In this paper, an improved dead-beat controller (DBC) for a single-phase LC-coupling hybrid active power filter (LC-HAPF) is proposed to achieve both low steady-state error and fast transient response. The conventional DBC has an inherent discretized and predictive error, which can increase the steady-state error. Thus, a signal correction technique is used to reduce the steady-state error. Moreover, the improved DBC is implemented with a coupling capacitor voltage observer to replace the voltage sensor, thus reducing the system cost. After that, the stability analysis and parameter design of the proposed improved DBC for the LC-HAPF are given in detail. Subsequently, to verify the effectiveness of the improved DBC, the simulation results are provided in comparison to the conventional DBC. © 2023 ieee.

In response to its stagnating productivity and growing demand for sustainability, the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry is increasingly pushing ahead regarding digitization and automation. Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Additive Manufacturing (AM) are two technologies that contribute significantly to this development. Although these technologies have similar basic principles — both are based on computer-aided methodologies and used for automation purposes — they have long been developed independently in the construction industry. However, recently, studies on integrating AM into BIM methodology have gained momentum. One approach is the Fabrication Information Modeling (FIM) methodology which aims at interfacing digital design with automated manufacturing by providing a fabrication-aware intermediate layer, a digital model that contains all the information necessary for automated fabrication. This study focuses on extending FIM by providing a new robot control methodology that can directly utilize FIM data to control an AM system and is better suited to extrusion-based concrete 3D printing needs. The proposed robot control method aims to be more flexible regarding the recalibration of printing parameters and prepares the basis for developing systems for automated quality control. © ISARC 2023. Rapid incorporation of renewable energy sources and power electronic components in the conventional power network has resulted in increased sub-synchronous oscillations (SSOs) in the power network. As a consequence, accurate and exhaustive monitoring of SSOs is pertinent for reliable system operation. This has necessitated the requirement of a revised notion of power system stability and control. In this regard, this paper presents a benchmark analysis in disturbance study by appropriately identifying the most qualified buses that should be co-analyzed to capture the disturbances present in the power network. Our analysis shows that the proposed approach is computationally much faster and offers a significantly reduced number of buses required for disturbance identification over the state-of-the-art, without compromising on the system disturbance identification ability. The theoretical results are validated using the PMU data generated through RSCAD simulation, with 100% identification of critical oscillation frequencies. © 2023 ieee.

We propose LightPC, a lightweight persistence-centric platform to make the system robust against power loss. LightPC consists of hardware and software subsystems, each being referred to as open-channel PMEM (OC-PMEM) and persistence-centric OS (PecOS). OC-PMEM removes physical and logical boundaries in drawing a line between volatile and non-volatile data structures by unshackling new memory media from conventional PMEM complex. PecOS provides a single execution persistence cut to quickly convert the execution states to persistent information in cases of a power failure, which can eliminate persistent control overhead. We prototype LightPC's computing complex and OC-PMEM using our custom system board. PecOS is implemented based on Linux 4.19 and Berkeley bootloader on the hardware prototype. Our evaluation results show that OC-PMEM can make user-level performance comparable with a DRAM-only non-persistent system, while consuming 73% lower power and 69% less energy. LightPC also shortens the execution time of diverse HPC, SPEC, and In-memory DB workloads, compared to traditional persistent systems by 4.3x, on average.

This paper investigates the collaborative optimization performance route on the reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS)-aided integrated satellite unmanned aerial vehicle-terrestrial network (IS-UAV-TN). It mainly has two primary challenges: long transmission paths with severe signal fading and the presence of obstacles along the wireless environment. To efficiently address above issues, it is assumed that RIS is deployed on the UAV to enable precise control over signal transmission, and non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) transmission strategies are employed at the transmitter. Based on the different transmission phases, a multi-vector optimization problem is proposed with the aim of maximizing the system achievable rate by optimizing the UAV path design, transmit beam and RIS passive phase shift. Especially the deep reinforcement learning (DRL)-based multi-vector deep deterministic policy gradient (MV-DDPG) algorithm, is utilized to achieve adaptive decision-making in non-deterministic wireless environments. Experimental results show that the proposed method has the ability to efficiently consider multiple optimization objectives designed compared to traditional comparison schemes. © 2023 ieee.

In this paper, an English teaching system based on remote network and embedded software is proposed. The purpose is to further improve the intelligence of English electronic education. This paper presents a design method of speech precision automatic comparison system based on multimode control. Firstly, the overall design framework of speech precision automatic comparison system is developed. TMS320VC5509A is chosen as the core control chip. Then the hardware design of the system is developed, including A/D circuit, external storage circuit, power-on loading circuit, system logic decoding control circuit and LCD interface design. Finally, the hardware assembly and software debugging of the system are completed. The experiment proves that this system has good reliability and good correction rate in English distance teaching.

Aiming at lacking a comprehensive storage system, probably leaking privacy when the data saves on someone else's server, without the entire extent of authority of controlling their own data, and unable to support the access of different devices in the rapid development of information technology, this paper analyses the storage needs of today's individuals and builds a personal data management system at a low cost, enable to support for most of life's devices through a variety of protocols, including mobile phones, computers, and many smart home devices. The system runs entirely local with public access via the peer-to-peer file transfer between devices, giving the individual the full control over the system and the greater privacy for personal data. © 2022 ieee.

Using the dimming control system, it is very convenient to control the lighting brightness of the lighting circuit according to the use requirements of different scenes at different times. It not only realizes the automatic control of lighting, but also creates and beautifies the light environment of the space inside and outside the building, and reduces the energy consumption and prolongs the service life of lamps. In view of this, the lighting condition model system of exhibition hall design based on computer aided design is put forward. Based on the optimization strategy of genetic algorithm, the visual comfort condition satisfied by the quantitative design of green lighting and the quantitative method for calculating the illumination intensity of green lighting are obtained. The system adopts ZigBee wireless network to realize data transmission, wireless monitoring, control and management among nodes of intelligent lighting system. As a bridge between the terminal and the server, the system gateway is responsible for monitoring information communication between ZigBee and Ethernet protocols. The server collects the monitoring information of the storage terminal and provides an interface for accessing and controlling the terminal. © 2021 ieee.

The Open University of China covers People's Republic of China's urban and rural areas, with its headquarters in Beijing and 45 provincial branches in each province, and more than 3500 learning centers were set up in different cities, counties and districts across the country. The Open University of China enrolls millions of students every year, students often ask questions about their majors, courses, and learning methods, and hope to receive responses from the university. The enrollment staff of each learning center not only need to answer relevant consultation questions during the student registration period, but also need to review the student registration application to confirm whether it meets the registration qualifications, usually requiring a significant investment of manpower costs. The large number of enrollment groups conflicts with the prescribed enrollment process and requirements, as well as limited staff and working hours. There is an urgent need to improve work efficiency and service quality through new technologies and applications. By building an intelligent enrollment system and developing applications such as intelligent question answering and intelligent push to traditional enrollment systems, students can achieve online self-service registration, personalized professional selection, intelligent review of student qualifications, and automatic circulation, while improving efficiency and standardizing the process to improve enrollment quality. © 2023 ieee.

The Indonesian Robot Contest (KRI) is a design and engineering competition in the field of robotics. One of the competition divisions is KRSTI or Indonesian Dance Robot Contest. ERISA is a humanoid robot developed by PENS students to participate in such contests. One of the assessment points of the contest is the stability of the robot's balance in each zone, where each zone has different field characteristics, which makes the robot prone to falling. This paper focuses on creating a balance system for the ERISA humanoid robot. In maintaining this balance, a tilt detection system is needed for the robot's position and a balancing system when the robot is about to fall. Using the slope value, the mechanical robot servo control equation is manipulated using PD system. Therefore, the robot independently shifts its position in reverse to the direction of fall. The degree of the inclined surface is set to vary from 2° up to the maximum capability of the robot. The test results show that the addition of the control system balance gives the ERISA robot the ability to walk on an inclined surface up to 10° for the pitch parameter and 6° for the roll parameter. © 2023 ieee.
