Cloud computing technology is becoming more and more popular in enterprises, but it also breaks the traditional partition mode of enterprises. Starting from the importance of microisolation technology in cloud resource protection, this paper analyzes the key technologies and implementation principles of microisolation application in cloud security protection scenarios, and studies and designs the architecture of microisolation technology. Use the support vector machine algorithm to analyze the security status between microisolation areas, thus forming a microisolation strategy model. Through the analysis of the actual case of power enterprises using microisolation technology, it shows that microisolation technology significantly improves and protects cloud security network security. Compare the application prospects of microisolation technology in private cloud, public cloud and hybrid cloud respectively. © 2024 ieee.

In recent years, drone-based delivery systems have gained significant attention for last-mile logistics in various domains. This study focuses on optimizing drone deliveries in mixed-grid environments, which combine urban and rural areas. The objective is to minimize the sum of distances between the delivery locations and the drone's depot. By selecting the optimal depot placement, we aim to improve factors such as expected delivery time, energy consumption, and environmental impacts. To address this optimization problem, we conducted a comprehensive comparison of several state-of-the-art algorithms specifically designed for computing the drone placement in mixed-grid environments. Our evaluation utilized synthetic and quasi-real data and two distinct scenarios were considered: the full-grid scenario, and the partial-grid scenario. Through empirical analyses, we demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms and provide valuable insights into their trade-offs in terms of performance and time complexity. © 2023 ieee.

Renewable energy resources have become trendier these days the root cause of which is this environmental pollution, global warming and rapidly increasing demand of a electricity. Also, from the research we can conclude that the micro grids are the generating plant which can utilize the renewable resources to its fullest. In this context we can try to extract maximum efficiency from renewable resources like wind, solar and hydro etc. However, the irregular pattern of wind generation is the main barrier to additional employment of this renewable in generation station. The concept of micro grid is presently a theoretical solution towards the fulfillment of sustainable power generation and power supply for future grids. Apart from wind, solar and hydro power renewable resources have great potential for contributing towards green energy. © 2023 ieee.

With the increasing energy consumption of data centers, its impact on the power system is becoming more and more significant. Data centers are not only energy-intensive loads, but also important waste heat producers, with supply and demand bidirectional. At present, the operation of data center micro-energy network is complicated, and there are problems such as the difficulty of fine load modeling of data center and the difficulty of integrating demand response resources to participate in the power market. It makes it difficult for data centers to provide reliable regulation capabilities, resulting in orderly power consumption difficulties. In this paper, a data center load model is established to calculate the time-space transfer characteristics of the load in the day-ahead market, including the IT equipment energy consumption model and the cooling system energy consumption model, as well as the calculation load and server operation model. Then, based on the power market price signal, the optimal scheduling model of multi-location data center is established to minimize the total cost of multi-location data center, and the optimal distribution of computing load is realized. © 2024 ieee.

With the emergence of diversified mobile applications in the social field, e.g., image recognition, the massive growth in mobile data has imposing more service requests with strict real-time requirement on servers, therefore, the edge computing as an effective paradigm has been used to provide low-latency intelligence services. To improve the efficiency of concurrent processing on the edge server, the microservices architecture also has been adopted to offer a promising data processing solution. In this paper, through combining the stated advantages for social image recognition, an edge intelligence empowered scheme using microservices architecture is proposed. To enhance the efficiency of model training for image recognition, an optimized training model within the native framework of convolutional neural network (CNN) is firstly proposed. And then, to achieve the effective and low-latency social image recognition, a two-layer edge-end architecture is designed, within which, the image classification model is divided into feature extractor and image classifier, which are respectively deployed to the edge server and mobile terminals. Using the partial offloading, the mobile terminals perform the image preprocessing and classification, while the image feature extraction is executed on the edge server. In the experiments, the efficiency of the optimized training model is verified through comparing the training loss and accuracy, and the efficiency of the designed edge-end architecture is demonstrated with the concurrent testing. © 2024 ieee.

Digital twin platform that builds digital models of the buildings and infrastructures plays an important role in smart city design, construction and maintenance. The digital twin models are capable of utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) and information technologies, such as perception, calculation and modeling to describe, diagnose, predict and make decisions on the cyber-enabled world based on the big data collected by various sensor networks. In this study, an innovative digital twin platform is designed and implemented for a smart grid system and grid substation in Zhejiang, China. The proposed digital twin model improves the original traditional operation and maintenance of the smart grid system into an intelligent grid management system. The management, operation, and maintenance capabilities of the substation are improved. The proposed method achieves the purpose of improving business efficiency, reducing overall costs, and creating business value. © 2021 ieee.

In recent years an increasing number of autistic students enrolled in college, many choosing computer science (CS) and related majors. However, the retention and graduation rates for autistic students are considerably lower than for neurotypical students. Research investigating factors that influence autistic students' success in college is sparse. More importantly, there is a scarcity of research that examines assessment techniques used and factors that influence the success of autistic CS students. Here, we report findings based on a systematic literature review (N=44) that aims to examine the experience of autistic CS students to identify factors that influence their success given current assessment techniques. Our findings indicate that traditional accommodations, which in general are difficult to access and lack personalization, fall short of addressing many of the challenges autistic students face. The absence of a common vocabulary and communication style (e.g., verbal, instructions, teaching materials) and differences in learning style and cognitive processing between autistic students and neurotypical instructors hinders autistic students' academic success. executive functioning (eF) challenges impact both academic and social aspects. However, accommodations targeted at addressing challenges related to eF are overlooked. Finally, despite many autistic students' affinity for technological interventions, their incorporation in accommodation is almost non-existent. We propose a set of actionable guidelines that could aid many of the challenges autistic students experience in CS programs, including designing a curriculum inspired by universal design, designing personalized accommodations, and incorporating technological interventions as part of the accommodation process.

The ongoing accelerated development and exploration of Quantum computing (QC) - systems, software, algorithms and applications - has generated a huge amount of interest and need among a wide range of organisations and user communities to better understand the technology paradigm, its maturity, limitations and opportunities, and positioning alongside classical high-performance computing (HPC) methods and tools. This interest and need to learn about QC has been accentuated by the rapidness and breadth of developments in QC that is being disseminated in both mainstream and specialist scientific/technical media as well as the accessibility to early quantum computing systems and tools. It has become a challenge for the (potential) user community to sift through the material catering to developing bottom-up fundamental scientific/mathematical skills as well as top-down exploitation oriented knowledge. As the National and one among the european Competence Centres in HPC, the Irish Centre for High-end computing (ICHeC) has worked with an international advisory board composed of quantum computing technology developers, the user community and the Irish State Agency's network that is responsible for national enterprise skills development in ICT to create and deliver a blended course which is customisable, modular and stackable, thereby offering different learning pathways to professional learners from the academic, enterprise and public sector communities with inhomogeneous backgrounds. Particular emphasis is laid on the stakes of engaging learners and organisations with different knowledge basis, skills and learning objectives, as well as making the content suitably-positioned and approachable to all (e.g. varied levels of mathematical knowledge required for basic understanding of quantum computing versus developing quantum algorithms). With the rapid development of electric power distribution automation system, a large number of electric power distribution terminals are deployed and put into operation. At present, electric power distribution terminals are mainly operated by traditional operation and maintenance methods such as regular maintenance and replacement after failure, which results in heavy workload and low efficiency. It is an effective solution to change from regular maintenance to condition maintenance. The key of condition maintenance is to evaluate the condition of electric power distribution terminal and carry out targeted operation and maintenance according to the evaluation results. This paper studies the use of electric power distribution automation system to monitor the electric power distribution terminal's own state, and establishes the terminal's online state evaluation model. There are a lot of fuzzy states in condition evaluation. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method are used to quantify the terminal state and provide the basis for condition maintenance. To determine the weight of each factor in fuzzy comprehensive evaluation, the analytic hierarchy process needs to determine the judgment matrix subjectively, which makes the weight result more subjective. In order to reduce the uncertainty in the evaluation process, a method based on D-S evidence theory and fuzzy matrix fusion is proposed to evaluate the status of power distribution terminals. © 2024 ieee.
