In recent year, with the development of mobile device and wireless communication, the concept of Internet of things (IoT) emerges and extensive research and development of IoT application enables the real-time indoor localization for asset tracking through wireless sensor network. Many studies have focused on the positioning technology using Global Positioning system (GPS), Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and ZigBee, but little attention has been paid on the industrial application of low-cost Bluetooth location-based indoor positioning system in asset localization. A convenient way for controlling household appliances using a remote controller is not suitable for movement-disabled patients. To provide an alternative for such people, some applications on controlling household devices have been developed recently. However, there are some shortcomings in those control systems. Because the brain activities are reserved in movement-disabled patients, we proposed a virtual remote control system using a P300 Brain-computer interface(BCI), which allows users to communicate with outside by focused attention. Both offline and online experiments were implemented to verify the feasibility of virtual BCI-based remote control system. The validation results demonstrated that the designed system achieved a good performance, which may meet practical requirements.

This paper focuses the viability of green logistics based on Shipment Consolidation (SCL) policy in automotive industry. Within this context, the SCL policy is a logistics strategy whereby many small shipments are combined into a few larger loads. This research involves a case study of an actual automotive assembly line. The spotlight is on the inbound and outbound logistics in an attempt to reduce the carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions on the environment. Based on the data collected from the assembly line a system Dynamics (SD) simulation model was created. The inbound logistics shipment policy is based on both time and quantity based model. And the outbound logistics is time based model shipment policy. The results of the SD model have shown that difficulty in the use of SCL based decisions on inventory due to the complexity and fragmented nature of automotive inventory. However;the model results indicated reduced vehicle emissions when transporting inventory. Therefore, reducing environmental implications caused by CO2 emissions.

The traction power supply system, as a very important part of electric railways, provides energies for the running trains. Its reliability is directly related to the operation dependability of the railways. In this paper, the characteristics of the traction power supply system of Chinese electric railways are fully considered. In addition, according to the features of design and operation, the demand for reliability data acquisitions and the calculation methods of reliability indexes are studied in this paper from two aspects of the power supply services and the power supply facilities. Because of the big data technology involved in massive data statistical analysis, a SQL database has been built. And the reliability statistical analysis software of the traction power supply system based on B/S structure has been established by Web technology. The analysis software shares the information fully with the management information system and the dispatch system. Thereupon then the software forms a basic data collection and reliability evaluation system for the traction power supply system in China, which can serve as the basis for the operation and maintenance department to implement management.

Education is an essential element in our life in order to build a better future for young generations. A school must have a better communication platform between teachers and parents to ensure collaboration in monitoring the children's education. Due to time confinement and restrictive schedule, parents nowadays are not able to monitor their children's progress accordingly in terms of school activities and student's performance. Furthermore, instruction from the teachers toward the parents were not delivered properly. These arc caused by multiple factors such as the inability to deliver messages correctly due to young age. Therefore, this paper proposes online Parent-Teacher Assisting Monitoring Application (PTAMA) system. The PTAMA system will be built in web based and mobile application system. There are five features in PTAMA system involve attendance, announcements, homework, feedback and letters. In this system, student's attendance is recorded using Quick Response (QR) Code that is printed into student matric card. This system is specifically designed for primary school students. Rapid Application Development (RAD) cycle is chosen as a methodology to develop this PTAMA system. By having this PTAMA system, parents and teachers can collaborate to monitor the students' performance.

The proposed catapult system is evaluated by conducted simulation considering disturbance of deck wind and ground effect during stroke process and disturbance of wind ahead of carrier bow during flight process.
