In today's world, the internet of Things (IoT), the essential need for safeguarding digital data, namely digital images and videos, has come to the forefront. This study introduces a novel hybrid encryption technique characterized by specific attributes that favor efficiency and optimum key utilization, enhancing information technology security. Safeguarding the authenticity and privacy of digital images is of utmost importance owing to the many security obstacles presented during their processing and transmission. This research presents the IoT-based Hybrid image Security Framework (IoT-HISF) using Genetic Algorithm (GA) and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), which comprises a comprehensive solution to address the difficulties. The research provides valuable contributions by creating high-speed encryption, focusing on generating vital cryptographic keys. The research introduces multi-layered security measures specifically designed to safeguard images in the IoT using the IoT-HISF framework. The IoT-HISF demonstrates performance outcomes in several metrics, such as peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) with a value of 53.15 dB, Hamming distance of 0.02, bit error rate (BER) of 0.0002, accuracy of 97.82%, payload capacity of 5.32 bits per pixel (bpp), and security index of 97.05. These findings emphasize the exceptional image security capabilities of the IoT-HISF framework, particularly in IoT applications. The results indicate that the IoT-HISF enhances image security in IoT applications, including reliable safeguards for high-quality photos and optimizing resource efficiency.

A wide variety of smart home, smart city, and smart space automated applications have contributed to the internet of Things' rapid growth in the past few years. A lot of real-time internet of Things (IoT) applications rely on Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) because of how reliable, efficient, flexible, and scalable they are. It has a cluster of geographically specific sensors that capture and analyze data about the physical characteristics of the surrounding area. Increased latency and decreased performance are consequences of the massive amounts of information being handled and saved in the cloud. Particularly in mission-critical, delay-sensitive internet of Things applications, concerns like latency, protection, and conservation of energy must be addressed. To get around this problem, fog technology has been implemented, whereby end-user-located IoT devices do all the processing and storage locally, rather than constantly sending raw data to the internet. Fog computing in conjunction with WSN provides excellent options for monitoring surroundings pertaining to monitoring with their inexpensive, environmentally friendly, and low-bandwidth sensors, as well as for developing a safe and efficient framework for data transfer. The primary goals of this study are to design a deep learning-based intrusion detection mechanism for use in fog-based WSN environments, as well as an energy-efficient cluster-headed organization and multi-objective optimum routing method. The findings reveal that the recommended FAFOC system outperforms LEACH, P-SEP, and FEAR in network lifespan, active nodes, and usage of energy, 98% of packet distribution ratio, and latency. FAFOC is the most cost-effective network of wireless sensors because fuzzy reasoning and artificial vegetation optimization boost network effectiveness.

Modern music retrieval systems often rely on fixed representations of user preferences, limiting their ability to capture users’ diverse and uncertain retrieval needs. To address this limitation, we introduce Diff4Steer, a novel generative retrieval framework that employs lightweight diffusion models to synthesize diverse seed embeddings representing potential directions for music exploration. Unlike deterministic methods that map user query to a single point in embedding space, Diff4Steer provides a statistical prior on the target modality (audio) for retrieval, effectively capturing the uncertainty and multi-faceted nature of user preferences. Furthermore, Diff4Steer can be steered by image or text inputs, enabling more flexible and controllable music discovery combined with nearest neighbor search. Our framework outperforms deterministic regression methods and LLM-based generative retrieval baseline in terms of retrieval and ranking metrics, demonstrating its effectiveness in capturing user preferences, leading to more diverse and relevant recommendations. It has been a hot topic to detect Alzheimer's disease (AD) from MRI and other neuroimaging data by machine learning in recent years. A large number of deep learning models have been developed, such as alexnet, VGg net, Gan and so on. The common limitation of these models is that they rely on a large number of labeled training images and need deeper network structure to achieve higher accuracy. It is challenging to obtain a large number of labeled data in the field of medical image. Training a suitable medical image classification model from scratch also requires a lot of resources. To solve these problems, in this paper, we try to use convolutional network (CNN) transfer learning for image classification training, select CNN network model, fine tune the network weight layer by layer, modify the last layer of CNN for training on MRI image. In order to reduce the size of training data, we use image entropy to select the most informative slice. Through the experiments on ADNI data sets, compared with other contemporary methods, we achieve 99.89% on the classification of Alzheimer's disease (AD), Normal Cognitive (NC) and Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI). Attractively, class activation mapping (CAM) is employed to visualize brain regions related to AD, which further gives the targeted information for AD diagnosis. © 2021 ieee.

Principal Component Analysis (PCA) is a versatile Unsupervised Learning (UL) technique for reducing the dimensionality of datasets. As a result, PCA is widely used in consumer and research applications as a preprocessing tool for identifying important features prior to further analysis. In instances where on-site personnel or developers do not have the expertise to apply UL techniques, third party processors are frequently retained. However, the release of client or proprietary data poses a substantial security risk. This risk increases the regulatory and contractual burden on analysts when interacting with sensitive or classified information. Homomorphic Encryption (HE) cryptosystems are a novel family of encryption algorithms that permit approximate addition and multiplication on encrypted data. When applied to UL models, such as PCA, experts may apply their expertise while maintaining data privacy. In order to evaluate the potential application of Homomorphic Encryption, we implemented Principal Component Analysis using the Microsoft SEAL HE libraries. The resulting implementation was applied to the MNIST Handwritten dataset for feature reduction and image reconstruction. based on our results, HE considerably increased the time required to process the dataset. However, the HE algorithm is still viable for non-real-time applications as it had an average pixel error of near-zero for all image reconstructions.

As innovation for transmitting data has advanced exponentially, new avenues for protecting sensitive information have emerged up. Over the last several decades, many different strategies, such as steganography and cryptography, have been developed to safeguard sensitive information. As the use of IoT devices in healthcare has grown exponentially, concerns about patient privacy and confidentiality have surfaced as important roadblocks for healthcare service systems. Security in device-to-device communication is a challenging subject. There are a plethora of existing cryptographic techniques for use, such as Data Encryption Standard (DES), Rivest-Shamir-Adleman (RSA), and Advanced Encryption Standard. In this research, we provide hybrid security architecture for safeguarding medical image files that include interpretive text. The proposed scheme uses 2D-DWT to encrypt and conceal sensitive information. Both color and black-and-white photos are used as text covers. The proposed system's efficacy was evaluated using a battery of tests that included PSNR, SSIM, MSE, and Correlation. The suggested model disguised sensitive patient information in a way that was comparable to traditional methods in terms of throughput, invisibility, and damage to the received steno-image. To implement the suggested system, we turn to MATLAB, with throughput and execution time serving as key metrics for evaluation. © 2022 ieee.

Wide bandgap semiconductor-based directconversion X-ray detectors present a multitude of benefits and hold significant promise for various applications. In this study, a direct-conversion X-ray detector utilizing a p-Si/i-MgO/n-TiO 2 structure was fabricated using radio frequency magnetron sputtering. The X-ray detection properties of the device were systematically investigated. This device achieved a signal-to-noise ratio and sensitivity of 58.75 and 1048.6 nC/(Gy air •cm 2 ), respectively, under a 6 MV hard X-ray and a bias voltage of -1 V, which was 359% and 273% higher than the p-Si/n-TiO2 structure devices. Furthermore, the p-Si/i-MgO/n-TiO 2 X-ray detector has a faster response time of 0.11 s (rise) and 0.04 s (decay). These results provide new ideas for the subsequent development of highperformance wide-bandgap semiconductor hard X-ray detectors.

The LoRa radio transmission is a popular low power WAN technology due to the use of unlicensed spectrum, low cost and long-range. LoRa devices use different Spreading Factors, which are dynamically selected by an Adaptive Data Rate (ADR) algorithm, based on signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) measurements. We discuss the influence of ADR parameters on the network performance. We use extensive simulations to estimate the probability of message delivery and energy consumption for different configurations of ADR parameters. The analysis has been performed using OMNeT++ Discrete Event Simulator together with FLoRa framework for two types of network topologies: random uniform and based on a sample city-wide LoRa deployment. The results show that there is a significant trade-off between the energy utilization and message delivery ratio probability and that the default configuration of ADR leads to over-optimistic decrease of SF and TX power, as a consequence leading to packet loss ratio >50%.

At present, the main technology of garbage identification and classification is the use of traditional machine vision algorithm or the use of sensors for screening and identification of garbage, in garbage sorting, the first accurate identification and classification of garbage is very necessary. By collecting various types of garbage pictures and building detection data sets, we adopt the garbage identification and detection algorithm based on YOLO-V5 and use data enhancement to improve the robustness of the model, to achieve fast and accurate identification of different types of garbage. Experimental results show that this method has high accuracy, short time consumption, and good robustness. © 2021 ieee.

RGB-T tracker owns the capability of fusing two different yet complementary target observations, thus it will become a promising technology to fulfill all-weather tracking. Existing convolutional neural network based tracking methods often consider the multi-source oriented deep feature fusion from global viewpoint, leading to inevitable negative effect when feature maps of the target pair only contain little useful information. To solve this problem, we propose a four-stream oriented Siamese network, named as FS-Siamese, for RGB-T tracking. In particular, we introduce co-attention mechanism in bilinear pooling to explore the partial feature interaction between the RGB and thermal targets. This can effectively avoid uninformed image blocks disturbing feature embedding fusion. To enhance the efficiency of our Siamese network, we also propose an inner product based logistical loss for training the feature embedding and the graph convolutional neural network based bilinear pooling in an end-to-end manner. Extensive experiments on GTOT datasets demonstrate that the proposed method achieves state-of-the-art performance in the task of RGB-T tracking. © 2021 ieee.
