Hydraulic presses are widely used as a kind of metal forming machinery. However, the computer-aided design and computer-aided engineering (CAD/CAE) technology is not used frequently in hydraulic press design, resulting in low efficiency. Taking the hydraulic press as the research object, this paper develops the CAD system of the hydraulic press based on the secondary development of SolidWorks, realizing the parametric modeling of the hydraulic press. Combined with CAE technology, the application of Ansys software in the finite element analysis of the hydraulic press is also introduced.

In the context of nonlinear and uncertain manipulator systems, achieving fast and accurate desired trajectories for each joint of the manipulator is crucial. Our study aims to improve current control methods by combining sliding mode control and neural network techniques. Specifically, we leverage the neural networks’ approximation capabilities to estimate both the modeling error and external disturbance in our research. These estimates are then integrated into the synovial control as additional gains. This approach allows for the sliding mode controller’s switch gain to adapt to changing modeling error and external disturbance, thereby avoiding the vibration production typically associated with traditional sliding mode controllers. It can be observed from the simulation results that the combination of the proposed nonsingular terminal sliding mode controller and neural network achieves fast and precise tracking of desired trajectories. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

This work-in-progress paper introduces an innovative approach that uses computational notebooks to teach Finite Element Analysis (FEA) in a Mechanical Engineering undergraduate course to aid the understanding of complex phenomena in Mechanics of Materials, and enhance students' computational thinking skills. research indicates that students, irrespective of their educational level, face difficulties in grasping fundamental concepts in mechanics of materials. These challenges arise from the inherent complexity of concepts like stress, strain, torsion, and buckling, which are difficult to observe, hindering comprehension. Therefore, this work aims to leverage the synergy between mechanics of materials and computational principles to actively engage students in advanced topics such as structural strength, failure of structures, and sensitivity analysis, through the use of computational notebooks. To evaluate the effectiveness of this approach, we first asked students to analyze truss structures using hand calculations following the discrete stiffness method within a Finite Element Analysis framework. Subsequently, we implemented the same method as a simulation tool in a MATLAB Computational Notebook. Finally, we asked the students to reflect on: (1) the value of using computational methods to approach Finite Element Analysis when compared to hand calculations;(2) the difficulties they faced when implementing the activities in the MATLAB Computational Notebook;(3) the support they required to successfully complete these activities;and (4) the effectiveness of the simulation tool in understanding the effect of forces and stress distributions in structures. We anticipate that computational notebooks will provide an ideal platform for sharing lessons and tutorials, enhancing student engagement, and promoting active learning. A new window of space has unlocked the development of depressed-capacity, speedy ocular structures by way of current breakthroughs in a photonic crystal. Photonic crystals will authorize AND gates, which are the fundamental elements in incorporated computer circuits for mathematical plans. This research provides an order for reconstructing the effectiveness of AND gates that is to say established machine intelligence. To train on a dataset, use the Extra Trees Regressor model. Using the judgments from the imitation to forecast the power production for miscellaneous scenes for recommendation and limits. The verdicts signify that the model can create precise forecasts about the product capacity utilizing a Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) A RMSE of 0.18. The model is therefore used to find the highest in-rank principles for the mesh constant and pole range. The ideal values for R and x are driven by expected 0.05 um and 0.12 um, individually. Using the Extra Trees Regressor's prophecies for dependent computations, the research delves further into the addition process for optical port outputs. The effect of determinants like bar sweep and mesh fixed on fence functioning is intentional in detail, with accompanying importance on how these limits influence the achievement of advantageous yield states. The results of the simulation illustrate well that the amended limits can imitate the AND door behaviour in the photonic clear model © 2024 IEEE.

We propose an all-digital phase-locked loop (ADPLL) generator that automatically selects a design solution from a given input specifications and generates the layout using place-and-route (PnR) tool within 1.2 hours. While SPICE simulation-based modeling for a PLL is impractical due to its heavy computational intensity, all-digital architecture enables the use of theory-based frequency domain model for predicting the output specification, once the oscillator performance is characterized. The cell-based digitally controlled oscillator (DCO) is modeled by extracting the PDK and cell specific constants that characterizes the effective current to capacitance ratio from 3 sets of SPICE simulations. The constants are then used to predict the analog performance with an analytical model, which shows error rate less than 1.5% for estimating frequency range and power consumption. 8 generated PLL designs and their post-parasitic performances are compared to input specifications, including one measurement result from a fabricated chip in 65nm CMOS process. © 2023 IEEE.

The development of automatic driving, unmanned aerial vehicle detection and virtual reality cannot be separated from the research of 3D point cloud. Existing studies either lack of local shape capture and local spatial feature description of point cloud, resulting in poor accuracy of point cloud classification network, or pursue fine and complex local feature extractors, sacrificing extraction time and memory overhead to extract classification progress, but the results show that the effect is not significantly improved. Therefore, this paper proposes a Point cloud classification method based on Local Point Dynamic Edge Graph Convolution and Global Information Fusion. Among them, the local point dynamic edge graph convolution module improves the edge graph convolution, which can improve the local extraction feature effect without deepening the local feature extractor, and reduce the time and memory overhead. The global information fusion block concatenates multi-layer local features to extract and fuse feature information to improve the classification accuracy of the network. Our network is tested on the public datasets ModelNet40 dataset and ScanObjectNN dataset. The results show that compared with the current mainstream point cloud classification algorithms, the point cloud classification accuracy of the proposed classification method is improved, and it has good robustness. © 2025 SPIE.

In this paper, the real-time rendering and interaction of 3D objects in augmented reality (AR) environment are studied, and a novel lighting model and scene management framework are proposed. Firstly, a mathematical model of the relationship between the surface irradiance and the real light source is established by analyzing the irradiance variation of the location mark surface in the video. The model can iteratively calculate the intensity and direction of the light source in the scene in real time during the interaction process, so as to achieve accurate simulation of the lighting effect of three-dimensional objects. In this paper, the illumination model is integrated into an efficient augmented reality application development framework based on scene management. The framework not only supports fast rendering of 3D objects, but also handles complex interaction logic. In this paper, a smooth position transformation mapping algorithm between 2D and 3D coordinates is proposed to ensure smooth and correct user interaction experience in AR environment. Experimental results show that the proposed technique can significantly improve the rendering speed and interactive responsiveness of 3D objects in augmented reality, while maintaining a high level of visual effects. © 2024 IEEE.
