Aiming at the problem of unbalanced energy consumption in Wireless sensor networks Clustering Routing Protocol, this paper introduces the Whale optimization Algorithm (WOA) in intelligent optimization algorithm, improves its shortcomings, and proposes a Wireless sensor networks (WSN) clustering routing protocol based on latet improved whale optimization algorithm (lwoa) based on traditional clustering protocol, By improving the convergence factor and spiral update factor of WOA, an improved algorithm lwoa is obtained and applied to lwoa algorithm for cluster head selection, which makes the cluster head selection of the network more reasonable. The experimental results show that lowa algorithm is better than the traditional Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy (LEACH) algorithm and Stable Election Protocol (SEP) The lifetime of the algorithm is improved by 133% and 37% respectively. © 2022 IEEE.

Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) can consist of many inexpensive sensors that communicate using the same wireless channel. In some applications, localization of these sensors can be as crucial as collecting their monitoring data. As the number of sensors increases, the complexity of processing data in such large networks grows significantly. In general, localization methods in WSNs typically rely on data containing sensor-specific information. However, the problem becomes more challenging when data contains no sensor-specific information. To address this issue, we propose a mixer-based deep neural network to estimate sensor positions using the received cumulative signal strength that is devoid of explicit sensor-specific information. Our approach employs wavelet decomposition to extract information from the input time series, combined with patching, embedding, and mixer techniques for position estimation. We compare the performance of our model with a nonlinear Kalman filter-based state estimation method. Extensive evaluations using data generated from our simulator demonstrate that our method consistently outperforms the unscented Kalman filter (UKF) method across all scenarios. © 2025 IEEE.

Smart transducers and network infrastructures are pillars of the IoT. Transducers play a fundamental role in providing measurements to monitoring and control chains in industry. Industry 4.0 specifications require that measurement information be always available for the application layer whatever be the source and the physical channel. IEEE 1451 is a family of standards edited with the aim of introducing the plug and play approach in the field of distributed measurement systems and wireless sensor networks. At first, a brief summary of the IEEE 1451 introduces fundamental concepts like Transducer Interface Data Sheet (TEDS), Network Capable Application Processor (NCAP) and Transducer Interface Module (TIM). Then, a sight to the IEEE 21451.001 allows a novel approach to edge computing to be described. Finally, some examples of application of this new approach to typical digital signal processing problems are reported in the paper.

With the advent of the era of big data, the relevant technical standards of wireless sensor networks are becoming more and more perfect, so the information security of wireless sensor networks will also attract increasing attention. Because once the information secret of the wireless sensor network is leaked, it will bring huge damage to the entire Internet environment, and even cause the entire Internet to collapse. As a result, the privacy security problem in sensor networks has become an urgent problem to be solved. This paper aims to study the privacy protection of wireless sensor networks from the perspective of big data. Taking data privacy protection as an example, it proposes based on the analysis of the characteristics of wireless sensor networks, the application fields of wireless sensors, the classification of data aggregation technologies, and the CPDA scheme. An improved data privacy protection scheme is proposed, and simulation experiments are carried out on it. The experimental results show that the privacy of the method used in this paper is better than that of the CPDA method, and the probability of the lock being exposed increases, and its privacy is better than that of CPDA. © 2022 IEEE.

Underwater acoustic communication is the most reliable way of underwater long-distance communication. However, due to the harsh underwater environments, the battery capacity of underwater acoustic sensor nodes is limited and difficult to charge. The rapid energy depletion of nodes with high utilization rate causes the energy hole problem, which reduces the lifetime and throughput of underwater acoustic networks (UWAN). In this paper, we propose a method of data importance classification and forwarding of data hoarding on nodes, which uses an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) equipped with a reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) system in the energy hole area. The proposed method addresses the issues of data transmission and data accumulation at nodes within energy holes. By utilizing the RIS system, data can be rapidly forwarded, and RIS-based chunking techniques are applied to handle data of different importance levels. This approach efficiently accomplishes targeted forwarding of accumulated data. In addition, this study utilizes genetic algorithms to address the chunking problem in the RIS system based on data importance, effectively tackling the challenges of large search space and lack of gradient information in RIS chunking optimization. © 2023 IEEE.

Abstract: With the continuous iterative evolution of smart grid technology, it is increasingly important to strengthen the feeder automation technology of distribution network. In response to the complex distribution network architecture and diversified user needs, traditional technology has exposed many limitations, and intelligent sensors provide new opportunities for the development of distribution network feeder automation technology. This paper discusses the application of intelligent sensors in distribution network feeder automation, introduces the types of various intelligent sensors in detail, sorts out their technical characteristics, and systematically explains the working principle and core functions of feeder automation. intelligent sensors play an important role in data acquisition and transmission, fault diagnosis and location, intelligent control and optimization. Through the actual case analysis, the remarkable application effect of intelligent sensors can be fully demonstrated, such as significantly reducing the fault processing time, improving power quality, reducing operation and maintenance costs, etc. At the same time, the paper expounds the technical challenges faced by intelligent sensor applications, such as improving data accuracy and reliability, ensuring data security and privacy protection, and ensuring the stability of communication networks. In view of these problems, this paper puts forward corresponding countermeasures, and highlights the importance of technological innovation, as well as the key role of standards and policies. Finally, the research results of this paper are summarized, and the broad application prospects of intelligent sensors in the field of intelligent construction of distribution network and energy conversion are prospected.

A smart home environment monitoring system based on cloud platform and Android client is proposed to improve the convenience of people's daily life. The multi-sensor node information fusion method is used to analyze the output characteristics of data in different indoor environments, which is on the basis of the back propagation neural network. The intelligent gateway is constructed by sensors, singlechip and wireless modules, which is connected with the cloud platform by LoRa and WiFi, and then, the wireless communication and remote control are realized. The environmental data and change curve are displayed by App and the real-time air quality index is given. The test results show that the accuracy of CO2 and PM2.5 concentrations is up to 98% and the changing value can be displayed to users with curves, so that the environmental conditions can be understood conveniently and timely. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

The article describes the creation of tools for building intelligent systems in the field of scientometrics as the concept of the Internet of Things. The concept is presented as an information system where scientometric databases such as Scopus, WoS, as well as sites with databases of scientific projects and other databases act as sensors that generate data. Systems of data accumulation and processing are systems created using microservices technology. At the output, we get a control signal in the form of a proposal to correct the trajectory of the development of the scientific potential as an organization or a scientist. The system will also suggest how to strengthen the research team by selecting scientific partners from the global scientific community. The article describes the structural model of the concept of the Internet of Things in the form of a multi-level structure using microservice technologies. Also, the article suggests methods of constructing a scalar evaluation of the results of scientific research activities of scientists based on the analysis of citations of their publications. © 2024 Elsevier B.V.. Fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensor has been one of the main research objects in the field of optical sensing due to its advantages of compact size and capability of multiplexing and long-distance measurement. Since its central wavelength shift has a linear relationship with the measurand change, the typical demodulation method is to fit such relationship linearly or nonlinearly, and demodulate the measured parameter based on the change of Bragg wavelength. In this paper, particularly for an FBG temperature sensor, an effective sensing signal measurement method employing deep convolutional neural networks (DCNN) is proposed. This method can extract temperature automatically with a comparable and even more accurate precision. After training process of DCNN, the temperature information can be directly extracted from the experimentally obtained FBG spectra instead of tracking the peak. Since it makes full use of the spectral information rather than only the central wavelength, it overcomes the limit of traditional fitting method and can improve the measurement accuracy of FBG effectively, with an accuracy of 99.38% and mean error of 0.608. The proposed approach to demodulate the FBG sensors is experimentally verified by checking various spectra obtained at different temperatures, and superior accuracy could be achieved. It provides a cost-effective solution for multiplexing of FBG sensors, and is promising for establishing sensing networks to implement smart monitoring. © 2022 SPIE.

With the emergence of the sixth generation (6G) era, ubiquitous sensing and machine intelligence have emerged as the primary motivation for the development of large-scale Internet of Things (IoT) systems. However, the limited communication capabilities of IoT devices are often constrained by costs and further inhibit their full potential. Nowadays sensor technologies are rapidly evolving, offering improved accuracy and update rates for environmental perception. Considering this, the challenge faced by 6G IoT lies in the increasing data payload from sensing and the constrained communication capacity. To this end, lite communication solutions for IoT are investigated in this paper. By integrating task-oriented communication concepts with sensing objectives, we extract and represent semantic information from sensor nodes. Subsequently, this information is transmitted to edge nodes via wireless transmission for analysis and processing of sensory data. This approach effectively reduces redundant data transmission, thus achieving lite communication in IoT. Based on these principles, a lite edge task-oriented communication system architecture tailored for IoT applications is proposed. Specifically, we implement and evaluate the IoT communication module and the edge task-oriented module, demonstrating that the proposed system reduces resource consumption by 99% and significantly alleviates the transmission payload of IoT. Through leveraging low-speed IoT transmission protocols and high-precision sensors, our system effectively supports a wide range of sensing tasks.
