This paper proposes a Lyapunov-based digital method that consists of main circuit and power flow controls. First, state equations for the main circuit by the complex vector theory and power flow equations based on a low-pass filter are derived. Two separate Lyapunov functions of digital types are defined for the subsystems because of different time rates, and their time differences are controlled to be negative definite. The output current reference generated from the powercontrol is given to the main control. The control design method and an application example are shown.

Renewable energy microgrids with solar photovoltaic sources and batteries are becoming more common in small-scale power systems. This paper analyzes an improves a recently proposed three-port DC-DC converter (TPC) for use in microgrids with a common DC bus. Based on the previous modeling analysis of the topology, a nonlinear controller is proposed in this paper to linearize the original circuit model. A system-level control scheme is provided to achieve the energy flow regulation. The simulation model is built in MATLAB/Simulink to validate power flow control and its response improvements.
