The paper proposes the development and construction of a bipedal walking mechanism with a focus on planar locomotion, incorporating advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts. The two-legged walking robot employs Machine Learning (ML) for Gait Optimization to adapt its walking pattern based on factors like speed, terrain and energy efficiency. Integration of multiple sensors with AI for improved balance, utilizing predictive analytics for obstacle avoidance and collision prevention. The study includes a GUI developed using Python to facilitate user interaction. A comprehensive literature survey on obstacle avoidance contributes to the understanding of existing approaches. In this paper, we explore the intersection of robotics and AI, discussing key technologies, challenges, and potential future developments. ML algorithms and computer vision play pivotal roles in enabling robots to acquire and apply knowledge etc.. © Grenze Scientific Society, 2024.

Among all electrified transportation instruments, electric vehicles (EVs) garnered high mark lately and are becoming increasingly popular trends because they can both vie with and surpass vehicles powered by fossil fuel. Enhancing range of vehicle driving and minimizing energy utilization are the main goals of EV advancement. These are necessary goals that can only be met by enhancing and advancing motor performance. With the peak power density and capabilities compared with other motors, brushless direct current (BLDC) motor is best option for electric vehicles (EVs). In addition to their excellent performance in position and speed controls, BLDCs are becoming more and more common in EVs because they can smoothly maintain torque and reduce torque ripple. An overview of several advanced control strategies is given in this study, it also discusses the different fault that occur in BLDC motors and their mitigation strategies. In addition, current issues and challenges in developing torque ripple mitigation management systems are discussed, along with comparisons and recommendations for further research on electric vehicle technology. Lastly, the importance and possible consequences of BLDC motor drive in EVs with various control schemes are revealed via evaluation research. © 2025 IEEE.

This paper details the power flow management in a three-port converter (TPC) for a solar lighting system. Integrating a photovoltaic (PV) source, battery storage, and load, it optimizes energy use and ensures a reliable power supply. The TPC enables efficient power transfer, allowing seamless energy flow from the PV source to the battery for charging and from the battery to the load. The system, derived from traditional DC/DC converters, operates in buck mode for daytime charging and boost mode for nighttime LED power. controlled by a Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) signal, the bidirectional converter ensures effective power flow. Simulation and experimental results validate the system, with prototype testing demonstrating performance under various conditions. © 2024 IEEE.

With the advanced technology and numerous research on making the lifestyle a lot better, the conception of smart kitchen has been introduced. Kitchen is the important part of our lifestyle particularly when it comes to health. In this scholarly article, an innovative concept known as the Enhanced Kitchen with Quality and Quantity Monitoring (EKQQM), which serves to oversee and regulate the caliber and quantity of food items stored within the kitchen space, thereby providing regular updates to the user. This technique reduces the wastage of products and scarcity of frequently used products. The user gets the notification of the products by using a barcode scanner or an RFID module. Sensors based on temperature, moisture, load, odour, etc. are also used. The author in this article has mentioned an arrangement that can help in advancing the basic lifestyle and modifying the kitchen in a way that helps in monitoring food and reducing wastage or overstocking. © Grenze Scientific Society, 2024.

Large datasets collected over a long time and only accessed on an infrequent basis – called Big Cold Data herein – play an important role in a broad variety of data-driven applications. In managing such data and the access to it, implementing advanced access control schemes beyond mere role-based yes/no-decisions becomes decisive, given the often sensitive or personal nature of the data as well as the multitude of regulatory requirements and other constraints applying to it. Current, mostly cloud-based technologies for storing and managing Big Cold Data, however, lack that advanced access control functionalities, such as consent-based transformations, while existing approaches for implementing such functionalities do not pay sufficient regard to the particularities of Big Cold Data to offer efficient access on an infrequent basis. We therefore propose an architecture and framework (ALASCA) following the function-as-a-service (FaaS) paradigm for implementing versatile access services on cloud-managed Big Cold Data. Towards that end, we offer a first characterization of Big Cold Data and raise challenges in access control, specifically in performing custom and infrequent transformations on large heterogeneous datasets. We demonstrate the applicability of ALASCA by implementing and evaluating it for AWS and Google Cloud. Our preliminary evaluation shows the promise and practical applicability of FaaS-based access control, especially for advanced access control schemes to be applied to Big Cold Data. © 2024 by SCITEPRESS – Science and Technology Publications, Lda.

Smart energy management systems, or SEMS, are intended to increase the efficacy and efficiency of energy use in a range of contexts, including residences, workplaces, and entire communities. These systems monitor and manage energy use in real time using cutting-edge IoT and communication protocols including GSM, Zigbee, and the Internet of Things. The use of cloud computing, which enables the central storage and analysis of enormous amounts of data, is one way to implement SEMS. Anywhere with an internet connection can access this data, which can be used to track energy consumption, pinpoint areas for development, and adjust and cut down on energy waste. In addition to improving energy efficiency, SEMS can also help reduce energy costs and contribute to a more sustainable energy future. By using advanced technologies and communication protocols, these systems can help individuals, businesses, and communities make informed decisions about their energy usage and take steps to reduce their carbon footprint. © 2024 IEEE.

As the number of vehicles rises, there is a problem with traffic congestion on the roads. This problem is characterized by slower speeds, greater time spent travelling, and more congestion in the traffic lanes. In addition to raising resource prices, accidents, and environmental harm, it affects a country's economic growth. Using traffic control signals at crossings is one of the most feasible solutions to this issue. At the moment, static cycle time control are used to implement the majority of signal controllers. Conventional traffic signal control techniques are not very successful at managing circumstances with heavy traffic. Thus, the Expert System (ES), a subfield of Artificial Intelligence (AI), sometimes referred to as the Rule-Based System (RBS), is used in this work. The researchers developed a novel expert system called the Traffic Lights Expert System (TLES). TLES uses evidential reasoning as its inference engine and a rule-based knowledge representation. This technology may assign the proper dynamic cycle time at intersections. © 2025 IEEE.

In contemporary agriculture, optimizing crop yield necessitates efficient weed management and precise irrigation. This review amalgamates insights from ten studies, centering on the integration of machine learning, deep learning, and IoT technologies to address these challenges. The weed detection segment underscores advanced solutions like attention-based deep networks and visual transformers, tackling crop-weed discrimination challenges, albeit contending with issues such as high computation costs. Transitioning to precision agriculture, the paper explores machine and deep learning techniques for superior weed identification and control, offering viable integration with herbicide applicators. Challenges encompass interoperability and standardization of sensing and control protocols. The narrative then shifts to smart irrigation systems, presenting IoT-based solutions for real-time monitoring and automatic irrigation. Systems like Arduino Mega 2560 and dynamic irrigation scheduling boost crop productivity, with advantages including farmer-friendly interfaces and limitations in potential implementation costs on larger scales. In the results analysis, a collaborative impact is evident, envisioning a seamless integration of advanced technologies for sustainable and productive agriculture. Collectively, these studies signal a promising trajectory in leveraging technology to address challenges, paving the way for a new era of precision farming amid the evolving agricultural landscape. © 2024 IEEE.

Band-Stop filter is one of the key components in smart grids, wireless communications systems, radar, and signal processing. Due to the ability of suppressing signals at specific frequencies, these filters enable the rejection of unwanted signals in a particular frequency band in a crowded microwave spectra. Specifically, such filters can be utilized to mitigate the effect of harmonics in smart grids. The traditional band-stop filters suffer from lack of high suppression, reconfigurable bandwidth and frequency agility. This paper presents a novel approach to realize reconfigurable and flexible band-stop filters using the computing-in-memory (CIM) technique. The proposed scheme consists of a low-pass filter and a high-pass filter, with their corresponding coefficients programmed into an array of memristive devices. As a result, reconfigurable and low-complexity band-stop filters can be implemented, which support the realization of arbitrary filter impulse responses and high-order filters.
