Considering a large scatter of the measured data two approximation tools using artificial neural networks have been tested for approximation of carbon monoxide emissions dependence on oxygen concentration in the flue gas: AForge. Neuro library and Neural Network Fitting Tool of Matlab. The comparable results of approximation have been obtained by testing of both approximation tools on the off-line measured data.

This paper presents a dynamic model representing the rigid body motion of a four wheel steer and four wheel drive (4WS4WD) vehicle which also takes into account the rotational dynamics of the individual wheels as well as the tyre terrain interactions. It also presents a modified pursuit algorithm taking into account the kinematic constraints as well as a decentralized wheel propulsion control system. Simulation results are presented to show the model validation and the successful implementation of the path tracking algorithm.

It's difficult to achieve the target temperature control for the continuous casting billet with regular voltage control curve in electromagnetic induction heating process of hot rolling production line. This paper first analyzed billet electromagnetic induction heating mechanism, determined the factors which caused the billet temperature rise, and applied artificial neural network to establish the temperature prediction model. Then, with decoupling the relationship between the billet heating conditions and the voltage curve, this paper applied the random search method to optimize the voltage control curve based on the prediction model. Finally, the actual trial showed that the optimized voltage control curve could achieve a high precision control of the target temperature

The main contribution of this work is the application of delay-dependent adaptive control techniques to control nonlinear continuous stirred tank reactor (CSTR) model with state delay. The delay-dependent adaptive control problem is first formulated and stabilizing adaptive control algorithms are developed and then applied to the CSTR process model. The CSTR model includes a nonlinear perturbation which is assumed to have a norm that is bounded by a scaled norm of the state vector. Here, we consider two cases where the weight of the state norm is assumed to be known and unknown. Simulation results show the efficacy of the delay-dependent adaptive control schemes in controlling the CSTR nonlinear process model.
