The development of autonomous vehicles such as Unmanned Aerial systems (UAS) are becoming a major tool for air and information superiority in defence and threat anticipation. Human-Autonomy Teaming (HAT) systems are crucial for the success of team collaboration, trust and mission execution in command and control (C2) operations such as Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR). The present work focuses on understanding when and how control should be allocated to autonomous agents. Intelligent adaptive control methods between human and autonomous agents are introduced. The proposed method consists in developing a HAT system based on the co-active design framework. A prototype system was implemented and tested in a human-in-the-loop experiment involving a simulated ISR mission. Findings helped assess individual capacities and detect behavioural patterns for adaptive control. More specifically, it helped recommend the level of support and control to be allocated for each agent. Results focused on the human operator and helped gain insight about how task-allocation strategies could be implemented within a complex ISR operation by breaking it down into sub-tasks. A key outcome of this work to help augment team interoperability in C2 operations. This paper presents methods to optimize the response time of ROS (Robot Operating system), a widely utilized open-source meta-operating system in robotic software development. Despite its popularity, ROS lacks real-time capabilities, making it unsuitable for real-time control and difficult to use in embedded systems. Recently, DAG (Directed Acyclic Graph) task scheduling algorithms have gained much attention, but they are challenging to apply in the current design of ROS. In this work, we analyze that there are three major challenges in ROS;(i) misalignment delay, (ii) message delivery mechanism using TCP/IP, and (iii) multiple overlapping instances of a single task. We first calculate the new response time bound considering misalignment delay and propose an optimization technique using it to solve the first problem. Furthermore, we address the remaining challenges by assigning priority to the nodes of the DAG and ksoftirqd processes. Our experiments using random tasks show significant improvement, outperforming the state-of-art methods. In addition, our methods are validated through testing autonomous driving software on embedded systems, proving their real-world applicability. © 2023 ieee.

Considering the popularity of rapidly growing mobile device use, this study delves into the persistent threat of Trojan horses, focusing on one select mobile OS platform, Android. To demonstrate the heightened risk Trojan horses pose due to their seemingly benign nature, we develop a novel deliberate Trojan horse spyware from scratch to discreetly harvest sensitive data from Android devices. This spyware can clandestinely access device information such as SMSs, contacts, call logs, and installed apps, transmitting the pilfered data to a remote server through a covert background process. Remarkably, the Trojan horse offers remote control capabilities, allowing manipulation from the command- and-control server (C&C server) to launch (D)DoS attacks on specified IP addresses. Notably, the Trojan horse showcases its efficacy as a cyber espionage tool by successfully aiding infiltration of Gmail and Facebook accounts. Its ability to operate persistently with zero-click adds an alarming dimension to its threat. Our experiments yield promising results advocating for the strength and discreet nature of our spyware tool that offers a comprehensive evaluation of Android OS security. The comparison results significantly exceed the performance of existing similar tools. Ultimately, our design will create awareness and enhance Android security. © 2024 ieee.

The purpose of this project is to study the application of automatic guided vehicle (AGV) in the access of hazardous chemicals in laboratory safety management, and to design an AGV robot that can automatically approach hazardous chemicals as the transportation equipment of hazardous chemicals in the laboratory. Firstly, the mechanical structure is designed using computer-aided design software, establishing specific component modules and a comprehensive three-dimensional model of the storage and transportation organization of hazardous chemicals, followed by the manufacturing and assembly of parts. Subsequently, dynamic simulation software, such as Adams, is utilized to simulate the mechanism, while ANSYS (finite element analysis software) conducts static analysis of the sliding rail and middle sliding rail is carried out by ANSYS (Finite element analysis software). Finally, according to the analysis results, structural optimization and lightweight design of the model are carried out. This project innovatively proposes the application of wire pull driving scheme to the robot fork extender mechanism, and verifies its feasibility. In addition, the finite element software ANSYS workbench was used to analyze the static stress distribution of the robot's main stressed parts, optimize the structure, and ensure that the robot not only meets usage requirements but also facilitates manufacturing and assembly. The research and development of this robot hold significant promise for enhancing the level of laboratory safety management in universities. © 2024 ieee.

The recent research on nonlinear control systems tends to prioritize safety beyond stability, and control barrier functions (CBFs) have been gaining popularity as a CBF-based controller can theoretically ensure safety of control systems with the notion of set invariance. In this paper, we define a time-varying CBF (Tv-CBF) for a nonautonomous control-affine system with a human operator input to address a time-dependent safety constraint problem. Then, we propose a human assist control law using a Tv-CBF that satisfies time-dependent safety constraints. We also prove that solutions to an ordinary differential equation denoting control systems are forward complete by employing the proposed human assist controller. Lastly, the effectiveness of the proposed method is confirmed through computer simulation.

Finding patterns in large highly connected datasets is critical for value discovery in business development and scientific research. This work focuses on the problem of subgraph matching on streaming graphs, which provides utility in a myriad of real-world applications ranging from social network analysis to cybersecurity. Each application poses a different set of control parameters, including the restrictions for a match, type of data stream, and search granularity. The problem-driven design of existing subgraph matching systems makes them challenging to apply for different problem domains. This paper presents Mnemonic, a programmable system that provides a high-level API and democratizes the development of a wide variety of subgraph matching solutions. Importantly, Mnemonic also delivers key data management capabilities and optimizations to support real-time processing on long-running, high-velocity multi-relational graph streams. The experiments demonstrate the versatility of Mnemonic, as it outperforms several state-of-the-art systems by up to two orders of magnitude.

According to the needs of auditing work, efforts are made to develop suitable computer-aided auditing software to gradually change or enhance traditional auditing techniques and methods, which can better play the role of audit supervision. The purpose of this paper is to study the design and optimisation of computer-aided audit software based on fuzzy clustering algorithms. By analysing the technical difficulties of computer-aided auditing, this paper proposes the design concept of the project software. The improved fuzzy C-mean clustering algorithm DFCM and the fast audit steps of the project based on improved fuzzy clustering are specifically introduced, and the data processing methods of the system are described in detail, and the specific application of the project software is also presented. The experimental results show that the computer-aided audit software in this paper can be applied to calculate the audit price of the project to be audited and the software is feasible.

Automatic tumor or lesion segmentation is a crucial step in medical image analysis for computer-aided diagnosis. Although the existing methods based on convolutional neural networks (CNNs) have achieved the state-of-the-art performance, many challenges still remain in medical tumor segmentation. This is because, although the human visual system can detect symmetries in 2-D images effectively, regular CNNs can only exploit translation invariance, overlooking further inherent symmetries existing in medical images, such as rotations and reflections. To solve this problem, we propose a novel group equivariant segmentation framework by encoding those inherent symmetries for learning more precise representations. First, kernel-based equivariant operations are devised on each orientation, which allows it to effectively address the gaps of learning symmetries in existing approaches. Then, to keep segmentation networks globally equivariant, we design distinctive group layers with layer-wise symmetry constraints. Finally, based on our novel framework, extensive experiments conducted on real-world clinical data demonstrate that a group equivariant Res-UNet (called GER-UNet) outperforms its regular CNN-based counterpart and the state-of-the-art segmentation methods in the tasks of hepatic tumor segmentation, COVID-19 lung infection segmentation, and retinal vessel detection. More importantly, the newly built GER-UNet also shows potential in reducing the sample complexity and the redundancy of filters, upgrading current segmentation CNNs, and delineating organs on other medical imaging modalities.

To direct the far field radiation beam, phased array antenna systems require electronic phase shifters to supply various input signal phases in the individual elements. In this paper, a three-stage differential phase shifter that is compatible with phased array antenna systems operating at 9.75-10.25 (X band) GHz is proposed. The proposed phase shifter is designed in 180 nm CMOS process and consists of three identical varactor loaded LC stages. A Pi-network topology is used for the single stage phase shifter which consists of a fixed inductor and four varactors. Based on post layout simulation, the inductor value is optimized to include the inductance due to the metal signal lines. The stages are connected via 2-bit PMOS switches which controls the signal flow routes between the stages. The layout of the proposed phase shifter is completed and the signal line length and width connecting the phase-shifted signal to the output are kept the same to assure phase shift accuracy. In order to improve the return loss, input and output matching networks are also designed based on the impedance value from the post layout simulation. The phase response of the phase shifter is controlled using the 6-bit switching of the three stages and fine tuned by controlling the varactor control voltages. The proposed phase shifter achieves 0° - 360° phase shift with almost flat phase response over the 500 MHz bandwidth. © 2024 ieee.

Fashion design is a complex and difficult process that requires designers to possess professional knowledge and skills. Traditional clothing design methods have some bottlenecks, such as time cost, cost control, production efficiency, and so on. Therefore, this paper adopted a design and implementation method of computer-aided design (CAD) system based on virtual intelligent 3D (three-dimensional) clothing structure. The system adopts virtualization technology to set the clothing structure as a 3D model, and has a 3D visual interactive interface for designers to operate and adjust. The system also has intelligent functions, which can automatically calculate the size, material, structure and other information of clothing structure based on user input data and requirements. At the same time, the system can also automatically generate drawings of clothing parts and provide 3D printing output function, which has high practicality and operability. In the experimental test, the algorithm in this paper was verified to be performance by testing the time of designing drawings and user satisfaction. The data showed that the generation time of Feedforward neural network was the shortest, and the average generation time of virtual clothing design was 20.7ms. In the user satisfaction test of 40 tests, the user satisfaction of Three-cushion billiards and above accounted for 72.5%. It was ultimately discovered that the virtual 3D clothing structure CAD system can provide users with better intelligent services, improve design efficiency, provide personalized services, and provide users with a better experience. © 2023 ieee.
