Rapid reconfiguration is an important capability of flexible production system supporting personalized customization. When the product requirement change and the existing capacity configuration of the production system cannot meet the new requirement, the production system needs to be reconfigured. Aiming at automating the control logic planning process, this paper propose a new method based on state space and semantic web. Unified modelling concepts and relations between product, equipment and production system are built in an ontological model and different types of semantic queries are defined to process the ontology instance which will be leveraged by the process to construct the state space model. In addition, an linear programming method is used to drive the final control logic inside the generated space model. © 2022 ieee.

A finger pulse signal or Photo plethysmogram (PPG) can provide important cardiovascular information about the human body. But one major problem with PPG signal is that it is prone to motion artifact (MA) due to peripheral body movement. Hence pre-processing is an essential prerequisite before its accurate analysis. In this work, we investigate the effect of MA on the clinical features derived from the PPG signal. A moving window-based new peak detection algorithm is proposed in this work. From the detected peak and foot, the clinical features are calculated. A random forest algorithm is used for feature selection, and the features were ranked based on the effect of MA on the feature. The new peak detection algorithm showed more than 40% improvement from earlier works. The random forest feature ranking showed that pulse area and pulse interval are the two features which are mostly affected by the motion artefact whereas systolic amplitude and half systolic peak heights are the least affected features due to motion artefact. © 2023 ieee.

Digital Holographic Microscopy (DHM) can obtain three-dimensional (3D) information about the fine structure of an object by utilizing the phase information of coherent light. In DHM, during the process of reconstructing the shape of an object, phase information is extracted by windowing the sideband containing the phase information. The 3D information of the object is then obtained from the acquired phase information. When windowing the sideband in a narrow range, it can remove noise caused by the DC spectrum, but detailed shape information of the object is lost. On the other hand, when windowing in a wide range, detailed shape information of the object can be obtained, but noise from the DC spectrum increases. To solve this trade-off relationship, we propose a method of determining the range for windowing the sideband using a function and then averaging the windowed sidebands. This proposed method can reduce the impact of noise from the DC spectrum and enables the acquisition of the detailed shape information. In this paper, we explain the reconstruction algorithm of this method and compare it with conventional methods and the previous study, phase differences averaging (PDA). © 2024 ieee.

Current Global System for Mobile Communications for Railway (GSM-R) is increasingly unable to meet the burgeoning demand for diversified private network communication services, such as multimedia dispatching communication and intelligent operation. Relying on mature 5G technology, 5G for Railways (5G-R) is considered to be a promising solution for realizing intelligent railways. The investigation of channel characteristics is fundamental for the design of 5G-R. However, existing research lacks comprehensive studies on channel characteristics specific to typical scenarios and unique frequency bands of 5G-R. In this paper, we carry out sufficient measurements on a dedicated 5G-R loop railway test line. Based on measurement data, we perform a comprehensive extraction and analysis of typical channel parameters, including path loss, shadow fading, small-scale fading, power delay profile, delay spread, Rice K-factor, angle of arrival estimation, and angle spread. The results will significantly contribute to design, deployment and network optimization of 5G-R. © 2024 ieee.

The indoor imaging visible light positioning (VLP) technology based on the image sensor (IS) utilizes existing indoor lighting infrastructure to provide high-precision indoor positioning services. However, due to the high complexity of traditional image processing algorithms, existing VLP systems are unable to provide real-time positioning services. In response to the above issue, we propose an image processing mechanism based on the inter-frame color feature matching method, which includes the equidistant sampling processing, low complexity decoding algorithm, and color feature matching-based LED region of interest (ROI) determination method. The results show that the system average positioning delay is 80.2ms, indicating better system real-time performance. © 2024 ieee.

This study introduces an advanced framework for recognizing hand gestures from a first-person view, leveraging the integration of multimodal data including optical flow, pose, depth, and RGB video recordings. Adeptly navigating the challenges and opportunities presented by the integration of multimodal data. At its core, the framework employs two pivotal components: a cross-attention based adaptive graph convolutional network and relational graph interactions for modality fusion. The former is designed to extract features from skeleton-based gesture data, ensuring a nuanced capture of hand movements by emphasizing the interconnections within the hand's skeletal structure. The latter component innovatively models each output modality feature as a node in a fully connected relational graph, facilitating the fusion of heterogeneous data types through dynamic interactions between modalities. This approach allows for the leveraging of each data type's strengths and the mitigation of their weaknesses, significantly enhancing the system's classification accuracy and robustness. Tested on a public benchmark dataset, the framework achieved a remarkable accuracy of 98.48%, demonstrating its efficacy. Moreover, it proves resilient, maintaining strong performance (93.48% accuracy) even in scenarios where only one modality is available, highlighting its potential for real-world applications. This advancement sets a new benchmark in hand gesture recognition, promising future developments in multimodal data fusion. © 2024 ieee.

The research introduces a fresh hybrid architecture integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Blockchain technology to achieve real-time anomaly detection and to ensure data integrity in medical scenarios. The LSTM-CNN motivated model returned results of 95% accuracy and 94% F1-score along with 93% recall, underscoring its enhanced capacity for spotting both illegal data access and suspicious medical dealings. The experimental setup led to an analysis of a synthetic hospital dataset comprising 26,000 items, which included patient admissions, billing transactions, and medical records, with 5.3 % of the data specifically designed to include anomalies to assess the model's performance. After deploying the Blockchain on Ethereum, we ensured that the data was immutable and secure, completely removing cases of data tampering and unauthorized alterations, which descended from 5 and 8 incidents before the installation to zero following it. Also, the solution showed that reductions in validation failures went from 7 to 1, illuminating how smart contracts automate data validation processes. Results from latency studies demonstrate that the system is capable of managing real-time transactions with an average delay of 3.2 seconds, establishing its suitability for fluid medical environments that demand fast access to data. The research points out that the proposed framework may considerably increase data security and operational efficiency within healthcare contexts. The study generates a firm framework for developing more secure and trustworthy hospital data management systems, while future efforts will concentrate on enhancing the framework for broader deployment and improving its scalability to deal with increasingly complex healthcare data scenarios. © 2024 ieee.

This paper presents a novel design to remove stimulus artifacts from electromyographic signals under functional electrical stimulation (FES). This design combines Kalman filter (KF), Comb filter (COMB), and Generalized Extreme Studentized Deviate (GESD) algorithms, and its effectiveness is verified by filtering synthetic semi-simulated and real data. Experimental results show that in the signal processed by the KF-COMB-G algorithm, the stimulus artifacts caused by FES are well suppressed. The filtered signal has a higher correlation coefficient and signal-to-noise ratio, which highlights the good effect of this design in removing FES interference. In addition, the algorithm is simple to implement and has strong real-time performance, providing a new and effective method for artifact removal processing of electromyographic signals under FES conditions. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

This article presents the results of the implementation of a measuring system based on an IoT module for remote transmission of aggregate measurement data obtained during analytical monitoring of five water parameters via a wireless communication channel. A model of an experimental setup is presented and discussed, demonstrating the operability and consistency of the model for monitoring physical parameters during aggregate measurements. The obtained results of remote data transmission via a wireless communication channel revealed a statistically significant correlation between spring water parameters and the most influential predictor of acidity, conductivity, turbidity and oxidation-reduction potential is water temperature. The discovered relationship between the measured parameters is mainly associated with the effect of temperature on the processes occurring with an increase and decrease in the temperature of the analyzed water samples. © 2024 ieee.
