The characteristics of real time operating system (RTOS) are analyzed and its advantages in design of embedded computer numerical control system (CNC system) are highlighted, according to comparisons with general operating systems. In this study, RTOS μC/OS - II is introduced in the embedded hardware platform of CNC system based on ARM and Motion control Chip. Furthermore, the software architecture of the CNC system is constructed and tasks of CNC system are given the PRI and task schedule is analyzed. Lastly, an application example is given. © 2010 IEEE.

In the digital processing of mould, this paper presents a new method to improve the accuracy of the edge of mould with optical scanners and three coordinate measuring machine. According to researching lots of IGES files of CAD/CAM systems, this paper presents a method for transforming reference point datum to IGES file. The processing system can transform the data measured in different coordinate systems into one coordinate system based on the theory that three datum points construct an orthogonal coordinate system. There is no distortion in mould because of the rigid transform. Also the processing quality is guaranteed. © 2010 IEEE.

A set of three-node MOST (Media Oriented systems Transport) audio system is designed in this work, which adopts the C8051F043 single chip as the controller, and OS8104 chip as the transceiver of network. In sequence, a hardware circuit diagram of the audio node and software procedure diagram of the control node and audio node are shown, realizing the transmission of audio data for three-node MOST network. In addition, a set of experiments were carried out in lab, through the comparison between the achieved data wave-forms output and the input one, the properties of synchronization and integrity were gained as expected, which presents its universal application in the practice. The work can be used in the design of vehicle audio transmission network. © 2010 IEEE.

In dynamic path planning of multi-robot systems, to better resolve the behavior fusion problem, Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) method was proposed to confirm the weight of each behavior and thus the fusion of the basic behavior was achieved. The basic behavior was devised through the improved behavior dynamics. The proposed arithmetic was simulated by using matlab. The simulation results show that the method may produce the smooth path for the robot and may reduce the probability caused by hard handoff between the different behaviors. © 2010 IEEE.

In an electric vehicle power system, a step-up converter is required to increase the voltage from 24 V to 270 V. To achieve such a high voltage boost ratio, there are several challenges that must be overcome: tackling the leakage inductance of the isolation transformer;reducing the voltage stress on the power switches;and guaranteeing fast dynamic response and high efficiency. Thus, innovative approaches are needed. A novel two-stage step-up DC/DC converter has been developed. This device has the advantages of high power density, easy control, high efficiency, high transformer utilization, and fast dynamic response. The two-stage step-up DC/DC converter is composed of a boost converter cascaded with a push-pull converter. The boost diode and filter capacitor, as found in conventional boost converters, are eliminated. All switches achieve soft-switching by using a simple auxiliary circuit. Therefore, this novel converter is well-suited for applications where the input voltage level is significantly lower than the output voltage, for example, in the areas of electric vehicle power supplies, communication systems, aeronautic power, and power systems. Analysis, prototype development, and experimental tests have been conducted, and the results are presented in this paper. The results confirm the performance and features of the novel converter. © 2008 IEEE.

Starting up and/or low speed operations are imperative for double-fed induction machine (DFIM) in DFIM-based driving system or DFIM-based wind turbine system under low speed wind conditions. Compared with others, the rotor-side driving control strategy with stator-winding short circuited can operate DFIM, without extra equipments, at low speed very well. The operation theory is analyzed, based on which the equivalent circuits and the corresponding mathematical models are presented and discussed. According to the models, built in the paper, vector control for rotor-side driving control strategy is proposed, with which, the decoupled control between the torque current component and the excited current component of DFIM rotor currents is achieved. As result, the dynamic and stable control performances of DFIM-based systems are improved. To validate the proposed control strategy, a 2MW DFIM-based driving system is simulated. © 2010 IEEE.

A new global optimization algorithm is proposed that solves a class of fractional Problems Management (P). In order to generate a tighter linear relaxations for each subproblem and to ensure convergence to a global optimum. The proposed global optimization algorithm which connects the branch and bound method with the cutting-plane method successfully is convergent to the global minimum through the successive refinement of the linear relaxation of the feasible region of the objective function and the solutions of a series of linear relaxation Problems Management. Actually our result is slightly more general.
