Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) signals are generally acquired using sequential 2D imaging techniques, which unavoidably results in a temporal offset between slices. Therefore, exact timing is essential for fMRI signal *** order to make up for this timing difference, slice-timing correction (i.e. temporal data interpolation) has been used as an fMRI pre-processing step for more than fifteen years. In this paper, we propose a new slice-timing correction method based on hemodynamic response and kernel function after analyzing and studying the limitations of the traditional correction methods. Experiments on simulation and empirical data show the proposed method has better interpolation accuracy than the existing methods.

Brain responses to visual stimulus can provide information about cognitive process or intentions. Several studies show that it is feasible to use stimulus-dependent modulation of the evoked brain responses after gaze movements (i.e., Fixation Related Potential, FRP) to predict the interested object of human. However, the performance of the state-of the-art shallow models for FRP classification is still far from satisfactory. Recent years, Riemannian geometry based on deep learning has gained its popularity in many image and video processing tasks, thanks to their ability to learn appropriate statistical representations while respecting Riemannian geometry of the data in such fields. In this paper, we have investigated a Riemannian network for classifying FRP in guided visual search task. Experiment results showed that the Riemannian network improved classification performance significantly in comparison to the shallow methods.

This paper mainly studies the problem of finite time switching synchronization for four real chaotic systems with combination mode. Firstly, we analyze multi-switching synchronization behavior in signal switching transmission, and the definition of finite-time combination synchronization is given by choosing the preset switching rules. And then, a novel finite time controller is designed to realize fast synchronization, and the sufficient conditions are given. Finally, numerical examples verify the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme.

This paper focuses on the research of a piecewise structure of electric vehicle road dynamic wireless charging method, which uses multiple transmitting coils at the transmitter to realize the wireless power supply for the running electric vehicle. Based on the structure of dynamic wireless charging system of electric vehicle with magnetically coupled resonance, the equivalent circuit theory is used to model and analyze the system. A method of receiving end location based on photoelectric detection is proposed. The receiving end position is determined by photoelectric diffuse reflectance sensor, and then the transmitting coil of corresponding position is opened to realize receiving. Real-time charging. Maxwell and Simulink software are used to verify and analyze the system. The magnetic field distribution law of the system using positioning control is determined, and the feasibility of the positioning control method is proved. © 2019 ieee.

The electric vehicle has the potential to realize environmental protection transportation. The adoption of dynamic wireless charging technology is more in line with the development trend of the future society. Based on the structure of dynamic wireless charging system of electric vehicle with magnetic coupling resonance, the equivalent circuit theory is used to model and analyze the system. To ensure the stable charging of the load, a step-down converter circuit is added before the load of the receiver, and a sliding mode controller of leakage loop modulation is designed to control the high-frequency power switch, the output current is smoothly controlled, and the output power is smoothly controlled. The simulation results show that the designed sliding mode controller has the characteristics of small charging current error and small charge fluctuation, as well as good load adaptability and offset adaptability. © 2019 ieee.

In order to solve the problem of stranded passengers and foreign bodies between platform and high-speed railway, between platform doors and high-speed railway, a safety detection and protection system and method based on target detection and recognition arc proposed in this paper. Firstly, the image features of stranded passengers and foreign bodies are obtained by target detection, feature extraction and image matching. Secondly, the central control system of the protection system completes the protection instruction, and realizes the protection. Finally, on the basis of the prototype test, the line test is completed. The test results show that this method can not only effectively reduce the operation time of image target recognition, but also judge whether there is a foreign body between the train door and the platform, as well as the state of the train entering and leaving the station, and make intelligent judgment and decision, so as to effectively ensure the safe and energy-saving operation of the railway and the safety of passengers, as well as the safety, reliability and availability of the system.

Security-constrained economic dispatch (SCED) is one of the most important problems in power system operations. Corrective SCED (CSCED) is a type of SCED that considers corrective capabilities of the power system and adjusts base case decisions according to post-contingency states. Because of the large scale of the CSCED problem, it is difficult for purely model-based approaches to meet the time limits in real-time practical operations. To leverage historical operation data, this paper develops a novel hybrid model-based and data-driven framework to accelerate the solution process of CSCED. In the offline stage, our previous model-based contingency filtering approach is utilized to label active statuses of contingencies against historical net load samples. In the online stage, a multi-label classifier based on the K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) algorithm quickly generates an active contingency set corresponding to the real-time net load. This active contingency set can be used to calculate the economic dispatch decisions in one shot. In addition, the accuracy of our framework can be further improved by adding an optional contingency filtering procedure at the end. Numerical testing results on the ieee RTS-96 system demonstrate the accuracy and computational efficiency of the hybrid framework as compared to a purely model-based approach.

In recent years, topics around machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) have (re-)gained a lot of interest due to high demand in industrial automation applications in various areas such as medical, automotive and space and the increasing computational power offered by technology advancements. One common task for these applications is object recognition/classification whose input is usually an image taken from camera and output is whether an object is present and the class of the object. In industrial pipeline, this task could be used to identify possible defects in products;in automotive application, such task could be deployed to detect pedestrians for Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS). When the task is safety-critical as in automotive application, the reliability of the task implementation is crucial and has to be evaluated before final deployment. On the other hand, Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) devices are gaining increasing attention in the hardware acceleration part for machine learning applications due to their high flexibility and increasing computational power. When the SRAM-based FPGA is considered, Single Event Upset (SEU) in configuration memory induced by radiation particle is one of the major concerns even at sea level. In this paper, we present the fault injection results on a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) implementation on Xilinx SRAM-based FPGA which demonstrate that though there exists built-in redundancy in CNN implementation one SEU in configuration memory can still impact the task execution results while the possibility of Single Event Multiple Upsets (SEMU) must also be taken into consideration.

This paper is dedicated to a problem of surge speed control for an autonomous surface vehicle (ASV) powered by an electrical motor. The surge dynamics, propeller model, and motor model are unknown. A surge speed controller is developed based on a finite-set model predictive control and a neural predictor design. Firstly, two predictors based on neural networks are developed to estimate the unknown nonlinear functions existing in electrical motor model, propeller model and surge dynamics. The stability analysis is provided on the basis of input-to-state stability (ISS) theory. Then, a model predictive control scheme is proposed for surge speed control with a possible finite voltage control set and a predefined cost function. The simulation results are provided to illustrate the validity of the proposed surge velocity controller for the ASV.

Some call it the Fourth Industrial Revolution, some Robolution. We are living in the age of automation technology, robotics and artificial intelligence. The use of artificial intelligence in our everyday lives is on the increase and covers many fields of activity from production assistance in factories to vacuum cleaners in the household, telepresence robotics, self-driving cars/buses and flying drones. Generally, we can compare this revolution with those of computers and the Internet. But Robolution raises numerous legal questions and encounters difficulties of acceptance in both the industrial and social sectors. There are serious problems with the claim that conscious robots should have rights just as humans do, and this is what this paper plans to explore. The aim of our paper was threefold: first, to define the robot;second, to discuss robot rights issues in general;and, third, to examine the acceptance of robots from the Slovak citizen's perspective. The data of the survey were collected in August 2018 from e-mail interviews with 647 persons. The results show there is a higher acceptance of the use of robots in everyday life (health issues, self-driving cars/buses) and in households than in the work environment. Among the respondents, 61% think that dependence on machines and desktop screens should be reduced. Our results show that attitudes toward robots are positive in many sectors. Yet there is a need for a comprehensive strategy of robot handling and robot rights to help us gain a better understanding of robot acceptance.
