This paper discusses the application of wireless energy transfer (WET) for powering smart sensors, addressing the challenges associated with directly utilizing solar energy in environments with difficult access. The study involves a theoretical examination of wireless electricity transfer, complemented by practical implementations to illustrate key concepts. The integration of two primary aspects is emphasized throughout the research: the recovery and adaptation of solar energy, followed by its transmission without the need for a physical electrical connection. The proposed system involves the retrieval of solar energy, its subsequent adaptation for wireless transmission, reception without direct electrical contact, and the final utilization of the harvested energy to power intelligent sensors. This holistic approach aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the wireless energy transfer process and its practical implementation in the context of smart sensor applications.

The research analyzes the needs of efficient data perception and reliable transmission from the perspective of marine environmental monitoring. At the same time, we integrate wireless sensor networks and Mesh networks, and build multi-sensor heterogeneous wireless ad hoc networks to solve technical problems such as efficient data perception and reliable transmission in complex marine environments. We closely focus on key technical contents such as multi-sensor marine environment detection models, environment-sensitive wireless sensor network MAC protocols, cross-layer and geographical location-assisted routing protocols. The research results have great application value and social benefits for marine economic development and marine environmental protection. The proposed models, protocols and solutions also have strong academic significance for promoting the development of wireless sensor networks.

One of the important technologies for protecting civilian life from terrorist attacks is explosive detection techniques. The global incidence of terrorist activities has been considerably reduced by the development of explosive detection techniques, which has been made possible by ongoing technology improvements. Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are one of these developments that has become an innovative tool for explosives detection. This work explores recent empirical research on the application of WSNs to explosives detection and includes statistical analysis of the investigations. Wireless sensor network with compatible specialized sensors is required for effective explosive detection. Three main wireless sensor system aspects that are relevant to explosives detection are covered in this research. It first looks at how scalable wireless sensors are in terms of explosives detection technologies. In the second section, it looks at the mobility and communication capabilities of WSNs and sensors in explosives detecting systems. Finally, it highlights potential hazards and weaknesses and addresses the crucial topic of data security inside wireless sensor networks used for explosive detection. The study also suggests incorporating drone assisted detection as a novel way to improve the coverage and effectiveness of explosives detection systems, adding to the continuous advancement of security technologies meant to shield civilian populations from terrorist threats.

Construction of Computer Network Security Monitoring Platform Based on intelligent sensor Technology

As computer networks become ubiquitous, ensuring their security has become a critical concern. Existing network security monitoring systems still face challenges, including network intrusions and data loss. Therefore, the security of some confidential information and files has decreased and a new type of computer network security monitoring platform inevitably emerges. This paper constructs the computer network security monitoring platform from the aspects of network architecture design, intelligent sensor selection and deployment, monitoring server establishment, and system monitoring maintenance, analyzes the fitness function of the computer network security monitoring platform combined with particle swarm optimization algorithm, and evaluates the resource utilization, data storage capacity, and other performance of the platform in the experiment. In the experiment, it was found that the resource utilization and data storage capacity of the computer network security monitoring platform under intelligent sensors have significantly improved. Results demonstrate significant improvements with the introduction of intelligent sensors. Specifically, resource utilization increased by 12% and data storage capacity improved by 11%, highlighting the effectiveness of intelligent sensors in enhancing platform performance. Additionally, tests on the platform's processing capabilities revealed a 62% reduction in response time compared to traditional systems, with response times ranging from 0.23 to 0.50 s. intelligent sensor technology is of great significance in improving the reliability and fault tolerance of computer network security monitoring platforms.

In this paper, we propose a dynamic data transmission strategy for smart home environments that aims to optimize the Quality of Experience (QoE) by adaptively adjusting the data upload frequency based on the predicted trends in sensor data. Using the home wireless sensors monitoring dataset, we implement a deep learning model for accurate time series forecasting. In addition, an anomaly detection mechanism is used to identify critical events, requiring more frequent data uploads when important changes are detected. The QoE is quantified through a weighted average of several influencing factors, including data timeliness, timely upload of critical events, and transmission frequency. Our optimization objective is to maximize QoE while minimizing the number of transmissions, with an emphasis on reducing energy consumption through intelligent scheduling. The results demonstrate that our approach effectively balances data timeliness, transmission efficiency, and energy savings, leading to improved user satisfaction in smart home applications. © 2024 IEEE.

Human pose estimation is a technique for estimating human pose from input information obtained from a sensor. It has been widely learned in the field of computer vision. And the human body information provided by human pose estimation has been widely used in many applications and it helps a lot with artificial intelligence. With the development of deep learning, human pose estimation has made significant progress and achieved significant performance using deep learning techniques. But there still are some problems such as occlusion, insufficient training data, etc. are still challenges that need to be handeled. Because of the rapid development of human pose estimation and the gradually emerging problems, this article tries to refine three types of problems in human pose estimation and summarize some teams’ latest methods to deal with these problems. © 2022 SPIE.

In the current scoring process of robot competition in primary and secondary schools, most of them use manual referees, resulting in insufficient fairness in the competition, waste of human and material resources and other problems. In this paper, sensor technology is used to detect the running position information and related parameters of the competition robot, LoRa wireless communication technology is used to realize the signal transmission between the signal acquisition equipment and the gateway, and the upper computer software is designed to display the score and complete the record, which makes up for the shortcomings of manual scoring in the competition. The experimental results show that the system has high stability, fast scoring speed, and can complete the automatic timing and scoring of robot competitions, automatically feedback the completion of robot tasks and judge the scores according to the completion of tasks. © 2022 IEEE.

Vehicular Ad-hoc networks (VANETs) allow the exchange of vehicle information between vehicles or between vehicles and the infrastructure. Together with sensor units installed in the vehicles themselves, or in road-side infrastructures within the concept of smart cities, they allow the development of applications targeting the safety of urban mobility. In this work we introduce two-wheelers (2wheelers), a Vulnerable Road User, and we research an approach for their safety in the roads. For this purpose, we first define a set of mobility scenarios representative of the interactions that may occur between 2wheelers and the other vehicles, together with the definition of the communication technologies available to each element. We propose a 2wheelers' safety multi-technology communication and sensing system designed to support mobile, edge or cloud-based operations, depending on the scenario in hands. Evaluation tests, performed in a real-world environment using an autonomous shuttle as the vehicle and a bicycle as a 2wheeler, have shown the operation of the safety platform in the different scenarios with different communication technologies, sensors and their fusion, and how the safety approach is able to improve the safety of 2wheelers in the road.

sensor nodes, which are tiny, geographically dispersed devices that monitor and record physical or environmental parameters like temperature, pressure, humidity, noise, tremor or pollutants, make up Wireless sensor networks (WSNs). The information collected by these sensors is subsequently sent, usually wirelessly, to a base station or central point. Wireless sensor networks (WSNs), which offer early warnings and real-time monitoring, are essential for disaster detection and management. Disasters are sudden, catastrophic events that cause significant destruction, often resulting in substantial human, economic and environmental losses. Disasters can be natural like earthquake, floods; or man-made like pollution and fires, and they typically require urgent and coordinated responses to mitigate their impact and aid recovery. This paper discusses design of sensor node using temperature and relative humidity sensor, DHT22 and air quality monitoring sensor, MQ135. Four such sensor nodes are deployed at the fire prone locations in the college. Floor plan of sensor node deployment is also provided in the paper. The sensor node readings are monitored on cloud monitoring system. Thus, the wireless sensor network is designed using minimum number of sensors, in cost efficient way and fire information is obtained at the base station with minimum delay.
