To increase the dependability and portability of scientific data analysis workflows (DAWs), recent work has proposed contract-driven design of DAWs, providing verifiable expectations and obligations to ensure that tasks run in a proper environment and produce correct results. However, the specification of suitable contracts is still left to the discretion of DAW developers, imposing labor-intensive manual work which likely hampers the widespread adoption of contracts in scientific practice. We report about work-in-progress of developing a pipeline empowered by Large Language Models for automatically generating code contracts from logical workflow descriptions. We instantiate this pipeline within the workflow system Nextflow, and evaluate its contract generation capabilities in an experiment using real-world Nextflow modules. Our findings indicate that we generate a substantial amount of contracts serving as starting point for DAW developers. Our approach demonstrates potential in assisting domain scientists with contract-driven design of DAWs, laying the groundwork for its future adoption. © 2024 ieee.

The paper describes the dataflow computing model and the architecture of the parallel dataflow computing system implementing it. This computing model and architecture are one of the approaches to solving the problem of increasing the real performance of computing systems. The paper describes the principles of operation of hardware content-addressable memory, which most effectively implements the principles of the dataflow computing model. One of the important problems with such memory is its high power consumption during matching operations. Methods for reducing the number of matching operations and the number of compared bits (bits involved in the matching process) are proposed. Methods for reducing the number of matching operations aim to reduce 'parasitic' comparisons of bits and keys in the token matching process. The studies conducted on the behavioral block-register model of the system and the emulator of the system confirmed the applicability of these methods to reduce the number of bits compared when executing dataflow programs. © 2024 ieee.

An innovative approach to password cracking by leveraging a distributed computing model is developed. The sys- tem comprises a client-server architecture where clients receive segmented password ranges for parallelized hashing attempts. The Java-based implementation employs MD5 hashing and divides the password into smaller units for distribution among multiple clients. Each client independently processes its assigned password range, attempting to match the hash against a pre- determined target. The server orchestrates the distribution of password segments and collects results from clients, facilitating the cracking process. Security measures include secure communication protocols, and ethical considerations center around legality, user consent, and emphasizing the educational value of responsible hacking practices. The work explores the tech- nical challenges of distributed password cracking, addressing efficiency, scalability, and security implications, while fostering a deeper understanding of cybersecurity and distributed systems.

The World health organization considers a mentally healthy person to be able to manage life’s stresses, work productively, and contribute to their communities. However, mental disorders, affecting 970 million people in 2019, often reduce quality of life, necessitating accurate diagnosis and therapy. Affective disorders, encompassing depressive and manic episodes, vary in severity and pattern, with conditions like bipolar disorder and recurrent mood disorders identified through ICD-10 classifications. Diagnosis, typically made by expert teams, remains challenging due to the complex and variable nature of mental disorders, leading to frequent misdiagnoses that hinder treatment progress and erode patient trust. Artificial intelligence (AI) holds promise in supporting mental health diagnosis by identifying subtle patterns in symptoms and validating expert conclusions. While AI’s specialized nature poses limitations, integrating it into clinical practice can improve diagnostic accuracy and reduce errors. High quality models can assist doctors by ruling out less likely conditions and confirming diagnoses. Optimizing AI models, however, requires effective hyperparameter selection, a complex task classified as NP-hard. Metaheuristic algorithms offer a solution, enabling efficient parameter tuning and improving AI model performance. Given the critical implications of accurate mental health diagnoses, leveraging AI and optimization techniques is essential to enhance outcomes and improve lives. This work proposed a modified metahetusirc aimed at optimizing classification accuracy. When evaluated on a genuine dataset the best performing models attain an accuracy of 0.972222 suggesting feasibility in real world situations. © 2025 ieee.

computing and technology are essential to biomedical data analysis in modern medicine. This work analyses a biomedical dataset from a unique cancer diagnosis strategy using analytics and machine learning. The paper briefly describes the research background, data preprocessing methods, model, results, and conclusions. Feature importance was analysed using random forests, while control and diagnostic group differences were analysed using k-Nearest Neighbor, Random Forest, Support Vector Machine, and Logistic Regression. The study identified the most essential properties that the models use in training to distinguish between the classes in binary classification, which were evaluated by medical specialists. The proposed solution sets a baseline for using these data for diagnostics after machine learning models prove the proposed medical hypothesis and patterns. © 2024 ieee.

Reliability analysis is an important part of investigating a system and its components. In reliability analysis, it is necessary to select an appropriate representation for the system and a description of its operation. One representation is a binary-state system. A structure function can be used in describing the operation of the system. One part of reliability analysis is topological analysis. Several metrics are used in topological analysis;one of them is the system state frequency. For its calculation, it is necessary to choose a suitable representation of the structure function, especially if its computation is done on a computer. The binary decision diagram is one such representation. There are currently two algorithms for computing this metric, but they have certain limitations. Therefore, a new algorithm is presented in this paper that addresses the limitations of these previous algorithms. This new algorithm is also tested with experimental validation. © 2024 ieee.

This study aims to assess the performance of the existing network of location decisions for refuelling stations in Peninsular Malaysia. Firstly, a questionnaire survey examining users' perceptions and awareness of alternative fuel vehicles (AFV) and the experience of AFV users. The locational analysis was applied using p-median to evaluate the existing locations of refuelling stations regarding the population demand and distance from the population area to refuelling stations. Two new locations of refuelling stations were suggested based on the analysis of the results to accommodate the demand of users. © 2024 ieee.

The role of parents in monitoring student academic activities is important. Many students in university fail because of a lack of monitoring and supervision from parents and the university. Most academic information is not channeled efficiently to the parents due to various factors, lack of awareness, the busyness of parents, and limited access to academic information. Therefore, a platform is needed for parents to monitor all Student's academic activities easily and efficiently through University App. This study uses the Design Thinking method with a special function on Notification and context awareness features to increase the User's attention on monitoring students' progress. The usability evaluation was then conducted to evaluate the solution design's effectiveness, efficiency, and satisfaction. The effectiveness rate is 'Success' on all tasks, while the efficiency result is 0.161 goals/second. The satisfaction rate using the System Usability Scale (SUS) has a score of 86 with the level of 'Very Good,' and the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) produces an 'Excellent' benchmark in 6 aspects. The solution design produces an ideal model for parents to monitor Student academic progress using mobile applications. © 2023 ieee.
