NVMe (Non-Volatile Memory Express) is a protocol designed specifically for ssd (Solid State Drive), which has significantly improved the performance of ssd storage devices. However, the traditional kernel-space IO path hinders the performance of NVMe ssddevices. In this paper, a userspace raw file system (URFS) based on NVMe ssd is proposed. Through the design of the user-space multi-process shared cache, multiple applications can share access to ssd to reduce the amount of ssd access;NVMe-oriented log -free data layout and multi -granularity IO queue elastic separation technology are used to improve system performance and throughput. Experiments show that, compared to traditional file systems, URFS performance is improved by more than 23% in CDN (Content Delivery Network) scenarios, and URFS performance is improved more in small file scenarios and read-intensive scenarios.

This paper presents a new decoding algorithm that improves the reliability of probe-based storage devices, that use multiple, simultaneously accessed parallel fields, when they are affected by burst errors. The presented algorithm exploits the parallelism of the multiple storage fields and the used data allocation method and flags symbols as erasures using the error locations revealed by the initial errors-only decoding attempt. Numerical results demonstrate the performance improvement that is achieved by the proposed algorithm.

This paper presents an efficient low complexity pulse shape for multiband impulse radio ultra-wideband (IRUWB) system. The generated pulse is based on combining two triangular pulses. The first one is characterized by positive amplitude where the second have smallest negative amplitude. The simulated pulse has a cross-correlation magnitude with the main lobe of the reference pulse of 0.97 for a period of at least 0,5ns and side lobes amplitude of 0.22. The spectrum of the pulse fit easily the relative PSD mask. The simulations results show that the amplitude of the added pulse should be less than 15% versus the peak amplitude of the main pulse. The major advantage approved by this new shape is the improvement of the spectrum occupancy versus the popular shape. In addition, it is suitable for low-complexity and low power design.

Inductive power transfer provides interesting possibilities for supplying movable devices. In this paper, an analysis of the inductive link for a multi coil system consisting of an array of air-core transmitter coils connected in series is carried out. An analytic model for the system is proposed and the corresponding equations are solved numerically. These equations are verified then by simulation. The good fitting between analytic and simulation results implies the validity of the proposed model. The theoretical analysis is first highlighted to extract the critical parameters in order to achieve a large powering range and relative good efficiency. For the same reason, a series-series resonant tank is considered for both sending and receiving sides. A method to improve both link and power efficiencies is also proposed by setting an optimal load at the receiving side. The investigation shows that the system is capable to send 239milliwatts over 30 mm coil to coil distance and reaching 71.42% coil to coil efficiency and 14% as total efficiency.

Nowadays, power demand has increased to a large extent. But due to scarcity of resources, transmission and distribution systems are not capable of fulfilling the unbound demand. The loss existing within the power lines makes the situation more unfavorable to transfer maximum power. One of the most effective ways to reduce these line losses is the implementation of a Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS). In this paper, the FACTS devices are utilized for reducing the fault current in the system. This also increases the performance of the switchgear and protection equipment. Further larger power can be transmitted through the system with the same switchgear and protection equipment due to reduced fault current. The performance of Static Synchronous Series Compensator (SSSC), Static Synchronous Compensator (STATCOM), and Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC) is analyzed in this case. The STATCOM and UPFC show remarkable performance in fault current reduction. So, besides the voltage regulation and power flow control, STATCOM and UPFC can also ensure the fault current reduction in the power system. The feasibility of the system model is analyzed in MATLAB/Simulink environment.
