The choice of enterprise technology innovation mode (TIM) is a critical part of the enterprise strategy, which has important influence on the development of enterprises. This paper proposes a four quadrant model of TIMs, drawing upon relevant literature on technology innovation. Then, the evaluation index system was structured by Delphi method and literature analysis, and AHP method was used to determine the weights of indexes. Grey comprehensive evaluation method is a scientific and reasonable method, it comprehensively analyzes qualitative data and quantitative data. According to the evaluation results of two dimensions, determine the choice of TIM, and the selection model of TIM was established. Finally, the effectiveness and applicability of the TIM selection model is verified by a case study of ZX Company.

This paper established a combined evaluation model to assess the competitiveness of Private Science and technology Parks (PSTPs) in China to support their scientific development. More specifically, the evaluation index system is identified according to the previous study. Three commonly used methods, including Grey Relational Analysis (GRA), Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS), and Principal Components Analysis (PCA), are utilized to obtain each evaluation result. Considering the inconsistency of the above results, this paper conducted a combined evaluation method to gain a more scientific and reasonable result. Finally, a numerical example was taken to show the effectiveness of the proposed model.

Renewable energy systems have developed wide interest to supply electricity in remote areas as well as for distributed power generation particularly during peak loads. Fuel-cell-based power generation is also gaining popularity in residential applications as well as distributed power generation due to its cleanliness, portability, and suitability for electricity and heat generation. Development of a suitable power electronic interface to make the technology viable is still a challenge. This paper presents modeling, simulation, and experimental study of a fuel cell (FC) power plant (FCPP) suitable for stand-alone application as well as for micro-grid/grid interface. A single-stage pulsewidth modulation inverter is selected as power electronic interface between FC and grid. A mathematical model is developed in per unit system to define the power limits in terms of FC, converter, and power system parameters. The simulation model is developed in MATLAB environment with control scheme implementation in qd reference frame for investigation. A prototype of single-stage FCPP is developed in the laboratory to validate the results.

The private sector is considered as a core driver of national innovation activities. From the perspective of national innovation system, it is the key sub-system in which various innovation activities are triggered by profit maximization motives. Currently, in South Korea, the research and development (R&D) investment in private sector accounts for about 75% of the national R&D investment. Considering the increasing role of the private sector in the national innovation system, it is essential for policy makers to make innovation activities in each domain to be complementary with each other. From the perspective of the national innovation system the primary objective of this study is to develop the innovation scoreboard that enables us to monitor the status of the innovation activities in private sector. Furthermore, we seek to ensure the comparability of all indicators so that we can easily identify one nation's area of relative strength and comparative advantage. The private sector innovation scoreboard is composed of four sub-categories: innovation infrastructure, institutions, innovation activities and impact. The innovation activities are divided further onto knowledge activities, organizational activities and innovation output. By doing so, the part of innovation activities model the sequential process of input-output flow of innovation. In total, 60 indicators are included in the private innovation scoreboard. Among the 60 indicators, South Korea has relative strength in science and technology human resources, market size, private R&D support system, start-up system, and the number of start-ups. However, it shows relative weakness in indicators such as financial infrastructure, legal system for promoting science and technology, financial system, labor market efficiency, regulation and output.
