In this paper, an intrinsically parallel framework striving for increased flexibility in development of robotic, computer vision, and machine intelligence applications is introduced. The framework comprises a generic set of tools for realtime data acquisition, robot control, integration of external software components and task automation. The primary goal is to provide a developer- and user-friendly, but yet efficient base architecture for complex AI system implementations, be it for research, educational, or industrial purposes. The system therefore combines promising ideas of recent neuroscientific research with a blackboard information storage mechanism, an implementation of the multi-agent paradigm, and graphical user interaction. Furthermore, the paper elaborates on how the framework's building blocks can be composed to applications of increasing complexity. The final target application includes parallel image processing, actuator control, and reasoning to handle limp objects and automate handling-tasks within dynamic scenarios.

The online quality inspection system is important for promotion the production and qualified rate of Tailored Welded Blanks. This paper, on the analysis of the principle of structured light vision, establishes a post-welding inspection system for calculating and detecting the geometric parameters and defects of weld in tailored blanks laser welding. Image processing and extraction algorithms of the laser profiles and feature points are presented. Experiment was conducted with the visual inspection system using structured light and experimental results validate the effectiveness of the method.

Coordinated multi-cell MIMO technology has attracted great attention these years because of its property at improving the frequency efficiency. In this paper, we study the antenna selection technology for the coordinated multi-cell MIMO system which employs BD pre-coding mechanism, and present a new antenna selection algorithm for maximum capacity. Simulation results are shown that our algorithm can effectively improve the system capacity.

Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) as well as genetic algorithm has shown good search abilities in many optimization problems. However, PSO easily falls into local minima on complex problems because of the loss of swarm diversity. This paper presents an improved diversity guided PSO algorithm, called DCPSO, by employing a modified velocity model and a chaotic mutation operator. In order to verify the performance of DCPSO, we test it on six benchmark functions. The simulation results show that DCPSO outperforms other two variants of PSO in all test cases.

This paper describes our efforts to develop a Digital Fish Simulator (DFS), particularly aiming at creating a controlled kinematic centered environment to further shed light on how to design and control artificial fish robots. Compared to a 3D simulator for autonomous robotic fish by Liu and Hu, an improved body wave equation capable of multimodal swimming motions is adopted in our simulator and artificial swimming data can be further imported enabling various fictive swimming patterns. Furthermore, the swimming data generated from the simulator can directly be fed into the fish robots for verification, and vice versa. Finally, a series of fishlike robots with different mechanical design have been built to validate our well-formed ideas and to reach a new level of performance close to actual fish for real applications.

Differential Evolution (DE) is a novel evolutionary computation technique, which has attracted much attention and wide applications for its simple concept, easy implementation and quick convergence. In order to enhance the performance of classical DE, a new DE algorithm, namely AMDE, is proposed by using an adaptive mutation. In AMDE, the mutation step size is dynamically adjusted in terms of the size of current search space. To verify the performance of the proposed approach, we test AMDE on six well-known benchmark functions. The simulation results show that AMDE performs better than other three evolutionary algorithms on majority of test functions.

Studying drivers' route choice behavior under the influence of travel information is important because it provides insight to improve the effect of travel information on traffic environment. This paper mainly aims to study the impact of travel information on travelers' route choice behavior at different departure time. Multinomial logit model (MNL) is used to model travelers' route choice behavior under travel information at different departure time. By comparative study on drivers' route choice under travel information at different departure time, it is found that (1) the content of travel information significantly affect travelers' route choice, (2) travelers' departure time significantly influences travelers' route choice response to travel information, (3) travelers' socio-demographics have considerable correlation with travelers' route choice behavior.

Evolutionary programming (EP) has been successfully applied to many optimization problems in recent years. However, most experimental results of EP have been obtained under low-dimension condition and weren't perfect under high-dimension condition. A new evolutionary programming method which named Heuristic Search Strategy (HSS) was proposed for solving high-dimension optimization problem. It can grasp the information of distribution-status of population by control four parameters of population in the evolution process and adjust the mutation size of individual according to such information. HSS was test by using benchmark functions, the experimental results show that performance of HSS is better than other EP method obviously under high-dimension condition.

Project review is always the key link of the Science and technology fund project management. Project review is a complex work which involves many factors. The final evaluation result is always influenced directly by the definition of various evaluation indexes and the corresponding weight. This paper mainly studies the judgment of the experts' ability and the establishment of the project evaluation index system in the peer communication review. With the actual experience of Liaoning province science and technology fund project management, the paper analyzes deeply the fund project review work, builds a evaluation index system for the fund project, takes into account the ability of the peer experts, and puts forward a comprehensive evaluation method based on the matter-element in the fund project. At last, the paper validates the practicability of the theory in the actual project.

The decentralized structure makes P2P network an effective model for file sharing. However, how to avoid the ¿free-rider¿ of file sharing in P2P network is a crucial problem. With the combination of fairness thought, an incentive strategy based on peer trust degree has been proposed. Each peer in this model is a credit entity. Each node submits feedback about queried node after transaction, and constructs a decentralized trust model. The nodes which provide reliable service have high trust degree. Accordingly, these high degree nodes are much easier to obtain reliable service in the system. The experimental results show that the model can effectively control free-rider and improve efficiency of the system.
