In large scientific installations, there are various intelligent monitoring and control terminals, each using a different bus communication protocol. This project involves the system development of an embedded universal middleware based on ARM and FPGA. The system mainly includes a core bus module, a USB communication module and a signal relay module. It is connected to the host computer through USB and communicates with various smart devices at the other end. The system allows the host to freely select the desired bus communication protocol, thus realizing the communication with various intelligent devices. Simulations and tests show that the system can accurately and losslessly transmit various data and meet the requirements of large scientific installations. © 2024 IEEE.

The integration of multiple sensors and advanced technologies in the field of vehicle safety and security has emerged as a promising approach to enhance overall road safety and protect vehicles from potential threats. This paper presents a comprehensive study on the concept of synergistic multi-sensor fusion for advanced vehicle safety and security, focusing on the integration of cutting-edge technologies and intelligent systems. The proposed framework involves fusing data from various sensors to obtain a comprehensive and accurate perception of the vehicle's surroundings and safety of the driver. By combining the strengths of each sensor, the system overcomes individual limitations and provides robust detection and recognition capabilities. Firstly, it enables accurate and timely detection of potential hazardous gas, infront nearest obstacle detection, accident identification this allowing the vehicle to take proactive measures to avoid collisions. Secondly, it enhances security by detecting and mitigating threats, such as fingerprint-based security system, theft alert. Additionally, the integration of intelligent systems enables driver safety measure based on driver heart rate monitoring, fire detection, current location detection and prone zone vehicle control. This paper highlights the significance of synergistic multi-sensor fusion in advancing vehicle safety and security. The integration of advanced technologies and intelligent systems enables robust detection, recognition, and decision-making capabilities, contributing to a safer and more secure driving experience. © 2023 IEEE.

Our study investigates into the sericulture farming system, intending to improve both silk quality and production efficiency and decrease human intervention with worms. The primary elements influencing silkworms-temperature, humidity, and air quality-are meticulously regulated using an Arduino microcontroller and the Internet of Things (IoT). Data from on- field sensors is easily sent to a cloud platform, enabling farmers to monitor the fields remotely at any time with an internet connection. Our major goal is to attain top-tier silk quality with little human interaction, providing an inexpensive and effective answer to the sericulture sector. © Grenze Scientific Society, 2024.

Effective integration of available resources within edge nodes is essential to improve the performance of vehicular edge computing (VEC) to support various randomly offloaded tasks with limited computing capacity and constrained energy. This paper presents an intelligent adaptive resource integration strategy for VEC with harvesting energy. Service caching, task migration and resource allocation are jointly employed to accommodate the temporally and spatially varying computing demands. The optimization to minimize the long-term average task execution time under energy constraint is formulated as Markov decision processes and solved with a parameterized deep Q-network based learning algorithm. This algorithm employs a centralized training and distributed execution framework, where a parameter network and an action network respectively handle continuous and discrete decisions, effectively tackling the hybrid action space challenges in problem solving. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm not only achieves faster convergence but also significantly improves system performance compared to benchmarks. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper presents a gait analysis method in Parkinson's disease (PD) based on the Azure Kinect DK camera and human pose estimation algorithms, specifically RTMPose and MotionBert. The method extracts 3D human key points from RGB-D video to analyze gait parameters such as step length, step time, gait speed, arm swing magnitude, gait cycle, and turning duration. The results demonstrate significant differences in these gait parameters between Parkinson's disease patients and healthy individuals, and the method can analyze the patient's abnormal gait. The method offers a non-invasive, real-time tool for PD symptom assessment, with potential for low-cost monitoring and clinical application. © 2024 IEEE.

Under the background of the 'dual carbon' goal and related policies and the construction of new power systems, the large-scale deployment of sensing terminals and the explosive growth of the perception amount of data in the distribution system, the low transmission efficiency of the traditional distribution network has been unable to meet the needs of 'comprehensive perception and efficient collaboration'. How to achieve rapid transmission and real-time analysis of massive sensing data has become one of the main challenges of the new distribution network. Adding lossless compression to edge computing provides a way to transmit lightweight data at cloud edge. Considering the QoS requirements of differentiated concurrent services, this paper proposes an intelligent compressed cross-domain deterministic communication system for differentiated concurrent services. First, a cross-domain deterministic communication system model for differentiated concurrent services is constructed. The problem is optimized according to service QoS requirements and model constraints, and the service compression ratio is minimized under the condition that the service requirements are met. Then deep reinforcement learning method is used to solve the problem, and finally the proposed system effectively improves the certainty of massive distributed PV through simulation. © 2024 IEEE.

To achieve more accurately control the wheel speed of micro pure EVs powered by four-wheel side motors, this paper proposes four improved sparrow search algorithms (zxySSA1 zxySSA2, zxySSA3, zxySSA4), And four improved sparrow search algorithms were combined to form the "zxySSA". In this study, a mathematical and simulation model of a pure electric vehicle was established by analyzing the mechanical structure of the vehicle powered by four-wheel motors. Afterwards, simulation was conducted and the driving and control requirements for the wheel edge motor were obtained. Then, mathematical and simulation models were established for the wheel side motor used in the experiment for the permanent magnet brushless DC motor. The zxySSA was optimized through four methods: reverse learning strategy, good point set, improvement of follower position update formula, and dynamic adjustment of step size factor, to ameliorate the algorithm's ability to escape from local areas, reduce the probability of local optima, improve the uneven distribution of randomly generated initial populations, and reduce population diversity. Further simulations were conducted afterwards. The simulation results show that under different zxySSA controls, there are improvements in the motor's rise time, adjustment time, overshoot, and stable speed within a few seconds in different directions. The experimental results demonstrate that zxySSA has higher control accuracy and better response performance. By controlling the motor response and speed, the performance of pure electric vehicles is effectively improved. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper gives an overview of challenges introduced due to the interconnection of distributed generators into the grid. It also discusses the control technique and scope of AI applications in the mitigation of power quality issues. Exhaustive discussion is carried out on the interconnection of DGs to the grid and power quality issues. It also discusses the different controllers and algorithms that are used to control the parameters of the distributed generation system. A detailed comparison of conventional controllers studied by authors that are used in distribution generation is also discussed. Similarly, the application of artificial intelligence and adaptive algorithm in distribution generation is also presented as per the points, Different connection methods of DG's to the grid, the effect of distributed generation on power quality, the necessity of local voltage control of distribution generator, control methods and intelligent techniques. © 2024 IEEE.

The lack of popularity of full state feedback control structure among power electronics engineers primarily stems from the inherent difficulty in imposing constraints on state variables. Multithreaded state controller (MTSC) approach addresses this challenge and has offered a straightforward and efficient method to impose constraints in a full state feedback control system. This article explores into the application of the MTSC approach for speed control in a permanent magnet brushed DC (PMDC) motor, using estimated value of speed. Two new speed estimation algorithms are introduced in this paper, which utilizes sampled values of armature current and armature voltage at certain defined time intervals during a switching interval of the power converter, to arrive at the estimated value of speed. The simulation study done in MATLAB, validated the correctness of the proposed speed estimation algorithms and also the effectiveness of MTSC based speed control. © 2024 IEEE.
