This project intends to use 6LoWPAN technology to display the geographical location, temperature, humidity and other information of each cold chain storage node in real time. In this way, the electronic temperature and humidity of the cold chain library can be intelligently controlled. MSP430 is used as a microprocessor, and temperature and humidity sensors SHT11 and nRF24L01 are used as external devices to realize data detection and transmission. The cold chain logistics warehousing operation flow model combined with UML and multicolor set was constructed, and the model structure and time accessibility were analyzed. The expected execution time of the job flow model before and after optimization is compared. The effectiveness of the model optimization is verified. © 2023 IEEE.

Adaptive Asynchronous Gossip Algorithms for Consensus in Heterogeneous sensor networks

The Internet of Things (IoT) connects a wide range of sensors and devices in environments that are often dynamic and resource-constrained, where efficient distributed solutions are essential for ensuring robust and scalable operation. This paper presents a novel adaptive consensus algorithm, tailored for distributed signal processing in heterogeneous sensor networks, with a focus on distributed estimation and target tracking. The algorithm addresses the challenge posed by networks where intelligent sensors have limited sensing, computation and communication capabilities, resulting in diverse quality of locally available information, and leading to neighbor-based information exchanges. It employs asynchronous gossip protocols to randomly exchange information between nodes, ensuring robustness to time synchronization and network topology uncertainties, while limiting computational and communication costs. The adaptation mechanism operates in two complementary ways. Firstly, we account for variations in the quality of local processing results, ensuring that asymptotic behavior of the consensus scheme accurately reflects this diversity. Secondly, we introduce a novel adaptation of the rates at which nodes initiate communication, using the available local information. This enables fast information dissemination, and provides a solution that is both effective and efficient. We show that, under appropriate network connectivity assumptions, the results obtained by the algorithm converge to the desired asymptotic values in the mean square sense. Numerical simulations demonstrate the algorithm's properties and effectiveness, particularly in modeling visual surveillance networks where fixed cameras are augmented by moving drones to extend the coverage area. © 2025 IEEE.

The problem of reporting data to the sink with minimum latency is one of the most important operations in applications of wireless sensor networks (WSNs). In previous studies, each sensor in WSNs is either assumed to share one common channel or have only one sensing ability. However, in reality, sensors may have both abilities to choose different channels for communication and generate multiple types of data. Therefore, in this paper, we study the problem of finding a minimum latency scheduling for data aggregation in WSNs when each sensor has multiple channels for communication and can generate multiple types of sensed data. An algorithm that can be used to find a feasible solution is therefore proposed for the problem. © 2022 IEEE.

In traditional launch vehicle systems, a centralized data acquisition approach is followed, where various sensors are directly connected to a data acquisition system (DAQ) which supplies the excitation signal to the sensor and also does the job of filtering, signal conditioning, digitizing and packetization of the sensor signal which is then sent to Telemetry Package which in turn transmits this information to the ground stations via RF Signals. As the sensors and signal processing system are not collocated, there is a large amount of cabling from the sensor to the DAQ with power and signal causing weight penalty and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) related issues. A failure of DAQ results in disruption of the entire sensor network. A smart sensor approach is reported in literature, in which the team developed a smart sensor integrated with an ADC and Microcontroller which transmits the data over an RS-485 Bus. Though this approach solves some of the aforesaid problems but needs additional powerlines distribution and suffers from undefined protocol. This paper proposes the use of Controller Area Network (CAN) Over Powerline (DC-BUS) bus for supplying power and acquiring data from the sensors and distributing the data acquisition resulting in a more reliable and robust sensor network for Launch Vehicles.

In this paper we present four new algorithms for solving Minimum Base Problem (MBP) which is known to be NP-complete. The problem arises in wide or dense sensor networks in which a huge number of sensors provides a highly redundant source of information and should be reduced for further processing. In many cases a proper selection of nonredundant subset of the set of all sensors is reasonable both from economical point of view and the computational complexity of processing vast input data by software or hardware. Both exact and approximate algorithms are to be developed and applied for this task. In addition a hybrid metaheuristic shown.

In this paper, an adaptive neural tracking control design is investigated for uncertain multiagent systems (MASs) with actuator dead zone and sensor faults. The adaptive control technique based on neural networks is employed to handle the uncertainty in the systems, which, however, results in a bounded tracking error from most existing works. To achieve the asymptotic tracking performance, we proposed a direct adaptive strategy via the tuning function method. Technically, a Lyapunov function with a series of smooth functions is designed, which benefits proposing of an asymptotic controller. Then, under the framework of direct adaptive control, an inverse compensation scheme, as well as a fault-tolerant mechanism, are considered for disposing of the actuator dead zone and sensor failures. As a result, user-preset tracking performance is achieved and the system error in the MASs converges to a predefined range. An example in the simulation section illustrates the effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2023 Technical Committee on Control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

A lower extremity exoskeleton for the right leg is assembled using 3D printed soft plastic parts within a semi-rigid frame and structure balancing the rigid and soft flexible components. One leg has been assembled at this time allowing us to test the function of the mechanical system's frame and structure. The comfort and safety of the exoskeleton is important for increasing the time the exoskeleton can be tolerated by a patient. The knee is the largest and most complicated of the lower extremity joints. This exoskeleton joint accommodates the rotational and sliding movement of the femur at the knee to increase the comfort level by allowing for the inherent anatomical motion of the knee. This is often not taken into consideration for most lower extremity orthopedic braces, exoskeletons, or prosthetics. Surface EMGs and IMUs are utilized as input sensors for the exoskeleton control system. Myo-Ware EMG/IMU sensors from Thalmic labs originally designed for the upper extremity must be adapted for our lower extremity exoskeleton. Pneumatic artificial muscles and Bowdoin cables controlled by electric motors are incorporated to assist movement as needed. The EMG/IMU input data is modified and synchronized by a supervised machine learning sensor fusion algorithm. EMG and IMU characteristics help reduce noise and synchronize input data. A reinforcement unsupervised learning (RL) algorithm determines intention and control the exoskeleton actuators. This depends on adequately implementing the RL network algorithm, thus testing the activities of daily living (standing, sitting, squatting while maintaining balance) are needed.

Sleep posture, intricately connected to sleep health, has emerged as a crucial focus in sleep medicine. Studies have associated the supine posture with increased frequency and severity of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), while lateral postures may mitigate these effects. For bedridden patients, regular posture adjustments are essential to prevent ulcers and bedsores, highlighting the need for precise sleep posture detection. In this work, we propose STConvSleepNet, a novel method for detecting sleep posture using piezoelectric sensor pressure data. It employs two shallow CNN2D networks to discriminate spatial features and two CNN1D networks to discriminate temporal features, with each network processing either the heart rate or the respiratory rate. These networks are trained to detect sleep postures from spatial features of the pressure distribution, and temporal features of heart rate and cardiopulmonary activities variability. We collected data from 22 participants with 300-450 samples each, for a total of 8583 samples using a 32-sensor array. We performed 5-fold cross-validation on the data using the proposed method. The results showed that the proposed STConvSleepNet yielded 91.11% recall, 92.89% precision, and 92.39% accuracy. This is comparable to the state-of-the-art method that needs a significantly increased number of sensors to achieve slightly increased accuracy of 96.90%. Hence these results showed promise of using the proposed STConvSleepNet for cost-effective home sleep monitoring using portable *** Relevance - This sleep posture detection potentially suits diverse populations for long-term, at home settings. © 2024 IEEE.

Privacy-preserving data aggregation has been widely recognized as a key enabling functionality in wireless sensor networks to allow the base station to learn valuable statistics of the sensed data while protecting individual sensor node's data privacy. Existing privacy-preserving data aggregation schemes all target simple statistic functions such as SUM, COUNT, and MAX/MIN. In contrast, a quantile summary allows a base station to extract the phi-quantile for any 0 < phi < 1 of all the sensor readings in the network and can thus provide a more accurate characterization of the data distribution. Unfortunately, how to realize privacy-preserving quantile summary aggregation remains an open challenge. In this paper, we introduce the design and evaluation of PrivQSA, a novel privacy-preserving quantile summary aggregation scheme for wireless sensor networks, which enables efficient quantile summary aggregation while guaranteeing epsilon-Local Differential Privacy for individual sensors. Detailed simulation studies confirm the efficacy and efficiency of the proposed protocol.

The traditional information fusion technology between WSN nodes is faced with the weak privacy protection ability of users, and the required communication traffic is large. Under this background, this paper designs and implements a new information security mechanism. The realization process and method of this method are introduced. A fusion algorithm based on segmented encryption is adopted to protect the privacy of users. The method uses local data interaction mechanism to reduce redundant information interaction in the collusive process, and adopts random transmission mechanism to improve the accuracy of fusion results. TOSSIM technology is used to verify the proposed data transmission capability, privacy protection capability and data fusion accuracy. Scalable data fusion technology and fragment encryption technology are adopted to ensure the confidentiality of information. Experimental results show that the proposed method can improve the communication efficiency and fusion effect greatly. The research results of this project can effectively improve the security protection ability of WSN for typical information.
