However, given the wide range of hardware-security threats that have emerged, future CAD flows must also incorporate techniques for designing secure and trustworthy integrated circuits (ICs). This is because threats that are not addressed during design time will inevitably be exploited in the field, where system vulnerabilities induced by ICs are almost impossible to fix. However, there is currently little experience for designing secure ICs within the CAD community. This contest seeks to actively engage with the community to close this gap. The theme is security closure of physical layouts, that is, hardening the physical layouts at design time against threats that are executed post-design time. Acting as security engineers, contest participants will proactively analyse and fix the vulnerabilities of benchmark layouts in a blue-team approach. Benchmarks and submissions are based on the generic DEF format and related files. This contest is focused on the threat of Trojans, with challenging aspects for physical design in general and for hindering Trojan insertion in particular. For one, layouts are based on the ASAP7 library and rules are strict, e.g., no DRC issues and no timing violations are allowed at all. In the alpha/qualifying round, submissions are evaluated using first-order metrics focused on exploitable placement and routing resources, whereas in the final round, submissions are thoroughly evaluated (red-teamed) through actual insertion of different Trojans.

Membranous Nephropathy (MN) is a common adult nephrotic syndrome, whose key diagnostic process is Glomerular detection and classification. However, the development of MN diagnosis is impeded by the lack of pathologists and the complexity of glomerular pathological judgment. In this paper, we propose a two-stage cascade framework, MNGLO-Net, to identify three pathological types of glomeruli in our MNTG dataset. In first stage, NA-Net produces a detection of the glomerulus and classify the normal and abnormal types simultaneously. The resulting bounding box for each abnormal glomerulus is then used to crop a region of interest around the target in original image and the final feature maps of NA-Net to provide prior context to a refinement classification network, HL-Net, in second stage. Additionally, we propose the Color K-means guided Staining Transfer (CKST) module to solve the issue of single stain and differences among stains, and adopt the Prior knowledge guided Generating (PGAG) algorithm to deal with the challenge of significant shape difference. Experimental results show that MNGLO-Net reach the best results, i.e., 93.3% mean average precision (mAP) and 93.16% F1 score. Furthermore, we design the MN-GLOALY system to automatically produce pathological reports to promote the exploration of MN.

In this paper, we present an application of reinforcement learning for automatic ship's berthing system. In the proposed method, the model-based reinforcement learning is used to generate non-linear feedback controller. The proposed system is composed of an Actor-Critic algorithm suitable for continuous state and a function approximator by Radial Basis Function networks. To evaluate the performance of the proposed system, extensive computer simulations and actual sea tests are carried out using small training ship Shioji-Maru III under various conditions. As a result, we can see that the proposed non-linear optimal feedback controller by reinforcement learning is useful for designing automatic berthing system for the ship.

The aim of this study is the design and implementation of an automated lighting system to compensate the necessary illumination of a hydroponic indoor-greenhouse in spaces with low illumination. The proposed system implements the Kalman Filter for noise reduction and an anti-windup PID tuned with PSO to reach a desired value of illumination in face of illuminance changes. In addition, an IoT web interface for monitoring the current illumination on plants is implemented, which shows a plot of the illumination throughout the day.
