extreme disasters will cause significant damage to the conventional communication system of the distribution network, thereby affecting the emergency repair and reconstruction of the distribution network. This paper considers transmitting the distribution network data through satellites to ensure the normal data transmission of the distribution network during disasters. In view of the limited transmission rate between the distribution network equipment and the satellite network, this paper focuses on the resource allocation problem, aiming to increase the amount of data transmitted of the distribution network. Specifically, this paper first models the resource allocation problem as an access-channel joint allocation problem. Then, this paper decomposes the optimization problem into two separate issues: access optimization and channel optimization, which are iteratively solved to derive the resource allocation scheme. Finally, this paper takes a typical satellite system combined with a typical province of China to conduct simulations. The results show that our algorithm can effectively improves the total weighted transmission data.

With the rapid increase of data traffic and real-time requirements for control-based services in the electricity-energy Internet, the information processing technologies of deterministic edge network has broad application prospects for real-time and high reliable transmission. However, the high dimensionality of sensing data, complex processing algorithms, and difficulty in learning in deterministic edge networks pose high challenges to sampling detection. Therefore, a sampling period adaptive adjustment algorithm with dual-scale prediction is proposed in this paper. Dual-scale prediction is utilized, to depict the short term trend of power equipment's operation data and the long term fluctuation of them. The proposed algorithm realizes data reconstruction for the missing time points, which can greatly reduce the amount of transmitted data, thus satisfying high-quality transmission. extensive simulation results validate that this proposed algorithm can effectively reduce the data reconstruction error through edge sensing.

The existing high-level current ratio standard devices are all based on the principle of magnetic modulation-type comparators, with uncertainties reaching the order of 10<^>-6, making it difficult to further improve accuracy. This article addresses one of the main reasons limiting the improvement of accuracy in current comparators, which is the error caused by insufficient sensitivity of the Ampere balance device. Firstly, it initiates the design of a shield structure based on superconductors to reduce the impact of magnetic leakage. Secondly, it investigates a solid-state spin measurement method using diamond NV (Negatively Nitrogen Vacancy, NV) color centers. This method is based on a fixed microwave frequency and measures changes in the optically detected magnetic resonance spectrum to achieve magnetic field measurement. Through an analysis of the overall system error, theoretical limits are presented for a high-accuracy current comparator based on superconductors and solid-state quantum precision measurement.

We develop a clearance and settlement model for Peer-to-Peer (P2P) energy trading in low-voltage networks. The model enables direct transactions between parties within an open and distributed system and integrates unused capacity while respecting network constraints. We evaluate the model through simulations of different scenarios (normal operating conditions and extreme conditions) for 24-hour time blocks. Our simulations highlight the benefits of our model in a decentralized energy system, notably its ability to deal with high-trade volumes.

As we enter the post-Moore era, we experience the rise of various non-von-Neumann-architectures to address the increasing computational demand for modern applications, with quantum computing being among the most prominent and promising technologies. However, this development creates a gap in current computer science curricula since most quantum computing lectures are strongly physics-oriented and have little intersection with the remaining curriculum of computer science. This fact makes designing an appealing course very difficult, in particular for non-physicists. Furthermore, in the academic community, there is consensus that quantum computers are going to be used only for specific computational tasks (e.g., in computational science), where hybrid systems - combined classical and quantum computers - facilitate the execution of an application on both quantum and classical computing resources. A hybrid system thus executes only certain suitable parts of an application on the quantum machine, while other parts are executed on the classical components of the system. To fully exploit the capabilities of hybrid systems and to meet future requirements in this emerging field, we need to prepare a new generation of computer scientists with skills in both distributed computing and quantum computing. To bridge this existing gap in standard computer science curricula, we designed a new lecture and exercise series on Hybrid Quantum-Classical Systems, where students learn how to decompose applications and implement computational tasks on a hybrid quantum-classical computational continuum. While learning the inherent concepts underlying quantum systems, students are obligated to apply techniques and methods they are already familiar with, making the entrance to the field of quantum computing comprehensive yet appealing and accessible to students of computer science.

electrochemistry workflows utilize various instruments and computing systems to execute workflows consisting of electrocatalyst synthesis, testing and evaluation tasks. The heterogeneity of the software and hardware of these ecosystems makes it challenging to orchestrate a complete workflow from production to characterization by automating its tasks. We propose an autonomous electrochemistry computing platform for a multi-site ecosystem that provides the services for remote experiment steering, real-time measurement transfer, and AI/ML-driven analytics. We describe the integration of a mobile robot and synthesis workstation into the ecosystem by developing custom hub-networks and software modules to support remote operations over the ecosystem's wireless and wired networks. We describe a workflow task for generating I-V voltammetry measurements using a potentiostat, and a machine learning framework to ensure their normality by detecting abnormal conditions such as disconnected electrodes. We study a number of machine learning methods for the underlying detection problem, including smooth, non-smooth, structural and statistical methods, and their fusers. We present experimental results to illustrate the effectiveness of this platform, and also validate the proposed ML method by deriving its rigorous generalization equations.

Microgrids are becoming more and more significant as the electric energy industry expands into distributed power in recent years. Power quality (PQ) was quite impacted through the incorporation of renewable energy sources into the local distribution system and the nonlinear behaviour of sophisticated power electronic devices. During the micro-grid transition, the main issues are raised i.e., the supply not reached to the loads as per the demand and power quality like voltage instability, less power factor, harmonic distortions, and transients, arise. By using fuel cells, wind turbines, and photovoltaics, a single microgrid is constructed using this suggested topology's distributed energy resources (DeRs). The inverter is controlled using a nonlinear autoregressive exogenous input neural network (NARX-NN) technique to keep the power quality problems within the specified limits and to generate uninterrupted power supply in both grid connected and islanded mode operations. © 2024 ieee.

With the advancement and application of computing in electrical infrastructure, all traditional electrical grids are transforming into Smart grid. Modern Smart grid are more efficient than traditional electrical grids but also prone to cyber-attacks due to presence of computing devices and communication protocols. In this work, we are finding a better machine learning algorithm to predict false data injection attacks in smart grid. We have taken the Smart grid dataset from Kaggle. In our research, we used AdaBoost, Deep Learning (DL), and K Nearest Neighbor (KNN) machine learning classifier. We observed that KNN is better than Deep Learning, and AdaBoost in all parameters of accuracy, precision, recall, and f1-score. © 2025 ieee.

Regional Ocean Modeling System (ROMS) applications often employ nested grid configurations to capture fine-scale processes more accurately. In this study, we plan to accelerate nested grid simulations for the Bay of Bengal (BoB) region using ROMS. We successfully implemented a 2.3km resolution application for the BoB region, which served as the foundation for setting up a Refinement-type nested grid application. Our analysis revealed that the default strategy, which distributes all grids equally across processors, was inefficient for the refinement grids. These grids typically require fewer computational resources than coarser grids, resulting in increased communication latency and limitations in scalability. We propose a new workload distribution strategy which solves the problem of scaling nested grid applications in ROMS, specifically for the nested grids. Moving forward, we plan to develop an improved distribution strategy that optimizes both workload and inter-processor communication. Additionally, we aim to extend this strategy to various superclasses of nested grids supported by ROMS, ensuring efficient execution across different scenarios. © 2024 ieee

Under the background of dual-carbon, electric vehicle (eV) show a trend of large-scale popularization and promotion, and the disorderly charging behavior of eV cluster has a significant impact on the safe operation and power quality of the distribution network. Due to the clustering and controllability of eV, it can orderly participate in power dispatching under the guidance of the grid demand response mechanism. Therefore, based on the analysis of the demand response mechanism of eV, this paper established a demand response control potential assessment model based on eV cluster, and then proposed a demand response scheduling control strategy, and verified the effectiveness of the proposed strategy through simulation analysis. © 2024 ieee.
