This paper presents a novel modification of integer arithmetic code, which performs compression and encryption at the same time. It is quite different from the randomized arithmetic code (RAC), the interval splitting arithmetic code (ISAC), and the secure arithmetic code (SAC). In security, we apply the Pseudo-Random Bit Generator (PRBG) and the Secure Hash Algorithm (SHA-256) to construct the key vector. Each bit of the key vector known to both the encoder and decoder is used to determine whether the source intervals respectively allocated to each of the different symbols are needed to be adjusted prior to encoding each new symbol. Experimental results indicate that our proposed code does not compromise the coding efficiency.

GEZGIN-2 is a real-time image processing subsystem, currently being developed for RASAT, the second small satellite to be launched by TUBITAK-BILTEN, in 2007. It is an advanced version of the GEZGIN payload, implementing JPEG 2000 image compression algorithm and currently flying on the BILSAT-1 satellite. The main enhancements in GEZGIN-2 are the integration of the full processing path of JPEG 2000 algorithm in a single Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) for increased processing performance and high speed data links complying with the ESA Spacewire standard, for data transfer at a rate of 100 Mbps. In addition to JPEG2000, GEZGIN-2 facilitates image pre-processing for cloud/sea detection and image/data encryption implemented on a daughter-board called GOLGE. As in GEZGIN, GEZGIN-2 allows for adjustment of compression ratio for different mission times by means of run-time supplied parameters and full reconfigurability in orbit.

In this paper, a novel selective encryption image scheme based on JPEG2000 is proposed, which encrypts only the code-blocks corresponding to some sensitive precincts. In order to improve the security level we introduce the permutation of codeblocks contributing in the selected precincts. Symmetric encryption AES with CFB mode is used to encrypt swapped codeblocks. The idea of combining permutation and selective encryption is used in order to minimize the amount of processed data encryption while ensuring the best possible degradation through the permutation. The proposed process encryption doesn't introduce superfluous JPEG2000 markers in the protected codestream, i.e, the protected codestream format is compliant to JPEG2000 codestream one. It keeps file format and compression ratio unchanged and doesn't degrade the original error robustness. The proposed scheme works with any standard ciphers and introduces negligible computational cost.

This paper addresses the important need for security measures in the transmission of medical images to ensure the confidentiality of sensitive patient information. Leveraging a synergistic combination of advanced cryptography and steganography techniques, including DNA-based AES encryption and LSB embedding, the proposed system ensures the secure hiding and transmission of patient data. Furthermore, Discrete Wavelet Transform compression is employed to optimize data size while preserving integrity and also applied deep learning models to the HAM10000 dataset. Experimental evaluations prove the superiority and efficacy of the suggested strategy in safeguarding medical data against unauthorized access and ensuring confidentiality. This work contributes significantly to the advancement of secure medical data transmission systems, addressing security concerns and regulatory requirements in the healthcare domain.

image classification is an essential part of computer vision. A lot of approaches, in particular, based on applying convolutional neural networks have been proposed. In this paper, we investigate the impact of discrete atomic compression (DAC) on state-of-the-art models. The DAC algorithm ensures low resource intensive image encryption and compression features. Such a combination makes its usage promising, especially taking into account a huge number of digital images and current data protection requirements. DAC has lossy and lossless compression modes. The first one provides a higher compression ratio in combination with distortions. The aim of this research is to answer the following question: how does quality loss, which is introduced by DAC, affect the efficiency of the MobileNetV2, VGG16, VGG19, ResNet50, NASNetMobile and NASNetLarge models? It is shown that the difference between classifying images before and after lossy DAC-compression is insignificant.

GEZGİN-2 is the image processing subsystem of RASAT, an earth-observing small satellite which has been developed, built and qualified by TÜBİTAK-UZAY for a LEO mission. GEZGİN-2 is responsible for real-time compression of multi-spectral images acquired by the push-broom imagers of RASAT, before being transferred to the Solid State Data Recorders on-board the satellite. By applying compression to image data prior to recording, on-board storage space and downlink communication bandwidth of RASAT is more efficiently utilized. GEZGİN-2 realizes its image processing tasks through a fully integrated application specific digital architecture, delivering a processing rate of 55Mbps and consuming 6 Watts. As all subsystems of RASAT, GEZGİN-2 has been implemented with commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) components but qualified for its LEO mission through thermal vacuum cycling and vibrations tests compliant to ESA specifications. GEZGİN-2 has been successfully integrated on RASAT in year 2010 and is ready for launch.

The rapid development of worthy internet bandwidth transfers the digital multimedia objects to remote computer system instantaneously. The advent of digital technologies makes possible to create multiple identical copies of the original video. These two revolutionary changes in technologies exploited by malicious user also to make false claim for ownership protection, copyright protection, copy control and many more issues. The proposed technique suggested an innovative method by embedding the different segments of scrambled watermark in the extracted motion features of the video. The encryption key used to encrypt the watermark is depend upon the features of video and it always different for each different video. The scheme is robust and imperceptible enough to secure the watermark embedded into the video object. The outcome reveals that the scheme is robust to intentional and unintentional image and video specific attacks considered to occur frequently in nature. The superiority of the algorithm is that it found better robustness against compression attack.

Digital communication facilitates us to transmission of data from transmission station to receiver station. Digital data required different multimedia techniques for transferring and maintaining the quality of digital data. As we know that, digital data are in various formats like text, audio, video, image, graphics, and message or in animated format. During transmission of digital data through channel, digital data requires of security as well as copyright protection. In this paper, 2-D digital still image is used for experimental purpose. There are variety of techniques and algorithms which can provide security and copyright protection services. The combination of DWT and DCT digital watermarking technique is used to provide copyright protection service and security services can be provided by AES technique using 256 bits key. The Combination of digital image watermarking and AES technique provides authenticity, copyright protection, and security to digital image against different attacks like Cropping, Gaussian noise, Salt and pepper noise, JPEG compression, Median filtering and Rotation attack.

本文提出一种安全可靠的多媒体传输方案 ,将多媒体编码过程与认证过程相结合 ,信道编码过程与加密过程相结合 ,既实现了对多媒体敏感区域的认证功能 ,又实现了对整个数据流的加密保护 .其中 ,认证过程对敏感数据进行数字签名 ,并将此签名嵌入敏感区域 ,它可以检测出恶意篡改或传输错误 ;信道编码加密过程是将纠错编码与混沌流密码相结合 ,同时具有纠错功能和加密功能 .理论分析可见 ,认证和加密过程都与编码过程相结合 ,计算复杂度低 ,而且保持了信道编码的容错能力 .实验结果表明 ,此方案具有较高的安全性 ,适合多媒体数据的安全传输 .
