The traditional approach to coding of noisy and distorted images assumes preliminary enhancement and restoring of images and only then in fact their coding. In the given work novel technique is proposed, where the indicated procedures are combined in the optimum algebraic coding. At the heart of the offered approach is the optimization of coordinate basis of an image representation. If is shown, that the required optimum properties have the. eigenfunctions of the Fisher's information operator known in thc statistical theory of estimation. These functions satisfying defined criterions of a selection are called in the paper as Principal Iinformative Components (PIC). PIC-projection technique for improvement of an arbitrary image decomposition is proposed. The given technique allows at anyone primary physical representation of an image to decrease a statistical errror or of its coding oil a noisy data.

This paper proposes the FULL-COVERAGE summarizer: an efficient, information retrieval oriented method to extract non-redundant sentences from text for summarization purposes. Our method leverages existing information Retrieval technology by extracting key-sentences on the premise that the relevance of a sentence is proportional to its similarity to the whole document. We show that our method can produce sentence-based summaries that are up to 78% smaller than the original text with only 3% loss in retrieval performance.

This paper presents a new generalized particle approach (GPA) to optimally allot the resources and jobs for grid computing(1). The proposed GPA transforms the allocation problem of grid resources and grid jobs into the kinematics and dynamics of massive particles in a force-field. This paper discusses the construction, dynamics and properties of the GPA and corresponding algorithm. The GPA has many advantages in terms of the parallelism, multi-objective optimization, multi-type coordination, and the ability to deal with a variety of complex issues, such as the autonomy, personality, congestion, failure of distinct grid facilities. The simulations have shown the effectiveness and suitability of the proposed approach for grid computing.

Grid computing is a major research area with increasing impact on the business world. Substantial work has been spend on improving the grid middleware but the gap between the high expectations and available real-life grid applications is still remarkable. There is a significant emerging risk of creating a new hype which may result in disillusion and disappointment. Therefore, this paper emphasises the urgence of providing reliable grid-based solutions -- regardless of their scientific or commercial domain in order to get grid computing to a mature state with wide-spread acceptance. A new technique for optimally encoding a given source statistical properties of which are described by the first-order model is introduced. The calculation of codeword lengths is based on construction of a new source with statistics that is determined by the consecutive redistribution of the probabilities of symbols in accordance with their original probabilities at each stage of the encoding. The proposed method performs equally well for different orders of symbol probabilities. While codewords are generated by a, separate combinatorial procedure, the overall computational cost of the proposed method is lower than that for the Huffman code.

Nowadays many data grid applications need to manage and process a huge amount of data distributed across multiple grid nodes and stored into heterogeneous databases. Grids encourage the publication of scientific data in a more open manner than is currently the case, and many e-Science projects have an urgent need to interconnect legacy and independently operated databases through a set of data access and integration services. In the data grid area a set of dynamic and adaptive services could address specific issues related to automatic data management aiming at both providing high performance, and fully exploiting a grid infrastructure. In this paper we introduce the Grid-DBMS concept, a framework for dynamic data management in grid environments, highlighting its requirements, architecture, components and services.
