In the innovation and development of modern science and technology, the cognition of human brain function is getting deeper and deeper, and it is integrated with other advanced technology theories. Among them, the most representative research field is brain-computer interface. According to the accumulated experience of practice, when people are planning to carry out a certain behavior, the brain will produce the corresponding physiological signals, and it is because of these physiological signals can reflect people's intention, and use the nervous system to control the muscle to achieve the human intention. When researching related technologies, researchers want to develop a system that can directly obtain the physiological signals of the human brain and convert them into control signals for direct external control. This system is called the brain-computer interface system. In this paper, based on the understanding of the development status of brain-computer interface system, the application performance of the system is comprehensively verified according to the system function and overall structure, and the EEG signal of the detected is analyzed by using Matlab software, and finally achieved a good accuracy. © 2023 SPIE.

The processes of acidity dynamics of the fermentation medium in biogas plants are considered. Based on the analysis of interval data, a mathematical model of the dynamics of the acidity of the fermentation medium in the form of an interval difference equation was developed. The mathematical model by solving a complex optimization problem in which the criterion function is discrete and nonlinear was obtained. For this purpose, a metaheuristic approach using a multi-agent system was used. The procedures of the multi-agent system on the basis of the behavioral model of the honey bee colony are implemented. The obtained interval difference equation has guaranteed predictive properties within the limits of experimental errors is shown. The resulting differential equation also contains a control element that balances the proportion of liquid and solid fractions of the substrate, which fully corresponds to the physical content of the simulated process. © 2024 IEEE.

Real-time surface analysis is becoming increasingly important in various fields, including industry, medicine, and transportation. This article examines the problem of remote monitoring of surface texture in real time. The authors review the methods and techniques used for this task, focusing on high-precision technologies such as computer vision, laser scanning, and image processing techniques. The paper examines the importance of this real-time approach to support accurate and rapid decisions in industrial processes and medical diagnostics. The authors propose a method for detecting texture artifacts with machine learning and analyze the performance and quality of possible variations of its application. Based on the discussion, the authors draw conclusions regarding the effectiveness and prospects of the proposed approach in real-time remote monitoring of surface textures. While a large number of supervised learning methods have been proposed to handle the unordered point clouds and achieved remarkable success, their performance is limited to the costly data annotation. In this work, we propose a novel self-supervised pre-training model for point cloud learning without human annotations, which relies solely on upsampling operation to perform feature learning of point cloud in an effective manner. The key observation of our approach is that upsampling operation encourages the network to capture both high-level semantic information and low-level geometric information of the point cloud. As a result, the downstream tasks such as classification and segmentation will benefit from the pre-trained model. And our method outperforms previous methods in shape classification, part segmentation. © 2024 IEEE.

Greenhouse agriculture has emerged as a critical component in addressing global food security challenges, experiencing rapid growth and technological integration in recent years. This paper presents GreenSight, an IoT-based automated greenhouse monitoring system designed to optimize plant growth conditions while enhancing operational efficiency. Leveraging advanced technologies such as the NodeMCU ESP8266 microcontroller and DHT22 sensor, GreenSight facilitates real-time environmental monitoring and control within the greenhouse environment. The system incorporates actuators including SG90 servo motors, 9V DC motors, and mist atomizers to regulate atmospheric conditions tailored to diverse plant species' requirements. Additionally, a user-friendly Android application enables remote access and configuration. Ten (10) experts specializing in information technology and computer engineering assessed the prototype using ISO 9126 evaluation criteria. The Likert Scale was employed for interpretation. According to the evaluation, the project attained an overall mean of 3.32, indicating that it satisfies requirements concerning functionality, reliability, efficiency, usability, maintainability, and portability.

The integration of cruise control into vehicles plays a crucial role in the domain of advanced driver assistance systems. Functionally, cruise control relies on a Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) controller to maintain the vehicle's velocity at a predetermined setpoint. Traditional parameter tuning of the PID controller often results in oscillatory output, prolonged rise time, and extended settling duration. To address these issues, we introduce the Red Panda Optimization (RPO) algorithm to optimize the PID controller parameters, thereby enhancing both the accuracy and stability of the vehicle's cruise control mechanism. By accounting for the inherent nonlinearities and dynamic characteristics of the system, the RPO algorithm determines the controller gain while simultaneously identifying the optimal value through an evaluation of the integral time square error. To validate and verify the performance of our proposed system, we conducted simulations using a Bode plot within the MATLAB R2023a framework. The implemented algorithm for the adaptive cruise control system demonstrates improved responsiveness and heightened system stability, as evidenced by reduced rise time, minimized latency, and diminished overshoot. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper addresses a significant challenge that has emerged over the last few decades: the application of nature-inspired computing to develop advanced control systems in robotics. By drawing on concepts and algorithms derived from biological phenomena, the research seeks to enhance the behavior and performance of mobile robots in diverse environments and operational scenarios. This study focuses on the application of living cell functions and communication models to design reconfigurable control systems that leverage parallel and concurrent data processing. To achieve this, the paper proposes the structure of a computing cell, a Venn diagram of the control system grounded in the membrane computing model, and a functional diagram of the control system. These foundations support the prototyping and deployment of a sensor array for managing the position of mobile robots within their workspace. ©2024 IEEE.

Verification and Validation (V&V) of Safety Critical Software such as that of Flight control computer is an effort intensive and critical task. Accordingly standards like DO178C lay much importance on the V&V aspects of the airborne software. Generation of typical and relevant test vectors over short sequences of time, calculating the expected outputs on a frame-by-frame basis and thus confirming the behavior of the software are daunting tasks. This paper brings out a Model Based Test (MBT) Framework to accelerate the functional testing. The Framework leverages the fact that, key and functional aspects of flight control such as control Laws including advanced features such as Auto pilot are modeled and validated through simulation studies before generating software requirements. The Framework provides GUI based utilities to generate test vectors involving several external inputs over time durations such as 10 seconds covering multiple requirements. Such vectors are converted in to frame-by-frame test matrix which is fed to both the model and the program under test. The outputs of the model and program are automatically compared and differences beyond threshold are flagged for examination. The Framework additionally generates structural coverage reports both at the model and code levels which are the means to figure out that not only 100% MC/DC for the code is achieved but also there are no missing requirements. These coverage reports provide confidence and certification credits.

Insider threats present a formidable security challenge in corporate environments, distinct from external threats due to insiders' intricate knowledge of an organization's access infrastructure, policies, and scheduling. The complexity, time, and expertise required to detect, model, and timestamp insider threats render them especially challenging to mitigate. While various strategies to counter insider threats have been proposed, our research introduces a novel approach to counter insider threats by combining Function-Based Access control (FBAC) with honey traps, enhancing our capability to proactively identify and monitor potential insider threats. The incorporation of the Honey Trap Factor (H) allows us to quantify the effectiveness of our honey traps in a novel manner. The rigorous evaluation of our approach demonstrates its ability to detect correlated attributes and adapt policy sets, marking a substantial step forward in proactive insider threat detection and mitigation.
