Whether KAD IDs are uniformly distributed in the KAD network is a very important point, for it can influence the structure of the routing table. Further influence the routing performance. In this paper, two methodologies are used to verify our assumption that KAD IDs do uniformly distributed. The first one is in XOR space. We made the distribution of the XOR-distance; the second methodology we used is in Euclidean space. We made the distribution of the Euclidean-distance. The outcome is that KAD IDs follow exponential distribution. Lastly we got a suitable model to fit the actual situation.

Differential Evolution (DE) is a population-based stochastic search algorithm, which has shown good performance in many optimization problems. In this paper, we propose an improved DE algorithm, called LSDE, by using a local search operator to enhance the performance of classical DE. In order to verify the performance of LSDE, we test the proposed approach on seven well-known benchmark problems. The simulation results show that LSDE obtains good performance and outperforms the classical DE in all test cases.

At present, the scale and diversity of Web information are immense. Acquiring Web information simply relies on search engine which is increasingly unable to meet user needs, thus Web information extraction (WebIE) technology attracts widely attentions. In this paper, a framework of distributed multi-slot WebIE system based on agent is proposed. It includes user agent, mediator agent, wrapper agent, data store agent, page preprocessing agent and corresponding knowledge base. The agents communicate each other and cooperate together to carry out the general goal of the system. Moreover, aiming at multi-slot extraction, the approaches of extraction rule learning and repair are presented, which enable to enhance adaptability of the system.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the predictive power of a computerized mathematics learning approach scale (CMLAS) change measure. The change of CMLAS is applied as an indicator for ICT infused mathematics intervention effect. A computerized dynamic assessment model which combines mathematics computerized adaptive testing (MCAT) and a two-phase ICT infused intervention is implemented in this study. The first intervention phase uses a spatial game to modify student's mathematics learning approach. The second intervention phase focuses on fostering the slow learner's automaticity of numerical operation. The results suggest that the assessment of goal orientation change is a good predictor for ICT infused mathematics intervention effect.

This paper proposed a new method of web news summarization via soft clustering algorithm. It used search engine to extract relevant documents, and mixed query sentence into sentences set which segmented from multi-document set, then this paper adopted efficient soft cluster algorithm SSSC to cluster all the sentences. If the number of cluster which contains the query sentence is larger than or equal to 5, the summary sentence will be extracted by turns from the clusters which query sentence in, or feature fusion will be used to extract summary sentences. Experimental result shows that the proposed summarization method can improve the performance of summary, soft clustering algorithm is efficient.

Robot learning from demonstration (LfD) requires data collection for mapping the sensory states to motion action, which plays a significant role in the learning efficiency and effectiveness. In this paper we present a data collection framework that allows a human demonstrator to teleoperate or to visually guide a mobile robot for the required behaviors, while the sensory-motor examples are simultaneously gathered. In the teleoperation mode, the human demonstrator can teleoperate the robot through a GUI that consists of the velocity control and sensory-motor recording commands with the monitoring windows for sonar, laser and visual image. In the visual-guided mode, the human demonstrator uses a green can as the command stick that is tracked by a pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) camera. The framework is implemented on a Peoplebot robot. Experiments show that both demonstration modes of the framework provide an user-friendly interface of data collection for the subsequent learning process of the robot.

Peer-to-Peer (P2P) networks are widely used in today's Internet. Researchers claim that churn could bring down the performance in p2p networks. AS churn is an inherent character. Researchers want to find some ways to keep down. We investigate this in another point of view, from the searching aspect, churn can bring up search efficiency for repeated search. In this paper, we build a novel peer to peer network in which edges re-connecte actively. Then we introduce how a resource disseminated in it during the time runs off. The last point is that we explain what dose this design gain for searching a resource.
