This paper investigates a UAV smart air travel distributed traffic management system, which includes the Public Smart Air Traffic service Provider (P-SSP) module, the Enterprise Smart Air Traffic service Provider (S-SSP) module, and the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Operator operations Control module. The P-SSP module is responsible for providing management during the strategic, pre-tactical, tactical, and emergency stages of UAV flights. The S-SSP module caters to UAV operators requesting services by providing urban air traffic management services and facilitating information sharing with the P-SSP. The UAV Operator Operational Control module is used to customize the service content of the S-SSP. The design of this system aims to meet the requirements of smart city air traffic development and provide a safe, efficient, and fair traffic management solution for operational scenarios such as urban UAV logistics transportation and instant delivery at a systemic level. © 2023 ieee.

The agriculture sector, once reliant only on external inputs for increased yields, faces repercussions of diminished natural systems and significant environmental impact. High-precision agriculture aims to curb excessive usage of fertilizers and pesticides while prioritizing sustainability. Modern technologies can shape decisions toward the betterment of soil health, plant protection, and yield enhancement. Predictive models employing machine learning aid farmers in crop performance estimation, disease detection, soil health assessment, and yield prediction among others. These insights inform field operations, logistics, and contract negotiations. Leveraging machinery data, weather data, and drone imagery using machine learning can help us refine farming practices. Recurrent neural networks (RNN) can aid in various farming challenges like plant stress detection and irrigation. Yet, challenges persist in optimizing hyperparameters, a task we tackled using the nature-inspired crayfish optimization algorithm (COA) adapted to tune echo state networks (ESN) for multivariate time series forecasting of crop yield. This study demonstrates the utility of machine learning in agriculture, enabling yield assessment for improved sustainability. © 2024 ieee.

Blockchain has been gaining attraction in a variety of industrial domains because of its security, decentralization, and transparency, however, it is believed that still thorough investigation is lacking in terms of how the level of difficulty in consensus algorithms affects the throughput and scalability of blockchain systems. An effort has been made to investigate this gap by performing a detailed empirical investigation with varying difficulty levels of PoW (Proof of Work) consensus algorithm using an SLA (service Level Agreement) based scenario. It takes into consideration the impact of the number of nodes in our proposed system, the size of individual blocks, their speed of generation, and the rate of confirmation of transactions into the block of the main consensus chain. SLA-based transactions have been injected into the permissioned blockchain. The empirical analysis in the paper demonstrates that the rate of the number of transactions decreases as the system operates under a high level of difficulty with some degradation of performance. © 2024 ieee.

High-voltage overhead lines are highly susceptible to faults, especially temporary ones that can disrupt power supply. To occurrence of faults will lead the circuit breakers at the lines to open to protect the lines. The implementation of an auto-reclose (AR) scheme is essential, as it allows the line to automatically reclose after a temporary fault. However, for large turbine generators, such as those in coal- fired power plants (CFPPs), improper reclose operations carry serious risks. Two-phase or three-phase faults are more dangerous than single-phase faults because they generate stronger transients that are more difficult to manage. Incorrect reclose operations under these conditions can worsen the situation. This study analyzes the application of both SPAR (Single Pole Auto-Reclose) and TPAR (Three Pole Auto-Reclose) schemes on high-voltage transmission lines connected to plant outlets. In both 1-phase and 3-phase auto-redose schemes, the simulation results show that the generator maintains synchronization not only during normal operating conditions but also when one line is out of service for maintenance. Even when faults occur on another line during maintenance, the generator remains synchronized after the disturbance. © 2024 ieee.

The service industry is acting like a big player in the economy. For any service industry to achieve a competitive advantage and create the difference only quality service is the key. The Transportation sector is the renowned service sector for economic development. In the present situation good transportation forms good logistics services. Transportation constantly has a great impact on the development of economy, as the economy is ceaselessly getting reliant on the expanding capacity and the discernment of transport. With the facility and round the clock operation of big size wagons, larger train loads and closed-circuit rakes help all through day and night with a major focus on customer satisfaction. Railways have been most convenient to transport goods or cargos. Indian Railways is the backbone of the country for its unremarkable performance from the previous 151 years. IR having 114,520 kms of overall track with a route of 66,000 kms, and 7,600 various stations. IR helps the passengers in a best way, and hence there is a requirement to incorporate concern of passengers within the planning, processes and other operations which influence the services for passengers and the quality in a greatest manner. The study on the service quality address worries of passenger more viably, and comparable time. It additionally as well as productively observes the development and support of a decent service quality. © 2023 ieee.

Microservices offer a modular approach to software architecture, enhancing flexibility and scalability. This paper introduces an automated extraction method for evaluating microservices' cohesion, complexity, and granularity. Leveraging a rule-based approach, the system identifies methods within a microservice architecture. Metrics such as Average Lack of Cohesion Metric (ALCOM), Number of operations (NOO), and Average service Granularity Metric (ASGM) are calculated to assess the extracted microservices. A case study in Account Payyable Microservice of ERP System illustrates the effectiveness of this method in identifying microservice variables and evaluating architecture quality. This research found that the value of ALCOM is -0.93, NOO is 3.63, and ASGM is 0.50. © 2024 ieee.

Effective management of port terminal operations and logistics requires efficient allocation of resources for arriving ships. Predicting vessel arrival times is crucial for optimizing the allocation of resources and ensuring smooth operations. To this end, the Automatic Identification System (AIS) has emerged as a valuable source of data for vessel tracking and voyage-related information retrieval. In this study, we investigate the performance of two popular filtering algorithms, Discrete Kalman Filter (DKF) and Unscented Kalman Filter (UKF), in extrapolating the short-term (2-minute) trajectory of vessels using a Constant Velocity (CV) model. This can be useful in providing missing information needed by a vessel arrival time prediction model. Our experimental results show that the UKF and DKF perform similarly in vessel trajectory extrapolation, suggesting that the additional computational cost of sigma point sampling and propagation in the UKF may not be necessary for this application. This finding has implications for the development of vessel arrival time prediction models that rely on vessel trajectory information. © 2023 ieee.

As a promising enabling technology for digital transformation with the prime goal of solving numerous challenges, digital twin concept has gained significant recognition among researchers and practitioners, and has been adopted across many different industries. The importance of data to digital twin cannot be overstated. Data plays a critical role in constructing virtual models, building cyber-physical connections, and executing intelligent operations. Driven by data and model, the digital twin modeling is the core for accurate portrayal of its physical entity, which enables the digital twin to deliver a functional service in monitoring and prediction. Against this background, the paper suggests the adoption of digital twin within the border control domain for risk monitoring purposes. The monitoring function will identify, analyze, and respond to illegal activities at national entry points. The virtual data is collected from various sources of IoT devices. This research conducts a thorough review of existing literature and analysis on technology advancements to present the emerging trends and technology used in border control and subsequently proposed a model and framework of digital twin integrated border control that will support risk monitoring of border authority. Exploratory investigation was conducted in search for model and framework validation. Result of the survey shows that the majority of the respondents agreed with the idea of digital twin implementation within border control domain to support risk monitoring. The preliminary study proved that digital twin integration contributes to the effectiveness and efficiency of border protection routine. ©2024 ieee.

The machine-building industry is characterized by a number of distinctive features, including the periodic alteration of the range of manufactured products in terms of size, configuration and other factors. An urgent task is to control the time resources spent on production. This is due to the fact that even a minor change in the logistics supply chains and minor changes in equipment loading and changes in the equipment park can collectively lead to a significant increase in the overall production cycle and an increase in negative costs. The most promising avenue for reducing the technological time of manufacturing products by multiproduct enterprises is the minimization of waiting time due to the uniform distribution of each technological transition in accordance with the state of the available equipment in the workshop (plant, production area, enterprise). This study presents a model that enables the calculation of the total number of operations required to produce a conditional product. It is feasible to optimize the technological processes, thereby modifying the structure of each production operation in order to align it with the existing technology. The testing of this methodology demonstrated a significant increase in the utilization rate of machinery, with an observed increase of 8%. © 2024 ieee.

Organizations employ a range of business improvement initiatives to improve their operations. Supply chain management, logistics, and site services are viewed as being vital for businesses to have a competitive edge. Any organization's ability to grow depends on how well its logistics and supply chain network and planning are able to deliver goods from the factory to the site in a timely manner without sustaining any damage during transit, as well as how well its site services operations are carried out once the goods have been delivered there. However, it should also be borne in mind that the race for expansion shouldn't come at the expense of harming the environment or the well-being of the workforce, which is the growth's major asset. In this paper, site service operations, capacitor bank commissioning for reactive power management, and solutions to EHS problems during site services and logistical activities in the reactive power industry are covered in depth. To combat the effects of climate change, alternative transportation options are also proposed.
