Background: Adequate food intake and adequate water intake (AWI) plays a vital role in body development, human health and total wellbeing. Water intake (WI) is one of the major and crucial nutrients for health promotion and disease prevention. Beverage consumption is also a medium through which water is consumed but the content of the beverage is very important to staying hydrated and living healthy. Despite this, there is a viaduct in proper knowledge about the exact amount of total water intake (TWI) and hydration status among students in Obuda University. Aim: The primary aim of this study is to bring an awareness among Obuda University students about how important water is to health and staying hydrated which further enhance a good study performance. To check if the students suffer from any dehydration-related symptoms and to conduct descriptive analysis on which channels they acquire information about hydration. Therefore, we focus on water drinking habits by investigating if Obuda University students from Africa, asia and Europe adheres to hydration policy as regards to the recommended daily total water intake (TWI) according to the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) for Europeans and the World Health Organization (WHO) for Africans and asians, and to explore if they are well hydrated. Methods: A cross-platform survey was distributed to extort data about drinking habits and the awareness of hydration among the students. The questions contained in the survey took approximately 5 minutes to complete. There were 385 responses but 323 were qualified for the investigation. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS v26 and descriptive statistics are presented throughout the study. Results: There were 323 young-aged participants between the ages of 18-35 years from Africa, asia, and Europe included in the study. Between 10%-22% of the population were aware of the TWI by both EFSA and WHO which induce that many among the student population are suffering from dehydrati

Assessing the safety of an autonomous vehicle is an open problem within the research domain for autonomous vehicles. Next to real-world driving tests, simulation and reprocessing of recordings play a crucial role in validating the correct and safe behavior. Current state-of-the-art methods for function reprocessing suffer from several sources of error and hence, might lead to incorrect results. In this work, an overview of the most recent reprocessing methods is given and their shortcomings are described. We suggest the derivation of explicit sensor models and the learning of behavior models for traffic objects. An overview of different levels of sensor and different kinds of agent models is given along with a discussion for the need for statistical and machine learning based models. Furthermore, a novel method, based on infrastructure sensors, to collect the data needed for the derivation of the models is presented.

This paper uses general regression neural network (GRNN) to predict dissolved oxygen in water of fish farm for aquaculture. In Taiwan, aquaculture is one of main economic activities. In here, an important issue is how to keep dissolved oxygen in water of fish farm in normal range. Most aquaculture operators use air pump to keep dissolved oxygen in water in normal range, hut turn on or off the air pump by their experience so that the cost can't control effectively. Therefore, this paper collects the related data by sensors and then use GRNN to predict dissolved oxygen in water. In GRNN, there are two main process, including learning and recalling. By the data, GRNN can find the relationship between input data and output data. From the experimental results, the R-value and MAPE in training are 0.99099 and 1.8744%, respectively;in test, the R-value and MAPE are 0.95036 and 5.2137%, respectively. It can show that GRNN can huild an effective model for dissolved oxygen in water of fish farm. © 2018 IEEE.

This paper presents a neuro-inspired mapping approach that uses partial information shared by multiple robots to reduce the time to create a map of an entire environment. Robots using a neurobiologically inspired algorithm, namely RatSLAM, map an environment sharing video information among themselves. RatSLAM, which is based on the navigation system present in the hippocampus of rodents' brain, has been widely used on simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) problem. This proposal has been able to generate suitable maps mainly when there is redundant information, e.g. a scene is seen more than once, since this fact activates local view cells that inject activity inside the pose cells via an excitatory link. The work here reported extends this approach by merging partial information acquired by multiple robots. The results from the performed experiments show that the final map built by two robots with shared information is similar to one built by two robots performing the same mapping task individually, i.e. without sharing information. However, the time spent to generate the whole map with the proposed shared approach was smaller than the one without the shared information. Thus, the current approach allows creating a complete map of an environment within a reduced time using multiple robots. © 2018 IEEE.

The present book includes a set of selected extended papers from the 12th international conference on informatics in control, automation and robotics (ICINCO 2015), held in Colmar, France, from 21 to 23 July 2015. The conference brought together researchers, engineers and practitioners interested in the application of informatics to control, automation and robotics. Four simultaneous tracks will be held, covering Intelligent control Systems, Optimization, robotics, automation, Signal Processing, Sensors, Systems Modelling and control, and Industrial Engineering, Production and Management. informatics applications are pervasive in many areas of control, automation and robotics. ICINCO 2015 received 214 submissions, from 42 countries, in all continents. After a double blind paper review performed by the Program Committee, 14% were accepted as full papers and thus selected for oral presentation. Additional papers were accepted as short papers and posters. A further selection was made after the conference, based also on the assessment of presentation quality and audience interest, so that this book includes the extended and revised versions of the very best papers of ICINCO 2015. Commitment to high quality standards is a major concern of ICINCO that will be maintained in the next editions, considering not only the stringent paper acceptance ratios but also the quality of the program committee, keynote lectures, participation level and logistics.

The aim of this paper is to review and classify typical disturbances that occur in the computer/wireless networks and discuss the impact that some of them may have on the control quality in the networked control systems. We will demonstrate that even not a very complex control task involving programmable PID-type controller and an inertia system will may convert into a non-trivial task when performed not in a traditional closed-loop hard-wired system but rather a system when the control loop closes over a communication network.

Companies often have legacy systems within production processes. Many of these systems use proprietary information-communication-control-technologies (ICCT), among others, and for that reason it is difficult to integrate them into new industrial environments that require Industrie 4.0-compliances. The migration process of such industrial systems, i.e., retrofitting it into an Industrie 4.0-compliant, ICPS-Infrastructure, leads to the necessity of new features and components in the legacy architecture. This paper summarizes the process for retrofitting a flexible manufacturing system located at the Institute for Industrial informatics, automation and robotics (PAR) of the University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer, integrating legacy PLCs, RFID and commercial cloud technology on the basis of an Industry 4.0-compliant digitalization of components with OPC UA interfaces. With the use of common technologies recommended for migrating legacy industrial systems into Industrie 4.0-compliant systems, the authors describe the major specifications and characteristics of a migration approach and resulted novel ICPS-architecture that allows the operator and/or other legacy automation and management systems to monitor and control the PLC component via a RAMI4.0-compliant digital interface, via a retrofitted RFID System. © 2018 IEEE.

This paper discusses a comprehensive model of a mobile robot with a no-slip self-adjusting off-centered orientable wheel. Subsequently, by application of dynamic control, a comparison is made between two robot models: one accounting for the effect of the off-centered orientable wheel and another one excluding this effect. The aspects considered in the study include not only the error resulting from the drive along a given trajectory but also the consumption of energy of the compared models.
