Digital twin, with captured as-is information, provides potential for condition monitoring and inspection of the built environment. However, the state-of-the-art digital twin lacks a systematic approach to observing the environment and communicating information to the facility manager due to the incomplete data description capabilities. In addition, capturing as-built geometric information would enhance the digital twin towards smart facility management, but the current employment of 2D computer vision provides limited support to reflect the building conditions for maintenance management. Therefore, this paper presents an AI-based digital twinning approach for automated joint 3D scene reconstruction and semantic enrichment to incorporate the as-is information of the built environment. Two works are researched sequentially: the first concerns integrating BIM data schema with Sensor Model Language (SensorML) to enhance sensor description capability for assorted information queries, and the second focuses on an automated 3D reconstruction and defect detection to enrich digital twin with the as-is condition of the built environment. It is envisaged that the research will contribute to a new method to enhance the digital twin for the built environment including a scientific approach for data mapping between the BIM domain and sensing domain and a new framework for capturing accurate as-built geometric information on the digital twin.

Amortized Bayesian inference trains neural networks to solve stochastic inference problems using model simulations, thereby making it possible to rapidly perform Bayesian inference for any newly observed data. However, current simulation-based amortized inference methods are simulation-hungry and inflexible: They require the specification of a fixed parametric prior, simulator, and inference tasks ahead of time. Here, we present a new amortized inference method-the Simformer-which overcomes these limitations. By training a probabilistic diffusion model with transformer architectures, the Simformer outperforms current state-of-the-art amortized inference approaches on benchmark tasks and is substantially more flexible: It can be applied to models with function-valued parameters, it can handle inference scenarios with missing or unstructured data, and it can sample arbitrary conditionals of the joint distribution of parameters and data, including both posterior and likelihood. We showcase the performance and flexibility of the Simformer on simulators from ecology, epidemiology, and neuroscience, and demonstrate that it opens up new possibilities and application domains for amortized Bayesian inference on simulation-based models. The most frequent outcomes of traffic collisions between vehicles and bridge guardrails are severe injury, damage to the vehicles, and compromised integrity of guardrails. Special element codes typically approximate guardrail deformations from impacts. However, the FEAs now provide a refined alternative way of modeling these dynamics of collision. This paper presents an FEA-based Wave Beam Guardrail, the FEA-wBG method, which reduces impact severity for enhanced safety on expressways. An assessment of various collision scenarios preceded this through running simulations of impacts with speed and angles taken to different limits using the LS-DYNA finite element solver. These simulations model real crash conditions, showing the energy absorption of guardrails and force distribution concerning time, enabling the engineers to predict structural deformation and assess guardrail effectiveness in mitigating the collision's severity and protecting vehicle occupants. Finite element analysis has been at the core of the research into the safety of roadsides for over thirty years. Explicit dynamic finite element analyses like LS-DYNA complement physical crash tests. The simulation failures point out the weakness in the design, hence that used in constructing stronger guardrail systems. The retested models show that the proposed FEA-wBG method correlates well with the physical test results by producing a match of 97.2% in crash indicators, 96.7% in head injury prediction, and also giving accurate results in energy, deformation, and force calculation. Its outcome has translated into improved vehicle containment, fewer injuries to occupants, and better-informed, safer roadside protection design of expressways. © 2024 IEEE.

As a new type of advanced simulation teaching aids and interactive methods, the virtual simulation system attracts the love of relevant demanders and uses them for learning and research with its unique novel and convenient advantages. In this paper, an experimental system of practical computer virtual simulation technology is designed. The experimental area is developed in C# language using Java tools, and is programmed with design ideas such as object-oriented modeling, support for interactivity and automatic control functions. In terms of software, SQL statements are used to build a model to complete the whole training process to simulate the real world;in terms of content, Web pages and database are combined to build a knowledge network learning environment (BPO);a simple online test system is provided through the course Q&A platform for users to do use and to give corresponding answers to different versions of questions. © 2022 SPIE.

We now understand the value of practicing social distance thanks to COVID-19. The only way to meet our basic necessities in the year 2020 due to a sudden global lockdown was through e-commerce websites and online purchasing, and since technology has advanced, having a website online is now essential. All of these items, including meals, groceries, and our go-to clothing, are now available online. During the shutdown, it was seen that the firms with no social media presence faced significant losses. On the other hand, those who had already developed a web presence noticed a sharp increase in their overall sales. This research explores how recent developments in AI and ML have increased sales across a range of industries. After making a lot of observations and analyzing the consumer behavior patterns that affect sales, the ML model eventually contributes to the creation of an algorithm that is an effective recommendation system. This study also covers how transactions can be safeguarded and authenticated with the help of blockchain technology and cyber security, which has helped e-commerce businesses thrive by winning over customers' trust. © 2022 IEEE.

Data analytics has been a game-changing instrument in sports in recent years, transforming strategies for strategic planning and performance optimization. The use of data analytics to improve sports performance is examined in this study, with a particular emphasis on the advanced approaches that can be used to enhance player performance, team strategy, and game outcomes overall. Sports data analytics uses a variety of techniques, such as machine learning algorithms for predictive modeling and statistical analysis of player metrics. This study focuses on adopting GANs to synthesize financial data a solution intended to address the challenges of data privacy and availability and limited access to actual financial data. To address such temporal dynamics involved in the datasets, and the advanced statistical properties, recent enhanced GAN structures including TimeGAN, Conditional GAN, and WGAN are used. This work also shows that the studied models excel compared to a conventional GANs while creating more realistic synthetic data for financial datasets. This data which is generated is checked to ensure that it conformed with the statistical measures such as mean, variance, auto correlation and volatility. Moreover, the applicability of synthetic data is tested based on the performance of using them in different financial roles, including algorithmic trading, risk analysis, fraud detection, and credit scoring with the small decline in comparison to real data. This research therefore posits that GAN-generated data can be used as a reliable and efficient replacement for real data in financial modeling and machine learning applications;thus offering a novel solution to ever increasing demand for secure high quality financial data. © 2024 IEEE.

The rapid evolution of generative artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping educational landscapes., particularly in computer science education. This study investigates research trends in generative AI applications through text network and topic modeling analyses. A comprehensive literature review across IEEE Xplore., Scopus., and Web of Science identified 151 studies published between 2023 and 2024. Text network analysis revealed that “AI.,” “student.,” “education.,” “learning.,” and “performance” were the most frequently occurring terms., highlighting key research themes. Ego-network analysis demonstrated strong interconnectivity between educational AI tools and student learning outcomes. Using Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA)., four major research topics emerged: educational chatbots (35.1 %)., AI literacy (25.8%)., exam performance (21.8%)., and technology integration (17.2 % ). Findings indicate a dominant focus on chatbots for student engagement., while ethical concerns and multimodal AI applications remain underexplored. The study underscores the necessity of addressing AI literacy gaps and enhancing interdisciplinary AI integration in educational settings. Despite its potential., generative AI adoption is hindered by privacy risks., uneven technological access., and the lack of standardized policies. Future research should focus on ethical AI frameworks., multimodal AI tools., and long-term learning outcomes. This study provides a data-driven foundation for understanding the evolving role of generative AI in education and its implications for educators., policymakers., and researchers.

UHV converter transformer bushing digital twin platform includes the typical power equipment such as valve side bushing and support structure of the UHV converter transformer. For its typical power equipment, 3D modeling is generally carried out through digital modeling, but the surface temperature and electric field strength values of the equipment can be sensed through the temperature sensors. This process includes material performance research and theoretical formula research, the material research mainly includes the relationship between the real part of the dielectric constant and temperature variation. At the same time, quantitatively describe the 3D relationship between the tangent value of the loss angle of the bushing core material of the ultra-high voltage converter transformer and the temperature, and use the neural network function RBF neural network for quantitative fitting. The fitting results indicate that the error is close to 0 in most regions, and only exists near the low-frequency range of 100Hz. The above errors are caused by the edge effect of the numerical nonlinear fitting. Within the testing range of the 10-4 104Hz, the dielectric response characteristics of pure epoxy and epoxy impregnated paper can usually be described using the modified Cole-Cole model that includes single or two relaxation processes. On the other hand, online monitoring of SF6 gas inside the casing is carried out, and the time-sharing multiplexing is used to convert the electrical signals carrying spectral information after photoelectric conversion into current and voltage, and filter and amplify them. The monitoring results indicate that when a temperature sensor is installed on the surface of the bushing, the bushing generates temperature heating under current carrying conditions. After the temperature heating, the temperature value gradually increases over time and tends to stabilize. After value stabilizes, it can reach 100 °C, and bushing oil temperature is about 80°
