String sequence indexing is the basis of many applications including compression, route prediction, bioinformatics, text mining, string matching, etc. where the goal is to index huge sequences. Moreover, prediction application requires a probabilistic tree. Probabilistic Lempel-Ziv- is one of the widely used techniques for text compression as well as string sequence indexing. In many applications, it serves as a model for prediction. In this case, demonstrate the distributed computation in the case of route prediction. LZW model construction from the large corpus of historical data by processing sequentially is a challenge in the efficient implementation. Most of the current implementations are based on time-space complexity on a vertical salability on a single machine. Extending them to distributed parallel execution is still challenging and is very less researched. This work implements the computing on distributed computing clusters which achieves parallelism without sacrificing the accuracy using Hadoop distributed file system (HDFS). The objective is two-fold – first, applies LZW for route prediction, and second, addresses challenges in distributed computation.

In this paper, we carry out an experimental analysis to show how much perfectly the conceptual mining framework is working on mining process patterns and their enacted proportions from the business process enactment event histories logged with the IEEE-XES standardized format. In principle, the framework must be able to properly handle all the process patterns based upon the four types of control-flow primitives, such as linear (sequential), disjunctive (selective), conjunctive (parallel), and iterative (loop) patterns, together with the execution proportions. The paper focuses on not only verifying the conceptual feasibility of the procedural process mining framework through a series of experimental activities by using the implemented algorithmic mining framework and system, but also proving the functional correctness of the implemented process mining framework by applying to the real process instance enactment event histories of 10,000 workcases instantiated from the Large Bank Transaction Process Model and visualizing the details of the analytical artifacts and results, as well.

advances in digital communication play an important role in our daily lives in today’s world. In general, information security systems fall into two categories: encryption and information hiding. The storage and transmission of sensitive personal data have become a part of everyday life for professional and personal well-being. Therefore, the issue of secure storage and transmission of confidential information is interest to many researchers. Steganography is a collective method to hide sensitive data in unobtrusive digital media such as video, audio, and images. One of the biggest challenges in developing steganography systems is finding the right balance between metrices like reliability, security, and data privacy. This project provides information about how the Bit Plane Complexity Steganography (BPCS) technology is applied to both grayscale and color imaging techniques and assesses performance parameters such as data concealment, security and stability based on the peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) and Mean Square Error (MSE) with various test cases to explain how it works for different files and images.

The detection of some digits written by humans may seem very easy; however, in reality, it is a very challenging and tedious task to extract text from real images because of the wide variety of font sizes, shapes, textures and backgrounds, etc. This study aimed to recognize handwritten digit images by extracting the features from datasets. Then theses learned characteristics are subsequently submitted to the classifier to improve the overall performance. The Bagging and boosting techniques of ensemble learning were performed by integrating different base models. Each single base model corrected the errors of the previous model. Six bagging and boosting ensemble learning algorithms were used to recognize the handwritten digit images. Therefore, with 98% of accuracy, the extreme gradient boosting machine outperformed the other methods in terms of overall performance. A detailed analysis of the allocation of data among the base learners and their overall performance, including the model correctness, computation time, and error rate, was evaluated and projected.

This article provides an overview of the different types of Internet of Things (IoT) architectures, with more emphasis on new seven-layered model architecture for future big data-driven smart homes applied when building a system for achieving energy efficiency. One of the next evolutionary stages in Internet-based computations is the Internet of Things (IoT), which is already making a beneficial difference in a wide range of application sectors, including smart cities, sustainable living, healthcare, production, etc. We can transform the conventional grid into a more effective and intelligent energy grid with the help of IoT. The standards for various IoT technologies, including sensing, communication, and computing technologies, as well as how they relate to smart energy grids, will be the main focus of this article. Additionally, this article gives a thorough outline of the prior research on its IoT applications for Smart Grid systems. We conclude by highlighting a brand-new layered architecture that is suggested for the management and processing of massive data in future Smart Homes. The suggested Representational State Transfer (REST)-based architecture for future smart homes’ efficient data interchange and processing activities has seven layers, including physical, fog computing, network, cloud computing, service, session, and application.

Drusen, small lipid deposits located below the retina, are early biomarkers of age-related macular degeneration (AMD), a condition that leads to visual impairment worldwide, especially among the elderly. The presence of AMD is linked with Alzheimer's Disease (AD) and dense deposit disease (DDD), emphasizing the critical need for early and accurate detection of drusen in retinal tissues. Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), with its non-invasive and high-resolution imaging capabilities, stands as a pivotal tool for early AMD diagnosis through the identification of drusen. However, the reliance on manual segmentation of drusen in 3D OCT images introduces significant challenges: it is not only time-consuming but also subject to inter-observer variability, severely constraining its efficacy for widespread screening applications. These limitations underscore the critical need for an automated solution that can improve diagnostic workflows, ensure consistency across interpretations, and facilitate the processing of large datasets with improved accuracy and efficiency. In response, we propose a new deep learning-based, fully-automatic end-to-end approach for the segmentation of drusen in 3D OCT volumes. Complementary, a pivotal aspect of our research involves the first detailed comparative analysis between 2D and 3D end-to-end approaches. This comparison is crucial for understanding the impact of dimensional spatial information on the accuracy of drusen segmentation within OCT scans. The findings demonstrate that the 3D approach, by leveraging the depth and complexity of spatial data available in 3D OCT volumes, markedly surpasses the 2D approach. This superior performance underlines the importance of 3D spatial information in enhancing diagnostic precision. Through automating the segmentation process, our proposal not only makes AMD screening more efficient and precise but also significantly advances the diagnosis of retinal diseases, potentially enriching our understandin

The goal of this study is to decide on the correct model that can predict a credit card holder’s likelihood of missing their next payment based on their demographic characteristics and payment history. Our goal is to reduce the number of defaulters that are labelled as non-defaulters. That’s because our company can afford to have non-defaulters who do default but not non-defaulters who do not default, as it is implied that the bank has a stringent no-NPA policy (more or less). When putting machine learning algorithms into practice, supervised learning must be used since we have known upstream and downstream values and anticipate a prediction model at the conclusion. The correlation amid attributes and target sets is established in the first stage. Classification stage classifies input data into certain categories. In order to examine the performance of recommended approach, the comparison of recommended approach and other available approaches has been conducted in this work along with this achieving the 85% accuracy *** accurately categorizing credit card delinquencies and non-defaulters, the mortgage lenders will be able to utilize the accuracy of the model to lower the high delinquent rate.

Classification of data finds applications in various engineering and scientific problems. When real-time operation is desired, hardware solutions tend to be more amenable as compared to algorithmic/heuristic solutions. This paper presents a novel current-mode dual-threshold neuron designed and implemented at 32nm CMOS technology node. Subsequently, a current-mode double-threshold classifier is presented which is capable of classifying input patterns of non-linearly separable problems. Thereafter, application of the current-mode dual-threshold neuron in the realization of the XOR function using only a single neural unit is discussed. The proposed neuron as well as both the applications discussed are capable of operating from sub-1V power supplies. Computer simulations using HSPICE yield promising results with the values of delay and power consumption estimated to be lower than existing circuits.

With the rapidly evolving advancement in digital technologies multiple domains has been witnessing vast developments and enhancements ranging from home appliances to space dynamics. Especially automation sector has acquired maximum contributions from advanced computer technologies and thereby the necessity for automation in IOT has also increased dramatically. More manual tasks are getting automated these days using smart devices which can communicate with each other over internet. IOT enabled smart devices are used in many domains including Health care, Defense or military operations, space research etc. Due to the recent industrialization, IOT has seen tremendous growth. Multiple vendor products are available to complete a critical task. One downside to this advancement is there is no common / generic standard to be followed by these vendors which creates gap in data security. data loss while exchanging data through smart devices need to be prevented so that personally identifiable health data or military information is not available public over the wire. In this study we have created a scheme that uses elliptic Galois cryptography protocol to encrypt medical data used in IOT. This encrypted data is converted into low complexity image using stenography technique. Adaptive firefly optimization algorithm is used to complete the work effectively. The study also covers necessary logic needed to decrypt the data from low complexity image.
