the use of a set of local transfer functions to brace a nonlinear system for well-fitted models. Additionally, a networked PID controller is designed using the variable parameter transfer function obtained to adapt to changing operating conditions. Simulations in Simulink are conducted for an AI-based air conditioning control system to meet the required precision. The AI-based approach is seen to be able to model air conditioning temperature control systems accurately, and offers potential to improve control accuracy in real-world applications. © 2023 ieee.

The growing need for geospatial data analysis highlight's location privacy issues. Although existing technologies such as differential privacy and location obfuscation can be relatively large, inaccurate, and difficult to handle in many applications like urban planning and disaster management, its privacy protection benefits make up for the defect. but in the research, a new privacy-preserving framework based on adaptive differential privacy model, k-anonymity and spatial cloaking is introduced. Based on geographic sensitivity, the system dynamically distributes privacy resources, thus ensuring accuracy in critical regions by choosing quality points from the data. It works to strike a balance between user privacy and system functionality by using genetic algorithm optimization and geographic analysis approaches like DBSCAN. As can be seen from the above comparisons with other systems, the experimental results show that it achieves higher levels of privacy protection than traditional methods with a lower differential privacy parameter (ϵ = 0.5) and larger k-anonymity k-values (k = 10). Also, the cluster quality improved phenomenally (silhouette coefficient = 0.75) and mean absolute error dropped significantly, both of which help with data utility improvement. The architecture offers a scalable, effective solution that ensures both high privacy protection and accurate representation of essential data. © 2024 ieee.

In contemporary urban environments, efficient traffic management stands as a paramount challenge, necessitating innovative solutions to mitigate congestion, enhance safety, and reduce environmental impact. This paper proposes a Smart Internet of Things (IoT)-assisted Traffic Light Controlling and Monitoring System designed to revolutionize traffic management through real-time data acquisition, analysis, and dynamic control mechanisms. The system integrates edge devices equipped with a variety of sensors, cloud-based infrastructure, and intelligent algorithms to optimize traffic flow at intersections. Leveraging technologies such as AWS IoT, Lambda, and QuickSight, alongside communication protocols like MQTT and HTTP, the system enables seamless device management, secure data transmission, and scalable real-time analytics. Hardware components including microcontrollers, sensors, and actuators facilitate precise data collection, allowing for accurate traffic monitoring and adaptive signal control. Through comprehensive traffic flow analysis, congestion reduction strategies, environmental impact assessments, safety enhancements, and system performance optimizations, the proposed system aims to revolutionize urban traffic management, leading to smoother traffic flow, reduced congestion, improved safety, and enhanced environmental sustainability. © 2024 ieee.

One of the best sources of information for biologists and ethologists to study wildlife behavior is video footage;in particular, aerial video footage provides a unique perspective on the behavior of animals in their natural habitat. Numerous wildlife behavioral studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of UAVs for collecting video data of group-living animals. However, in contrast with well-established techniques for static video acquisition, the deployment of UAVs for wildlife video acquisition requires human operators to manually control and coordinate the drones while minimizing disturbance to animals. To scale UAVs missions to obtain sufficient spatiotemporal resolution, reliance on manual operations is impractical. In this paper, we present a decentralized multi-drone coordination system for wildlife video acquisition using UAVs that leverages a novel k-coverage algorithm specifically designed to cover herds. In particular, it is based on a hierarchical clustering approach to find the herds, centroids, then it coordinates multiple drones in a decentralized fashion to cover them from multiple points of view. We introduce a set of metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed approach via simulation, finding that the proposed approach improves noticeably over the present state of the art. © 2024 ieee.
