To connect wireless sensor networks and WiMAX accessing system, a system is proposed in this paper. It is composed of two parts. The first part is used to establish a P2P network of multiple wireless sensor networks (WSNs) named as ¿WSN Peer Group (WPG)¿. This part is implemented by using JXTA platform. In the WPG, sensor informations can be shared peer to peer by sensor networks. The second part is to connect the WPG to the WiMAX accessing network which is implemented by the WiMAX Gateway (WG). As the WG is developed for the WPG, not for certain WSN, this new system proposes a new way for WSNs to access to WiMAX, which avoids developing various gateways for different types of WSNs. The performances on connectivity and delay are tested, and the results validates that the system is feasible.

The paper focuses on the problem of structure and motion recovery from a monocular image sequence under quasi-perspective projection model. Previous study on this problem adopts singular value decomposition (SVD) to the tracking matrix with rank constraint. The method is time consuming and does not work for incomplete data. In this paper, we propose to adopt power factorization to the problem. The proposed algorithm overcomes the limitations of previous SVD-based counterpart. It is easy to implement and can deal with missing data in the tracking matrix. The algorithm can also be applied to nonrigid factorization. Extensive tests on synthetic and real images validate the proposed method and show its improvements over existing solutions.

This paper introduces a new control scheme for active steering of vehicle. An ideal reference model followed by the four-wheel steering (4WS) vehicle is established resulting from the front-wheel steering (FWS) vehicle, and an H ∞ optimum controller for the 4WS vehicle is designed based on model following technology. The dynamic simulation is performed to verify control effect of the H ∞ controller, and the result shows that the H ∞ controller can apply to the 4WS vehicle system. It can not only minimize the sideslip angle of the 4WS vehicle to zero value, but also keep the yaw rate of the 4WS vehicle in accordance with the FWS vehicle. The handleability is further improved for 4WS vehicle.

NETCONF is a new standard network configuration protocol. For further research we have developed an open experimental platform for NETCONF protocol, BUPT-NEP (BUPT NETCONF Experimental Platform). Moreover, based on the experimental platform some significant technologies, such as data filtering, data storage and so on, are considered. This paper gives a detailed introduction of the tree data model and the table-like data model, which both could be used to organize and store the network facilities' information, and highlights the comparison of them in two aspects of the space occupancy as well as the filtering performance. From the comparison results it comes to a conclusion that the table-like data model could keep more information; however, the tree data model is easy to understand and shows better filtering performance.

In this paper, a multiple features face tracking algorithm based on particle filter is proposed. Particle filter can effectively combine multiple face features information which supply robustness in different environments. Meanwhile, our approach makes use of the invariance to rotation and translation of color histogram central moment and statistical characteristic of multiple resolution Sobel Local Binary Pattern (LBP) histogram which shows the local and enhanced global information, then fuses multiple features information by a weight proportion in particle filter framework to propose a new human face tracking algorithm. The experimental results demonstrate the efficiency and effectiveness of the algorithm and present a more robust face tracking performance compared with the method based on single feature.

The distance between backs of the wheel flanges is key parameter that influences the wheel-rail contact. This parameter will change with the change of the flange thickness of wheelsets. The measuring system based on the laser displacement sensors is proposed to measure this parameter on line. The measuring results are improved by the wavelet analysis. The RMSE of the manual measurement and the wavelet analysis are 0.33, and 0.22, respectively. The changing range of manual measurement is much larger than the measuring system because of the difference between every operator's measuring standard. That shows the measuring system has the better repeatability and reliability. These results show that the system based on the laser displacement sensors can meet with the measuring requirement on line.

This paper deals with the robust tracking control problem for a class of partial information MIMO LTV systems, which is a common case in practical engineering. Since only a finite number of discrete characteristic time points during the whole operating region of the system could be measured, multi-linear model approximation approach is employed. Based on H ¿ theory, a sufficient criteria is proposed to construct the global robust controller, which could guarantee the global stability of the multi-linear system. An important contribution of this method is that it provides a simple and feasible approach for the design of multi-linear systems which could easily guarantee both the global stability and robustness of the closed-loop systems. This method is applied to the design of a BTT (bank-to-turn) missile autopilot and the simulation results show the effectiveness of this method.

The angle of break is a key factor that determines the mining damage extent of the surface in a mine, and it is also used to depict the characteristics of the mining subsidence basin. The geological and mining factors that influence the angle of break are fully analyzed. Based on the practical observational data from the ground movement monitoring stations of many mines in China, a neural network model with genetic algorithm is developed to determine the angle of break. The combination of genetic algorithm and neural network can overcome the disadvantages of the artificial neural works such as limitation of local optimization and slow convergence rate. The validity and reliability of neural network method combined with genetic algorithm to determinate the angle of break are verified by the existing engineering instances.

Ventilation interruption in high gas mine during main fan switchover in the way currently-used that working fan stops at first and standby fan starts later is liable to cause gas concentration exceeding limit. In the paper, a novel way to realize ventilation unceasing during main fan switchover is put forward, in which, contrary to the way currently-used, standby fan was required to be started before working fan stopped to obtain continuous ventilation power. In addition, a kind of sequence control strategy for air-doors regulation cooperatively was studied for subsequent ventilation network switchover. In order to find the optimal parameter coordination about delay time of sequence control, numerical simulations of the air flow rate and the equivalent ventilation resistance during main fan switchover were executed in MATLAB to check ventilation stable and main fan safety at the same time. Finally, according to which, an automatic control system had been developed and had achieved the perspective goal in its first operation.
