The field of “Internet of Things” (IoT) technology is exploding because of the quick advancements in automation technologies, embedded systems, and networking. It has become an integral part of Home Automation which is the combination of sensor networks, cloud computing, monitoring, and control. This paper discusses networking and provides two distinct methods for managing network-connected appliances as well as two different strategies for controlling the connected appliances and devices resulting in the enhancement of the system's robustness and overall stability. LoRa and 2.4GHz Wi-Fi technology have been used for the networking architecture of the appliances. Direct load control and phase angle-based voltage control methods are designed and developed for controlling the connected appliances. The distinct wireless technologies increase the stability of data transmission while ensuring minimum power consumption. AC voltage control methodology followed in this research also improves the robustness of the control systems. A mobile application platform is also developed and presented in this paper which is used to monitor and control the appliances, also known as sensor nodes.

The rise in peer-to-peer (P2P) networking has been tremendous in last several years; a large amount of network bandwidth backbone is consumed by P2P traffic. Although many methods have been proposed to manage P2P traffic, these methods require a lot of knowledge about the workloads and are generally difficult to implement. In this paper, we propose a mechanism of traffic cache based on P2P networks and simply modify LRU algorithm to improve cache hit ratio. A series of simulation experiments on the OMNeT++ show that the mechanism can greatly increase the proportion of local area network traffic while P2P downloads are done and effectively reduce the cross-border traffic for having a good way to reduce backbone load.

Traditional RBAC model describes a static access control policy. As the development of network application, such as Web services, access control faces many new challenges, one of which is that access control policies need to protect not only static resources but also dynamic ones that are encapsulated in a service. In order to capture the flexibility of application, we specify a fine-grained control on individual users by introducing user attributes which are associated to user's role and permission. We take the service as an action that changes some of user's attributes so as to adjust users' permission at run. In order to represent and reason on the access control automatically, we use the description logics combined with prepositional dynamic logic as a logic framework to construct a knowledge base for the access control and action rules, and semantically explain how a user's permission can be changed at runtime.

Traffic signal control (TSC) is a classic application scenario in multi-agent systems. There are thousands of traffic lights in a city. In the training of a multi-agent system, it takes a lot of resources to make a model for each agent, and the training is very difficult. At present, most schemes use only one model for all agents and obtain actions by inputting the current state of the agent. Such a method in the actual intersection will be difficult to reflect on their differences. Therefore, we propose a method to classify intersections. GCN and Q-learning are combined to find its partner for the same type of intersection and share a model. Different models are used for different types of intersections. This not only maintains the difference between intersections, but also saves the cost of resources. The experiment proves that our scheme is superior.

In the past few years, the modular multilevel converter (MMC) has seen extensive application in the highvoltage sector. The MMC is composed of multiple similar submodules. To ensure the optimal functioning of the MMC, it is imperative to maintain a balance between the voltages of the upper and lower arms of the capacitor. Additionally, it is essential to suppress the alternating current components of the circulating current. In this paper, an observer-based timevarying linear-quadratic control approach that has timevarying feedback gains for achieving stable and voltagebalanced operation while simultaneously decreasing the ac components of the circulating current. An observer is used to estimate the state variables of the MMC system, such as voltages and currents, which are not directly measurable, has been investigated. The simulations were conducted utilizing a single-phase half-bridge Modular Multilevel Converter (MMC) comprising ten submodules [1]. The results of both the theoretical study and the simulation are provided and discussed here. The simulation results confirm the efficacy of the suggested control approach.

The fast evolution of technology and the availability of huge datasets have enabled the improvement of extra sophisticated algorithms and equipment to improve the efficacy of best management practices amongst multinational corporations (MNCs). Advanced algorithms, which include system getting-to-know and synthetic Intelligence (AI), have been used to improve the effectiveness of first-class manipulation within MNCs by automating techniques, detecting anomalies, optimizing useful resource allocation, and more. This paper explores the impact of advanced algorithmic answers on best management practices within MNCs. The research objectives are to have a look at the consequences of the usage of superior algorithms on the processes and practice of best control within MNCs. A case study method changed into follows that specializes in 3 big MNCs. A survey was carried out with first-class manage employees at every organization to determine their perceptions of advanced algorithms’ impact.

We illustrate the effective use of ATIM (ad hoc traffic indication message) window in static sensors to obtain potential energy savings for sensors during data dissemination in wireless sensor networks. The network consists of resource-rich mobile sink node and resource-constrained sensor nodes forming a square grid. Sink may be multihop away from the sensor nodes and in order to collect the data, it moves to the vicinity of the sensor nodes in the grid. Each sensor node in the grid uses an ATIM window and sleeps during that time to conserve energy. The sleeping sensor node wakes up at regular interval of time to read the beacon messages. If the message comes from sink, sensor node immediately reads the header part of query packet to check whether it is the targeted sensor. The targeted sensor further reads the remaining part of query packet and responds back to the sink with requested data. The rest of the sensor nodes just ignore the remaining part of the query packet and go to sleep mode. If the message comes from the peer sensor node, the neighbor nodes just ignore it. We consider an affordable wireless network system with four sensor nodes and one mobile sink. Mobile sink transfers the collected data directly to the control station.

With the recent advances in automotive mobility, Autonomous Connected Vehicles (ACVs) in a platoon are becoming the wave of the future for Intelligent Mobility Systems (IMS). Autonomous Connected vehicles are driverless vehicles that are connected in the Vehicle to Everything (V2X) network infrastructure. Adopting Autonomous Vehicles in a platoon relies on wireless communication (IoT) and utilizing vehicular ad-hoc networks (VANETs). However, these Autonomous Vehicles are prone to security vulnerabilities, cyberattacks and road safety. Vehicular platooning as they rely on wireless communication networks leads to dangerous conditions for driving safety. The development of Autonomous Connected Vehicles (ACVs) has increased the need for secure and efficient communication and control mechanisms in Vehicular-to-Everything (V2X) architecture. This paper comprehensively reviews the recent research on communication and control mechanisms for secure ACVs in a platoon. The review highlights the challenges and opportunities in ACVs’ V2X communication and control mechanisms.

The threat caused by the ubiquitous nature of the internet and quantum-computer-assisted cryptanalysis amongst the networked devices, organizations and users seeks a redress within the security community to apply innovative ways in the development of information communication protocols. Quantum teleportation (QT) has emerged as a technology that promise unconditional security and providing new ways to design and develop frameworks that operate based on the principles of quantum physics such as entanglement and no-cloning. This study applied an evaluation approach to empirically investigate the effect of QT on the improvement of networked device communication security on layer 2 using a simulated experiment. Software Defined Network's OpenFlow, Mininet-Wifi and Simulator for Quantum Networks and Channels (SQUANCH) were considered as our coding approach. The empirical evidence revealed that QT has the ability to make it harder for anyone trying to listen-in, eavesdrop or tap into data in-transit. QT despite its known challenges i.e., interference, freespace loss, transmission loss etc., when implemented properly within reasonable scope can improve security for data in-transit. This will become an advantage when designing frameworks to adopt quantum technology for implementation.
