In the rising landscape of 5G technology, the surge in device proliferation and population growth heralds a massive increase in expected users. To harness the full potential of this expansion, we propose a novel approach integrating Terahertz (THz) technology with Massive MIMO (Multiple-input and Multiple-output) systems, bolstered by Holographic Reconfigurable intelligent Surfaces (RIS). This innovation aims to amplify data rates while mitigating the high-power consumption inherent in conventional methods. Our methodology prioritizes adaptability, addressing the dynamic nature of user mobility and channel variability by leveraging reconfigurable channels facilitated by RIS. By harnessing shorter wavelengths enabled by THz frequencies, we not only enhance data transmission efficiency but also circumvent the need for longer wavelengths, thereby reducing power consumption. To optimize system performance further, we employ a sum rate maximization holographic beamforming algorithm, tailored to minimize power consumption while maximizing throughput. Additionally, we tackle the challenge of high interference by meticulously designing beamforming vectors. Our approach unfolds in two stages: first, the design of a Terahertz Massive MIMO system, and second, the prediction of RIS channels utilizing the Approximate Message Passing (AMP) technique. © 2024 ieee.

The primary concern of the 5G radio network has sparked interest in the development of new waveforms beyond 4G (5th generation networks). Filter Bank Multicarrier (FBMC) waveforms have recently been suggested as the desired one for 5G networks. It has both advantages and disadvantages. One of the biggest drawback of the FBMC broadcast signal is its high Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR). It has been widely used in wireless communication to achieve high speed and data rates. A high PAPR system results in substantial distortion of the signal because of the nonlinear power amplifier. Therefore, methods that effectively reduce PAPR are necessary for the realization of the FBMC system. The FBMC system uses the some common techniques as the OFDM system. Comparative analysis of various approaches such as PTS, SLM, Companding, etc are performed by considering their simulation outcomes when it comes to effective spectrum utilization, improved PAPR, along with minimum complexity. © 2025 ieee.

With the development of agricultural modernization, the traditional agricultural production model has been gradually subverted, and traditional planting is no longer the main way to increase farmers' income. Under the traditional mode, farmland management and control mainly rely on planting experience, fertilization technology, production mode, etc., which cannot adapt to the modern environment, improve production efficiency, and promote farmers' income. Based on the application of mobile and intelligent platforms, real-time information collection, storage and analysis can be realized. In order to reduce the use of chemical fertilizer and other substances in agricultural production and improve the level of agricultural environmental management and sustainable development capability, this paper designed a GIS based mobile data collection system for agricultural green development. Based on modern information technologies such as Internet of Things and cloud computing, the system converts relevant data into geographic information maps and remote sensing images, and combines Sql database to achieve data intelligent analysis capability, which can query and analyze the collected data in real time and efficiently. © 2023 ieee.

The integration of Natural Language Processing (NLP) into smart traffic systems offers a novel approach to enhancing real-time traffic management and optimization. This paper explores how NLP can be leveraged to interpret and analyze vast amounts of unstructured traffic-related data, such as social media updates, traffic reports, and incident logs. A key component of this approach is the use of a BERT (Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers) classifier, which enables more accurate extraction and classification of relevant traffic information from textual data. By processing this data in real time, the BERT-based NLP system can provide more precise traffic predictions, identify congestion patterns, and optimize traffic flow dynamically. The study highlights the potential of NLP, particularly through the use of BERT, in improving the efficiency and responsiveness of traffic management systems, ultimately leading to reduced travel times, lower emissions, and enhanced urban mobility. The app also includes user-friendly interfaces that allow drivers and city planners to access real-time updates, personalized route recommendations, and predictive analytics. The system's adaptability ensures that it can respond quickly to unexpected incidents, such as accidents or road closures, further enhancing urban mobility. The study highlights the transformation potential of this app in improving the efficiency and responsiveness of traffic management systems, ultimately leading to reduced travel times, lower emissions, and a significant improvement in overall urban transportation experiences. © 2025 ieee.

This paper introduces a dataset on Human-cobot collaboration for Action Recognition in Manufacturing Assembly (HARMA(3)). It is a collection of RGB frames, Depth maps, RGB-to-depth-Aligned (RGB-A) frames and Skeleton data relative to actions performed by different subjects in collaboration with a cobot for building an Epicyclic Gear Train (EGT). In particular, 27 subjects executed several trials of the assembly task, which consisted of 7 actions. data were collected in a laboratory scenario using two Microsoft (R) Azure Kinect cameras positioned in frontal and lateral positions. The dataset represents a good foundation for developing and testing advanced action recognition as well as action segmentation systems with far-reaching implications beyond human-cobot collaboration. Further potential applications include Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and Smart Manufacturing. Preliminary experiments for action segmentation by applying a state-of-the-art method on features extracted from RGB and skeletal data are presented in this paper, showing high-performance rates.

An empirical study on three graph-based clustering algorithms has been presented here. We have discussed those three clustering algorithms and made an analysis. The algorithms we have considered here are: Markov Clustering (MCL), Regularized Markov Clustering Algorithm (R-MCL), and Variable Inflation MCL (VI-MCL). We have used two types of graph networks: random network generated using synthetic data and PPI networks generated from 22 candidate genes of Malaria. We have considered the ubiquitous Dunn Index as the cluster validity index (CVI) to validate the generated clusters. Our experiments reveal that VI-MCL produces a lot of singletons set on both synthetic graph and PPI graph of those 22 genes. MCL performs best among the three algorithms we have chosen. The quality of clusters produces by R-MCL is better than that of VI-MCL.

In order to help visually impaired people, this study proposes a machine learning-based system that provides audio feedback, distance calculation, and real-time object detection. The system uses Faster Region-based Convolutional Neural Network (Faster R-CNN), optimized with Compute Unified Device Architecture (CUDA) and CUDA Deep Neural Network library (cuDNN) for GPU-accelerated performance with low latency. Images captured by the rear camera of a smartphone are processed to identify objects and compute their proximity. The system offers audio feedback using the Pyttsx3 text-to-speech engine, alerting users to nearby objects and potential hazards. The system achieved over 99% accuracy in recognizing everyday objects. Parallelized GPU operations ensure efficient real-time object recognition and distance estimation, improving users' safety and mobility. Experimental results demonstrate the system's stability and reliability in assisting visually impaired individuals during navigation. © 2024 ieee.

Gymnastics is a sport that is associated with a high risk of injury. Injury prevention is crucial in gymnastics to ensure the safety and well-being of athletes. Machine learning (ML) models can be used to predict the likelihood of injuries in gymnastics, but the accuracy of these models depends on the quality and quantity of the data used to train them. In this paper, we describe the data collection strategies used to gather injury data for the development of an ML model for predicting injuries in gymnastics. We discuss the strengths and limitations of these strategies and suggest areas for future research. Our findings highlight the importance of collecting comprehensive and standardized injury data to improve injury prediction models and ultimately, injury prevention in gymnastics. © 2023 ieee.

As a novel computing paradigm, vehicular edge computing (VEC) provides additional computing capacity to connected automated vehicles by deploying resources of computing and storage on base stations or roadside units. Vehicles migrate their tasks to VEC servers for execution through computation offloading (CO) to improve processing efficiency. However, the high-speed movement of vehicles causes handover among multiple VEC servers while raising the security issue of data sharing. In this paper, we design a mobility-aware CO and blockchain-based handover architecture to reduce the latency and improve the security of vehicular CO. A CO decision problem with models of mobility, CO, and blockchain-based handover is proposed to optimize the offloading decision of vehicles. Further, we transform this optimization into a Markov decision process (MDP) and construct a multi-agent deep reinforcement learning (MADRL) algorithm to solve it. The effectiveness and performance of the proposed method are verified by simulations.
