This paper presents an algorithmic approach for efficiency tests of deconvolution algorithms in astronomic imageprocessing. Due to the existence of noise in astronomical data there is no certainty that a mathematically exact result of stellar deconvolution exists and iterative or other methods such as aperture or PSF fitting photometry are commonly used. Iterative methods are important namely in the case of crowded fields (e.g., globular clusters). For tests of the efficiency of these iterative methods on various stellar fields, information about the real fluxes of the sources is essential. For this purpose a simulator of artificial images with crowded stellar fields provides initial information on source fluxes for a robust statistical comparison of various deconvolution methods. The "GlencoeSim" simulator and the algorithms presented in this paper consider various settings of Point-Spread Functions, noise types and spatial distributions, with the aim of producing as realistic an astronomical optical stellar image as possible. mmWave frequencies, being considered for 5G systems, have the potential to provide Gb/s data rates utilizing large bandwidth (GHz) of available spectrum. However, the use of mmWave frequencies comes at the cost of increased power consumption due to the use of large antenna arrays with beamforming, sampling signals with GHz of bandwidth and baseband signal processing operations at Gb/s data rates. In this article, we explore the power consumption issue for mmWave 5G systems and propose power efficient signal processing architectures and algorithms in order to help mitigate power consumption at both the transmitter and the receiver. Two power efficient signal processing architectures are proposed that efficiently channelize the large bandwidth for low power. Signal processingalgorithms are finally presented that investigate low power operation in the system by providing dynamic beamwidth support, peak-to-average power ratio reduction, bandwidth adaptation for control and data transmissions and low power channel decoding.

This paper shows the results of the automatic design of a generic heat sink, through a morphogenesis algorithm done in Matlab. This algorithm is based on two-dimensional fractal images, generated by Lindenmayer systems, which create the heat sink shape. Those shapes iteratively evolve through a genetic algorithm in order to maximize their heat dissipation capability, estimating it through measurements of their surface and volume. Evaluation process was supported by imageprocessingalgorithms. Finally finite elements simulations are carried out in order to determine the real heat dissipation capability of each design and thus obtaining some valid heat sink shapes.

Both mathematical background and algorithms are detailed. Some of the most efficient ant-based algorithms used for imageprocessing are also described. It is also introduced a new theoretical hybrid Ant Colony Optimization model in order to enhance medical imageprocessing. The newly introduced model uses artificial ants with different levels of "sensitivity" and also a model of "direct" communication as in Multi-Agent systems.

Face recognition from the real data, capture images, sensor images and database images is challenging problem due to the wide variation of face appearances, illumination effect and the complexity of the image background. Face recognition is one of the most effective and relevant applications of imageprocessing and biometric systems. In this paper we are discussing the face recognition methods, algorithms proposed by many researchers using artificial neural networks (ANN) which have been used in the field of imageprocessing and pattern recognition. How ANN will used for the face recognition system and how it is effective than another methods will also discuss in this paper. There are many ANN proposed methods which give overview face recognition using ANN.
