Based on deduced kinetics relations between the locations of four wheels and the mass center of sprung mass under the influence of vertical and lateral tire forces, a four-wheels-independent-vibration absorbing (4WIV) vehicle was presented. Consider the traditional car model with fifteen degree of freedoms could be acted as a combination of four independent controllable quarter vehicle systems, a hierarchical modeling control frame could be suitable to 4WIV vehicle and be constructed. In the control framework, a centre control layer and four controllable location layers were built. Based on computeraided analysis under Matlab software environment, the results show that the system response could be quickened and vibration performances would be improved because of parallel computation realization of four local controllable variables. The 4WIV vehicle proposed in the paper provides a new prototype in vehicular design and manufacturing fields in future.
