Methanol reforming fuel cells (MRFCs) remains a promising innovation towards the establishment of sustainable energy production. This is evident in the fact that MRFC plays a critical role in the offering of low environmental impacts while increasing the element of energy efficiency. Notably, a series of optimal operations significantly hamper the process of thermal management, a factor that is challenged by the intricate systemic interactions and dynamic operational conditions. This therefore establishes that the traditional control models have widely fallen short in significantly addressing such complexities. This article therefore seeks to integrate the prospects of intelligent control and decision support systems in the thermal integration and management of methanol reforming fuel cells. Harnessing systems and advanced algorithms that include fuzzy logic and neural networks plays a critical role in enabling real-time analysis of the systems sensory data, a factor that facilitates the adaptive control and predictive modeling of the process. Further, findings from the article established that the integration of intelligent control and decision support systems promises an enhanced reliability, efficiency, and performance of the MRFC process. © 2024 ieee.

The transition of artificial intelligence (AI) from research to deployment has underscored the critical importance of leveraging data effectively in developing and evaluating AI models. Despite their pivotal role in determining performance, fairness, and robustness, data are often undervalued in AI research, lacking a data-centric focus. In response, the AI-DAPT project pioneers a data-centric approach that aligns with AI methodologies to address the pressing need for reliable and trustworthy AI systems. This paper presents the AI-DAPT project and concept, highlighting its innovative solutions. Through advanced techniques like synthetic data generation and hybrid science-guided Machine Learning (ML), AI-DAPT aims to mitigate vulnerabilities in conventional AI paradigms. The developed solutions will be demonstrated in healthcare, robotics, energy, and manufacturing scenarios, hence navigating real-world complexities.

The article describes the modeling of a solar power plant control system based on colored Petri nets. With the help of hierarchical colored Petri nets, a simulation model of a solar power plant was built. The features of constructing models of individual components of a solar power plant are considered. Various modes of their operation have been investigated. To improve the efficiency of system control, an intelligent controller based on a neural network is used. It is proposed to use a neural network to track the maximum power point for more efficient charge control. The neural network drives controllers that control the process and provide an effective current boost only when the solar panel's output voltage exceeds the battery voltage. With the help of the constructed models, various operating modes of a solar power plant are investigated. The results of increasing the system efficiency are presented.

Stroke survivors frequently face the challenge of regaining hand-grasping functions, which are crucial for performing daily activities. While Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) has demonstrated promise for hand function recovery, the application of online control methods tailored to varied daily grasps remains underexplored. In response, our study presents a refined framework utilizing an inertial measurement unit (IMU) for the real-time recognition of grasp intentions in stroke patients. data on arm trajectories and orientations preceding diverse grasping actions were gathered from three healthy individuals, segmented by acceleration to determine high-accuracy intervals for grasp prediction. The Support Vector Classification (SVC) model emerged as a superior method for intent recognition. By segmenting data based on acceleration, our model's general accuracy improved. Moreover, the time required to achieve a stable accuracy rate exceeding 95% was reduced from 0.8 s to 0.2 s. This research lays the groundwork for future advancements in online gesture recognition systems. The successful implementation of FES based on SVC-model predictions mark a significant step toward intuitive and adaptive rehabilitation therapies for stroke patients.

In the era of cloud computing, secure data storage and retrieval have emerged as critical challenges due to the need to protect sensitive information while maintaining efficient access. This paper presents a robust fuzzy-based multi-keyword similarity search model that operates on encrypted cloud data, enhancing both security and performance. By combining fuzzy logic, homomorphic encryption, and multi-keyword search, this model offers improved accuracy in retrieving relevant documents based on user queries. The model achieves a search accuracy of 85% with two keywords, which increases progressively to 96.5% when 11 keywords are used. Additionally, the system demonstrates low encryption overhead, with encryption time scaling linearly as data size increases. The search time also remains efficient, growing from 50 ms for two keywords to 400 ms for 11 keywords. The model further enhances query efficiency, achieving 96% efficiency after processing 500 queries. The proposed solution addresses the growing need for secure and efficient cloud storage systems while ensuring user privacy. The results indicate the model's scalability, making it suitable for large datasets and high-volume cloud environments. © 2024 ieee.

Modern methods of extracting relevant features from images and texts are crucial to the recovery of fashionable garments. In this research, we compare and contrast a number of different approaches to extracting features from images and text. We utilize Generative Pre-trained Transformer (GPT) and Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers (BERT) to efficiently process and represent textual descriptions of fashion products for text feature extraction. This allows us to take advantage of GPT's generative capabilities and contextual understanding. In order to extract features from photographs of fashion sketch images, we use a mix of Residual Networks (ResNet) and Visual Geometry Group (VGG) networks. This allows us to pick up complex visual patterns and details. Our method is designed to enhance the accuracy of text and image matching by combining the best features of these state-of-the-art models. Accuracy, recall, F1-score, and retrieval efficiency are some of the assessment metrics that were examined on a wide dataset that included different types of fashion clothing. The hybrid model improves feature extraction capabilities, producing robust and discriminative text and picture representations, according to preliminary findings. More intelligent and user-friendly retrieval systems in digital fashion platforms and e-commerce might be possible thanks to the study's useful insights into the possibilities of advanced deep learning architectures in the field of fashion product retrieval. © 2024 ieee.

This paper introduces a system of data collection acceleration and real-to-sim transferring for surface recognition on a quadruped robot. The system features a mechanical single-leg setup capable of stepping on various easily interchangeable surfaces. Additionally, it incorporates a GRU-based Surface Recognition System, inspired by the system detailed in the Dog-Surf paper [1]. This setup facilitates the expansion of dataset collection for model training, enabling data acquisition from hard-to-reach surfaces in laboratory conditions. Furthermore, it opens avenues for transferring surface properties from reality to simulation, thereby allowing the training of optimal gaits for legged robots in simulation environments using a pre-prepared library of digital twins of surfaces. Moreover, enhancements have been made to the GRU-based Surface Recognition System, allowing for the integration of data from both the quadruped robot and the single-leg setup. Direct spread spectrum technology is traditionally used in radio communication systems with multiple access. It ensures high security and reliability of information transfer. In addition, direct sequence spreading of spectrum makes the transmitted signals noise alike. We are researching this technology for other uses. The present paper explores the technique of hiding information in multimedia files, in particular, audio containers. The paper investigates various methods of forming wideband signals (chip codes), and studies the possibility of their usage for hiding information by using direct spread spectrum technology. We conduct experimental studies, in particular, we estimate the bit error rate (BER) of information data, as well as the distortion of the audio container by mean squared error (MSE) and peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR). We show which method of forming chip codes is preferable for reliable and safe information hiding.
