This paper aims to study the application of three-dimensional digital technology in the protection and restoration of cultural relics, explore how to protect precious cultural relics through advanced digital means, and solve the challenges that traditional protection methods cannot cope with. With the increasing demand for cultural relic protection, three-dimensional scanning and digital modeling technology provide innovative solutions for the preservation, display and restoration of cultural relics, especially in high-precision acquisition and detail restoration. Through three-dimensional digital means, not only can every detail of the cultural relics be accurately recorded, but also interactive display of cultural relics can be realized in a virtual environment, providing new possibilities for future restoration and education. This study not only opens up a new path for the digital protection and restoration of cultural relics, but also provides new technical means for the interactivity and education of future cultural relic displays. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Due to a rising number of entities and more advanced systems, modern air combat engagements are increasing in complexity. Therefore, to ensure success in pilot training and perform accurate threat evaluation using simulations, it is substantial to not only replicate and simulate the physical properties of the computer-Generated forces (CGFs) to an adequate degree but also to provide them with sufficiently realistic, coordinated and situation-adaptive behavior. Additionally, most air combat research assumes that all aircraft information is known, however, in real-world scenarios, multiple factors, such as sensor performance limitations, can lead to missing or incorrect information about the position, altitude, or velocity of adversary aircraft. In this paper, we propose a Tactical Planning Process as part of an overarching CGF Team Behavior Agent Function utilizing information such as threat risk and the enemy's intent from a Situation Analysis created with realistically available data. This process is partitioned into two stages, Team Planning and Maneuver Selection. Team Planning consists of deciding whether the mission itself should be commenced or aborted, selecting Tactics to counter the threats, as well as performing a Targeting in which threat aircraft are assigned to the individual CGFs. Further, in Maneuver Selection, the own current risks are assessed and used to continuously decide the current task for each CGF with respect to its target. Following, the maneuver command itself is being selected and sent to the simulated aircraft. This is done within an evaluation of the own chances and risks by, in a first step, identifying suitable tactical maneuver types, in a second step, narrow down their parameters, so that, in the final step, predicted risks from the Situation Analysis can be incorporated in the selection process as well. The rapid evolution of artificial intelligence, big data, and generative AI models has ushered in significant transformations across various sectors, including education. Digital Human Technique, an innovative technology grounded in advanced computer science and artificial intelligence, is reshaping educational paradigms by enabling virtual humans to simulate human behavior, express emotions, and interact with users. This paper explores the application of Digital Human Technique in education reform, focusing on creating immersive, intelligent classroom experiences that foster meaningful interactions between teachers and students. We define Digital Human Technique and delve into its key technical components such as character modeling and rendering, natural language processing, computer vision, and augmented reality technologies. Our methodology involves analyzing the role of educational digital humans created through these technologies, assessing their impact on educational processes, and examining various application scenarios in educational reform. Results indicate that Digital Human Technique significantly enhances the learning experience by enabling personalized teaching, increasing engagement, and fostering emotional connections. educational digital humans serve as virtual teachers, interactive learning aids, and facilitators of emotional interaction, effectively addressing the challenges of traditional educational methods. The increasing demand for effective methods to recognize digital handwritten Arabic text has led to the creation of numerous online Arabic manuscript datasets to validate handwriting recognition systems. This tendency has been intensified, especially after the increasing use of devices dependent on digital pen writing, which requires continuous development to achieve an advanced stage of discrimination. This research aims to resolve the confusion problem in choosing a convenient open-source dataset that researchers can use to develop and examine handwriting recognition methods. This paper provides inclusive benchmarking of available and state-of-the-art online Arabic manuscript datasets and their unique features. It also provides a brief overview of the preprocessing and feature extraction methods used in the most important research. research findings include identifying the most efficient databases and providing recommendations for future use. © 2025 SPIE.

The development of automatic driving, unmanned aerial vehicle detection and virtual reality cannot be separated from the research of 3D point cloud. Existing studies either lack of local shape capture and local spatial feature description of point cloud, resulting in poor accuracy of point cloud classification network, or pursue fine and complex local feature extractors, sacrificing extraction time and memory overhead to extract classification progress, but the results show that the effect is not significantly improved. Therefore, this paper proposes a Point cloud classification method based on Local Point Dynamic Edge Graph Convolution and Global Information Fusion. Among them, the local point dynamic edge graph convolution module improves the edge graph convolution, which can improve the local extraction feature effect without deepening the local feature extractor, and reduce the time and memory overhead. The global information fusion block concatenates multi-layer local features to extract and fuse feature information to improve the classification accuracy of the network. Our network is tested on the public datasets ModelNet40 dataset and ScanObjectNN dataset. The results show that compared with the current mainstream point cloud classification algorithms, the point cloud classification accuracy of the proposed classification method is improved, and it has good robustness. © 2025 SPIE.

In recent years, spiking neural networks (SNNs) have gained significant attention in visual recognition tasks due to the low computational energy. However, most SNNs have a large number of parameters, which limits their use on resource-limited devices. In this paper, we propose an Ensemble Binary Spiking Neural Network (EB-SNN) for accurate and memory-friendly visual recognition. The EB-SNN is modeled by Ensemble Binary Weights (EBW) module, which integrates multiple binary weights for lightweight SNN modeling. Meanwhile, we propose Knowledge Alignment Strategy to ensure that the EB-SNN can approximate a well-trained SNN for good performance. Experimental results show that the EB-SNN can achieve accuracy of 95.39% on CIFAR10, using 9.3% memory of full-precision SNN. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

Minimally invasive pediatric surgery presents ergonomic challenges that significantly increase the risk of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) among surgeons due to prolonged periods of suboptimal posture. This study introduces a real-time posture monitoring and correction system designed to address this issue. The system utilizes depth camera technology, interactive feedback mechanisms, advanced skeletal tracking, and ergonomic assessment algorithms to continuously monitor and evaluate surgeons’ posture. Through rapid data processing, the system provides real-time feedback, enabling immediate posture adjustments during surgical procedures. It delivers non-intrusive alerts to inform medical staff when incorrect postures are detected, thereby promoting ergonomic well-being and reducing the incidence of MSDs. Designed for seamless integration into the perioperative environment, the system meets strict requirements for privacy, sterility, and operational efficiency. Beyond its application in surgical practice, the system can also enhance surgical education and training by providing real-time feedback, enabling personalized learning pathways, and gamified simulation exercises. It provides detailed analyses of trainee performance, enabling instructors to deliver targeted feedback and develop adaptive training strategies based on detected posture deviations. The rapid evolution of generative artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping educational landscapes., particularly in computer science education. This study investigates research trends in generative AI applications through text network and topic modeling analyses. A comprehensive literature review across IEEE Xplore., Scopus., and Web of Science identified 151 studies published between 2023 and 2024. Text network analysis revealed that “AI.,” “student.,” “education.,” “learning.,” and “performance” were the most frequently occurring terms., highlighting key research themes. Ego-network analysis demonstrated strong interconnectivity between educational AI tools and student learning outcomes. Using Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA)., four major research topics emerged: educational chatbots (35.1 %)., AI literacy (25.8%)., exam performance (21.8%)., and technology integration (17.2 % ). Findings indicate a dominant focus on chatbots for student engagement., while ethical concerns and multimodal AI applications remain underexplored. The study underscores the necessity of addressing AI literacy gaps and enhancing interdisciplinary AI integration in educational settings. Despite its potential., generative AI adoption is hindered by privacy risks., uneven technological access., and the lack of standardized policies. Future research should focus on ethical AI frameworks., multimodal AI tools., and long-term learning outcomes. This study provides a data-driven foundation for understanding the evolving role of generative AI in education and its implications for educators., policymakers., and researchers.

Historical Role-Playing Games (RPGs) allow players to immerse themselves in past worlds, experiencing firsthand various social, political, and economic realities. Given this potential, further research is necessary to explore practical and innovative methods for integrating historical information into gameplay mechanics. We developed the Player’s Guide (PG) for a TableTop RPG (TTRPG), systematically incorporating social and political elements from a specific historical era.
