In pig production software and electronic systems are widely used for process control and management. Unfortunately most devices on farms are proprietary solutions and autonomically working. To unify data communication of devices in agricultural husbandry, the international standard ISOagriNET (ISO 17532:2007) was developed. It defines data formats and exchange protocols, to link up devices like climate controls, feeding systems and sensors, but also management software. The aim of the research project, "Information and Data Collection in Livestock Systems" is to develop an ISOagriNET compliant IT system, a so called Farming Cell. It integrates all electronic components to acquire the available data and information for pig fattening. That way, an additional benefit to humans, animals and the environment regarding process control and documentation, can be generated. Developing the Farming Cell is very complex;in detail it is very difficult and long-winded to integrate hardware and software by various vendors into an ISOagriNET compliant IT system. This ISOagriNET prototype shows as a test environment the potential of this new standard.

This paper describes a methodology for controller and communication scheduling co-design in control systems operating over wirelessHART networks. Data collection and dissemination operations are identified and scheduled to minimize the nominal communication latency. Techniques for improving the reliability of the network when link transmissions are unreliable are discussed, and a Markov-chain model for computing the latency distribution of data collection operations for a given schedule is proposed. The resulting latency models allow to represent the networked control loop as a jump-linear system, whose performance can be analyzed using techniques from stochastic control. We demonstrate how this framework can be used to co-design a networked LQG controller for a five-by-five MIMO control loop.

This paper researches on the transaction mechanism in ForCES router, based on the analysis of transaction requirement of ForCES, two phase commit algorithm is introduced and a state-machine based transaction implementation scheme is proposed. ForCES router test bed is built. The experiment result verifies the correctness and feasibility of the transaction mechanism proposed and implemented.

We consider a type of applications where collaboration and trust are tightly coupled with the need to protect sensitive information. Existing trust management technologies have been limited to offering generic mechanisms for enforcing access control policies based on exchanged credentials, and rarely deal with the situated meaning of trust in a specific collaborative context. Towards trust management for highly dynamic and collaborative activities, this paper describes a theory of trust intention and semantics that makes explicit connections between collaborative activities and trust. The model supports inferring trust state based on knowledge about state of collaborative activity. It is the first step towards a unified approach for computer-mediated trust communication in the context of collaborative work.

In this paper, a learning controller is designed based on wavelet series approach for kinematic path tracking control of a mobile robot. In this approach wavelet series approximation is used to approximate the desired and actual trajectories of the mobile robot system into finite number of wavelet coefficients. A learning controller is designed in wavelet domain which forces the wavelet coefficients of the actual output approach to the corresponding wavelet coefficients of the desired trajectory, which are known constants, such that the tracking of mobile robot is achieved. Topology control algorithms in mobile ad-hoc networks aim to reduce the power consumption while keeping the topology connected. These algorithms can preserve network resources and increase network capacity. However, few efforts have focused on the issue of topology control in presence of node mobility. One of the notable mobility aware topology control protocols is the "Mobility Aware Distributed Topology control Protocol". The main drawback of this protocol is on its mobility prediction method. This prediction method assumes linear movements and is unable to cope with sudden changes in the mobile node movements. In this paper, we propose a pattern matching based mobility prediction method in which every mobile node predicts its future location through finding similar patterns in its history of movements. Simulation results show significant improvements in terms of prediction accuracy and power consumption compared to the other known algotithms.

In this paper, we have studied high-speed network Congestion control problem from two levels of end system and communication subnet. First of all, a high-speed network congestion control model is presented based on HSTCP algorithm. From the aspect of control theory, we research AQM algorithm in communication subnet of high-speed network and give a design method of AQM controller based on genetic neural network and intelligent PID. In the system, we add two key parts into traditional PID controller. The first part is application of neural network, which is responsible for adjusting PID controller parameters online. The second part takes use of global convergence in genetic algorithm and sets up genetic neural network model to optimize weight coefficients and for neural network. In this paper, we integrate the advantages of genetic algorithm, neural network and PID control model, by which a high-speed network congestion control model is set up based on genetic neural network and PID, by which, a new AQM algorithm is designed for high-speed network based on HSTCP/AQM model that is called IPAQM. In this way, we have opened a new approach for foundation of high-speed network congestion control model and research of AQM algorithm.
